I’m glad we chose Christener’s to celebrate my daughter’s 34th birthday celebration. Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. We will definitely dine here again in the near future
Best filet mignon I ever had! Asked for a steak knife, and they said: “Oh, boy! If you need a steak knife, then we’ve done something wrong!” We used the butter knife, literally! This place if fantastic in every aspect. I will be back again. And again, and again!
Best lobster ever!!!
Luigi was our server and everything was amazing!
All was great except waiter neglected to mention a food allergy item in a dish after we previously discussed it related to a different item.
Terrific old school steak house. Odd layout makes two rooms essentially bar seating. The older bar with TVs and a loud bar and the piano bar. Excellent food. Top notch service. Excellent wine list. Beef Wellington would have made Gordon Ramsay proud. Bone-in filet was undercooked at bone but I didn’t send it back. Lamb was amazing. Lobster bisque and Tomato & Onion salad are staples. Enjoy a great night out. Just probably won’t be a quiet dinner.
The best steak ever! the waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was fun! An all around wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!
Our experiences at Christner’s has always been great. We use to go there when it was Del Frisco’s. The only small problem is the number of people passing by to get to the back room. We were in the piano room which we love. Everyone including the hostess and waiters are always so nice and accommodating. Great restaurant.
Best place I have ever ate at!!
From the greeting at the hostess counter to the final comments at the completion of our meal all was exceptional A very fine evening Highly recomended to all of our friends
We went for our anniversary and everything was excellent. We were nervous going out to eat at a restaurant since this pandemic but they made us feel very comfortable and went above and beyond to make sure our visit was wonderful. Recommend them highly 👍👍
It was our 25th anniversary and everything was perfect! The food is always amazing! The filet and the wedge salad !!!
Always high quality entree's and valued priced...valet parking and great owner's
Luigi is an excellent host & waiter. Very warm & welcoming.
We are regulars. We have probably dined at your establishment more than fifty times in the last six years. Our server was awful. He got our order wrong, blamed it on the kitchen, then sent back the second order wrong again.
He reached over a female diner several times without excusing himself and brought lobster bisque to the table without offering to crack pepper on it, but then brought a salad later and remembered that time to bring the Peppermill.
The service was slow, as It took nearly 2 hours to have our meal. It was a frustrating evening we hope not to repeat.
We've been there 40-50 times. Best meal ever. Favorite restaurant.
Great food and great place for a special event we enjoyed ourselves
Food just not very good. Sloppy knife work and plating. Not high quality beef. In the same league as Longhorn or outback with the meat. Dessert was not good Longhorn and outbacks desserts are better. Service was lacking professionalism seemed like the wait staff were college kids with part time jobs.
Overall found the atmosphere, food and service very good. Will be returning soon.
Everything from start to finish was amazing. I understand lobster tail is exquisite but $9/oz is a bit high.
The food and the service are always outstanding, and the portions are generous. We especially enjoy the filet tips, crab cakes, and salmon entrees. We would like to try other sides, but the family-style portions are so large that we end up with leftovers, even if we only get one or two. Perhaps a smaller-size option would be appealing to other diners, as well. The prices establish this as a "special occasion" restaurant only, but the food and service keep us coming back. The last two times, we've been seated toward the back, so next time, I'll request a table near the piano bar for different ambiance.
Everything was great. Amazing food, terrific service, perfect for a really special night out. Best in town by a mile.
Everyone friendly and professional. Fabolous food. Live music. Perfect night
Not out best experience there. We were seated near the bar and a VERY loud and obnoxious older man sat at the bar the entire time and clearly had no situational awareness or an indoor voice. The staff seemed to know this customer very well, which surprised us that no one asked him to quiet down some.
Our server seemed like she was in a bad mood and she was very condescending overall and not friendly in the least. We were there for my daughters birthday with our grandson and she seemed very put out any time someone asked her for something.
Overall, not our best experience there.
Just a wedge and cocktail night at the piano. Perfect!
We experienced a wonderful 46th wedding anniversary dinner.
Great dining experience. Professional and attentive staff. Perfect timing with the delivery of each course. Steak cooked to perfection. Everything perfectly seasoned. This was certainly worth the 2-hour drive from Sebring. And then management helped us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with complimentary dessert. Perfect ending to a perfect night. Thank you all!!
You could cut the stake with a folk. Sooo really good
The food was fresh and delicious. Best filet ever.
Best steaks in town...and the fried oysters and sauteed mushrooms are superb. The lobster bisque is tasty but a bit gluey, and the sauteed spinach came covered in cheese, which kinda defeats the purpose of ordering spinach. Outstanding wine list with lots of excellent values. Desserts are huge and delicious...great carrot cake. Love Christner's for any birthday or anniversary. Lovelove the piano!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. We sat near the piano and loved the music. Enjoyable but soft enough to have a good conversation. The Ahi Tuna appetizer melts in your moutch and the potatoes (think chips) and onions were the best side I have had so far. My bone in filet was cooked to perfection and the carrot cake was a perfect ending to the evening. I also enjoyed the Bourbon flight. Will definitely be back!!
Super great experience! Made my mom's birthday memorable! Thank You!!!
Delicious!!! Huge portions
Service was great, very attentive, food was ok but not worth what we paid for. The staff is what will have me coming back!
Wonderful experience, price match the portions. Will definitely be back!
Steaks are legendary, but try the salmon once in awhile.
We went for a date, walking in a customer thought my husband was valet, lol the customer was very fancy dressed and very old, so he may not have noticed he wasn't part of the staff, lol the ambiance was nice, very very dark, the restaurant is in the middle of a so so area next to a 711 and a motel 6, the drinks where good, but pricey, the food was tasty a bit salty, and very over priced, they say that their beef is corn fed, now a days that's not really a good thing your paying $60 a steak for GMO meat, I am an organic farmer so for me it was like any other restaurant steak, watch out for workers passing by trying to take your drinks before your done drinking them, over priced, keep your drink as close to you as possible. the waiter recommended an orange cake for dessert so we did it was okay, huge but ok, the calamari was very tasty BUT it reminded me and tasted like General Tso chicken from a Chinese food joint. The steaks were good but more rare than what you order mines heart was still beating, lol over all it was a nice change of pace, they could really do a better job and keeping the bathrooms clean, it was pretty messy, i walked in the the last person left the water running, there was toilet paper on the floor, and they offered women tampons on the sink, but not pads, I thought that was strange I mean all women are different and Im sure if a young girl went in they wouldn't expect her to shove a tampon in her privates.
over all if you want to spend twice as much as you would at a regular chain restaurant, but need a different atmosphere and you have the money then i guess give it a go, i personally wont come back, i would rather go to Turners that buys local and organic.
Lobster tail was over priced and over cooked
Service was very slow
Very expensive some prices not on menu. Added a lobster tail with my steak. The price for the tail was $125. Not really worth that price.
This restaurant is simply the best. It all centers around the steak. Incredible. In addition, the sides are perfect. The ambience is romantic but also energetic. Highly recommend.
