Christner's Prime Steak and Lobster Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant is absolutely one of a kind. It makes you feel like your dining in Manhattan during the night, with soft music playing and the lights softly lite. The waiters are extremely knowledgable and makes the experience so much more enjoyable. The food is to die for. They really do take pride in perfecting each dish and the portions are MASSIVE. No matter how full you are you try to get one more bite in because that's how amazing their food is. I will forever continue to come to Christner's because the food and environment within that restaurant is spectacular.
Outstanding dining experience! Food was exceptional, perfectly prepared and served. Josh, our server, went above and beyond our expectations. One of the best parts was not being rushed through our meal, or needlessly interrupted. Christners is a top shelf restaurant!
We've been to Christners before and had a lovely experience. This time we reserved a table for 2 to celebrate our anniversary. We ended up seated in the bar area, there were 2 large tables with families celebrating loudly needless to say it wasn't the least romantic. The food was ok, my steak was overcooked and my husband's was very gristly, the spinach was delicious as was the wine I ordered. Next time I will request not to be seated in the bar, their other dining areas are much quieter.
Celebration of our Daughter's Birthday and their 15 Anniversary. Christner's is always consistent for the best food not only in the Orlando area but any where you go. Our steaks were to perfection as was the Tuna and all the other items, too many to mention. Food at its best! Not to forget our server Manny who is also the best. As you can tell it was a perfect evening and Christner's made it special as usual. They do a great job and Orlando is Lucky to have them.
Food came out luke warm and the main course arrived in stages instead of at one time.Sent steak back to be heated.Vegetables were tastless, quality of meat has gone down—very disappoited in experience.Second time in a row that this has happened so I think last night was my last visit.Always used this as a special place, but no more.
Well known Winter Park steakhouse. From my perspective the local upscale chains, Flemming's and Ruth Chris are considerably better value for your money. Food was very average, very bland and just boring. Had a "cheese plate" very reminiscent of the cheese cubes that you get on the deli tray form the local grocer. Sides, Asparagus, Osage Spinach and Potatoes Au Gratin were very bland with little hint of taste, seasoning or flavor. The lobster, at $7 per ounce for an 18 ounce lobster tail was some of the toughest lobster I've had in Florida in recent years. The only highlights, the lamb chops were outstanding as was the Calamari. Otherwise a very disappointing meal from an overpriced provider.
I travel for business, have what most would call an "expense account", and don't care about my cardiovascular health too much. Consequently, I eat at a lot of steakhouses. Christeners' remains my favorite and at least the equal of any big city steak house I have patronized. The beef (and tuna) are top notch and always cooked as ordered. The "Pittsburgh" style searing on steaks is the best I have had anywhere. Sides are large and all good. The wine selection is top notch and the sommelier very knowledgeable. Desserts are suitably decadent and large (the "Orange Cake" is our favorite).
The waitstaff have all been there for years are attentive but not annoying. Of special note is Kevin, who could have had a career doing standup...
While not inexpensive (but a better deal than their original affiliate "Del Frisco's"), it's very much worth it.
This was my second visit to Christner's and I was a little disappointed this time after having a wonderful experience my first time there. My husband and I went to Christner's to celebrate my birthday and were seated in the room with the piano. There were two tables with children near us and it just wasn't as 'nice', relaxing, and romantic as being seated in the back / main room. The food was still excellent.
Christner's maybe the best steakhouse in town by far, but don't forget they also have great fish. The salmon and grouper are always top notch!
My wife and I often order a steak and fish and have perfect surf and turf to share. Oh yeah, don't forget about the lobster!
great food, great service. and overall a great place to eat. But I have to be honest, I didn't care to have a magician visit my table. This place is way classier than that. That was the only parts of our dining experience that I didn't really care for. But that won't stop me from returning
Service was top notch! But everything else mediocre and not worth the money. They advertise live music, but it wasn't there. TV's in dining area ruined the atmosphere and ambiance. Definitely NOT cozy and romantic. Expected a lot more for $150 (1 starter, 1 salad and 1 main course - tuna, 3 glasses of wine and a coffee.) Potential is there, but the way it is now I'll never be back.
I was very disappointed. There is little to no real value for the price ($250) paid. For half the price the quality of the steak and lobster is much better almost anywhere else. This is Red Lobster quality food at MORE than Ruth's Chris price. Sad too because the atmosphere is cool, ild school. But WAY overpriced for what you get.
