Me and my husband was visiting from Ms. and was looking for a nice and elegant restaurant and I looked on line and found this one the food was great the waiter was great everything was great.
Great food, great service, but very pricey. Still a great special occasion restaurant.
We frequent Christner's probably once a quarter. We love the food, best steaks in town. This last visit our waiter was aloof and not very helpful, or perhaps knowledgeable about their wine by the glass selection.
He was more attentive to the larger table of 6 or 8 that arrived after us.
This was the first time we found the service at Christner's substandard.
Pleasant service; delicious food. Ambience is okay but a little bright. Martinis were excellent. Main problem was the size of the portions: huge! Way too much food for only two diners. Because everything is a la carte, I would have thought that one could order an appetizer, salad, entrée, side(s) and dessert, and actually eat what was ordered. No chance! By the time you finish the appetizer and salad, you're done. Prices are typical for this style restaurant - $$.
Christner's gets an A+ from me. Fantastic food, excellent service, high quality dining experience. Great for special occasions, dates, or just a great spot for a fabulous meal.
Great dinner again.
The food and service was outstanding. If you have not been to Christner's you need to plan to go.
We've had dinner at Christner's before and had always had good meals with them. This was an anniversary dinner I had ordered the Grouper and my wife Veal. My Grouper was fishy and not cooked through. Our waiter asked if he could get me something else, but by then I wasn't very hungry so I just sent the dish back. They took the dish off the bill and we left. When we got home my wife got sick to her stomach which lasted through the following day.
I don't think we'll be returning any time very soon
I took some clients out for dinner and they were treated to a world-class dining experience. The food was fantastic and the wine list was exceptional. We started with fantastic cocktails, then on to a great dinner. At the end of the night, we sealed a great relationship with our client and look forward to a profitable partnership. Thank you for playing a part in that.
We were celebrating our anniversary and decided we would go to Christner's. The entire time we were there we were treated like we were "special guests"; which we did not expect as great service is hit and miss at other upscale restaurants. Our server Brian was one of the best if not the very best server we have ever had. The food was delicious and the portion size were surprisingly large; we took leftovers home. The hot sourdough bread was wonderful, the salads were generous, the steak was fabulous as were the side items.
For dessert we had the orange mandarin cake which blew us away. Needless to say we will be back to dine.
Have heard such good things about this place but was a complete disappointment for us. The wedge salad was amazing but everything else was not. The filet was undercooked and had absolutely no flavor. The lobster Mac and cheese was very oily and watery, the only flavor was the very top crunchy layers. The chocolate cake was good but nothing to go back for. Doubt we will try again.
Everything was delicious except the cocktails. We tried something new and they weren’t great. But the food was amazing
Excellent food and service. This is the third time Melanie waited on us and
she is much more comfortable in her role as a server.
Hadn't been to Christners in a long time and needed a meeting place for a business meal. This couldn't be any better. The food and service was excellent. I was able to have a good conversation with my guest. Yes, I would highly recommend Christners for a great dinner or a place to have a meal while discussing business. The portions were so large, I had enough for breakfast the next day as well as dinner. No complaints here.
This place was recommended to me by a friend. It was a comfortable place with high quality steaks and sea food. Service was well above par. Definitely worth a visit.
I asked the hostess 4or 5 times when making reservations if we were in the piano room, if it would be loud to talk over. I told her I did not want that. The music was extremely loud, and I left with a migraine. I had wanted easy listening music that enhances the meal. My steak was ok but I have had better. The waiter was very nice but we waited a very long time for our entrees. Then we waited 15 minutes for after dinner coffee.
We had another great dinner at Christner's the other night. We sat in the right room back by the right bar. It was a great time as it was not too load and we spent the night in great conversations and visiting with our family. Pops was our waiter and once again created a perfect evening for us with his spectacular service. We always ask if he is working and to be seated in his section. The food was second to none and as always prepared perfectly and deliciously. You can not go wrong with any occasion that you are celebrating or just out for a great meal. We will be back.
Dee our server was wonderful best !
Food was great
Best steakhouse in Orlando bar none.
Excellent choices of steak and seafood. Appetizers choices are great. Steak prepared to order. Warning sides are definitely enough for two people.
I enjoy Christners I did not like the table I was at only because it did not allow me to cross my legs, which I found uncomfortable.
Our filets were cooked perfectly and very well seared. The sides were generous and very good. Tip: try the lobster bisque - it’s excellent.
We went to Christner's for date night and were pleasantly surprised. We've done other upscale steak houses in Orlando, and I think Christner's may have just jumped to number one on our list. We both had the filet, it was cooked perfectly. The sides were wonderful and plentiful, we had quite a bit of leftovers. The only negative is that we did get the orange sorbet for dessert, and while it was very fresh tasting, it was so frozen we couldn't get our spoon through it.
We I booked the reservation in-advance I requested to be seated in the “piano room.” We are usually seated there and that’s our preference . The hostess that were working Saturday, January 5th around 7:00PM were so snobby and rude and refused to seat us there. I guess I didn’t wear enough diamonds or gold this night to justify us being sat there. They wouldn’t make eye-contact when speaking with us even rolling their eyes during a passing comment. I hope when we return (which we dine here often) I won’t see either of them.
We had a lovely time!
Rate - EXCELLENT!
Great place for that special occasion weather it be business or personal.
Went in for dinner, Luigi adroitly managed the experience. Steaks were perfectly prepared and could be cut with a butter knife. Forgot to the rider the peppercorn sauce, darn. Tomato soup was a meal in itself. Yum. See you at n a couple of weeks.
Perfect meal and setting
Great food and great service!
Great Place for Dinner! Steaks were excellent and prepared to the point. Service friendly and attentive all the time
Simply the best steak experience in Orlando...and one the best anywhere!
Best Steak and Lobster in town...truly beats ALL others on restaurant row and I-drive!
Always great food. Highly recommended!!
I’ll keep it simple here. Christners is amazing. The waitstaff was very attentive but not at all intrusive. The food was beyond amazing. One of my favorite dinners, ever. In my top 5 of favorite restaurants. Don’t walk, run to Christners.
Received an upcharge on the final bill for 2 extra shrimp. Ordered the shrimp sampler and not the 2 extra... When asked, we were told that the kitchen "just adds" the extra shrimp on. So, basically it sold us something that we didn't ask for and we spent $29 for 6 ok-ish shrimp. Didn't make a big deal out of it since our cake was comped (we were there for a birthday). However, I did ask for said cake to have a candle or the words "50" on the dish in advance. Was told it wouldn't be a problem. Cake was just a cake - nothing special for a 50th birthday.
Great food and atmosphere for New Year’s Eve dinner
New Year's Eve dinner. Although crowded the meal was without any issue. Always high quality.
The best place, by far, for a delicious steak. New Year's Eve is not an ideal night for assessing an experience. The restaurant was extremely noisy. Our waiter did a fabulous job, efficient and attentive but never once made us feel rushed. We loved our entrees and sides. It was accompanied with plenty of freshly baked bread. My wine by the glass was a pleasing pinot noir. No room for dessert! We save Christner's for special occasions. Our favorite place to celebrate!
Tho is was a special dinner for New Year’s Eve. The dinner was great. We were taken straight to our table when we arrived and our server came shortly afterward. We were not rushed and enjoyed our dinner. Our food was excellent. This was not our first time at Christner’s and we will be back.
Our server Brian was wonderful. The food and drinks were great as usual and the bread is absolutely incredible! I would go just to get the bread!
