Amazing food! Will be back. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The sides were amazing and the orange cake for dessert is a must have.
Our waiter was top notch. They sat us near the live piano and he was taking music requests. The ambience was perfect. It was quiet and not super bright. We had a 5:30 dinner, which was intentionally an earlier dinner time. Not many people there. It was just us and another couple in this room. The food. Not sure what else to say other than it tasted and looked perfect. Each time we go to Christners it’s always the same.....perfect. Mr Christner himself even came over to wish us happy anniversary. What an enjoyable evening. And what a perfect way to celebrate our 27th anniversary.
The environment reminded me of an older 5 star restaurant from the 1990’s. The noise level reminded me of Buffalo Wild Wings. Not what I’m used to when I’ve gone to Ruth Chris or Del Frisco’s. It made for a weird anniversary dinner listening to table 44 who are regulars that enjoy having raunchy loud conversations with their friends but the staff didn’t care because of the tab that would be collected at the end of the night. The food was superb and my waiter was fabulous. Don’t go if you want a nice romantic dinner and avoid table 44.
Birthday dinner was great for party of 6. Parents first visit and we were seated in a back room with no ambiance. Asked to be moved and they moved us to a prime dinner spot. All was good. Lamb chops were amazing and steaks were great as usual. We’ll be back soon.
By far, the best place in Orlando to eat. Dave and Alice are wonderful hosts!
Great vibe, great service and very good food. Matt the waiter is second to none.
Onion rings are the best! We always order a To-Go order too.
Always excellent is the steak trio with wonderful sauces to go with them.
Wife loved the broccoli side dish.
Makers Mark special bourbon is great.
Probably the best dinner I’ve had in Orlando, and I’m a native. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be the last.
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and had the cheese plate and lobster bisque appetizers. The lobster bisque is better than any I’ve had in any of the touristy steakhouses, or at the high-end Disney restaurants. The cheese plate is served with candied bacon that’s addictingly delicious, and an apricot-jalapeño jam that was also very tasty.
My wife had the ribeye, Oscar-style, and I had a filet. Both steaks were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and coarse-grind pepper, and cooked beautifully. The lobster mac and cheese is stupendously rich, creamy and tasty, with lots of cheese and garlic flavor, and big, meaty chunks of lobster.
For dessert, we had the mandarin orange cake, which by itself was pretty good, but became stellar with the addition of the orange cream sauce.
Their wine cellar is tremendous, and their whisky flights are well presented and feature unique selections.
Christner’s has definitely earned its place at the top of my special occasion list.
This place is awesome. They really went out of their way to make my birthday special. Not to mention the food is outstanding!
This was the most memorable dinner we have had in a long time. Josh our server was so committed to making us completely satisfied with every aspect of our evening from excellent wine recommendations to the most amazing tuna app we have ever had, a wonderful crab cake, to my husbands bone in filet and my filet mignon. Every recommendation was spot on including the orange cake which we took back to the hotel. I don’t usually use so many superlatives, but the service and food presentation and tastes were worthy. Thank you Josh, you were so enjoyable!
The experience was exceptional, as always. This was our third visit and we celebrated a very special occasion on this day. The staff made us feel like family and made us feel so great! I will forever come back and be loyal patron. The food is absolutely amazing!
Service was outstanding and very attentive. Food was prepared perfectly and served with style and grace. The perfect meal and the perfect evening.
Been here in the past and it never fails to deliver. Excellent food and service
Victor is great. Food was very good, and timely. The restaurant was very busy which was great to see!!
By far the best steakhouse in Orlando. The service was the best of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Ask for Eduardo as your server - he is so attentive and kind. Made great recommendations. Steak was delicious, side dishes were incredible. Can not recommend enough!
My husband and I went to Christner's for my birthday and at first we were delighted with the ambiance and the beautiful décor. The waiter was very attentive and wonderful. We got our drinks and ordered appetizers, but then our waiter disappeared. My husband got his appetizer, but mine did not arrive (ahi tuna, no cooking required). His was soup, so I encouraged him to start eating after waiting many minutes so it would not get cold. He then completely finished his soup and I still had not seen the waiter, so I asked another servicer to cancel my appetizer as I no longer wanted it. With disregard for my request and without apology, I was presented with my appetizer and the waiter left without comment. When he finally returned I asked him to wrap it up to take it home.
We then shared a steak which was excellent, but I was disappointed in the side dish. We ordered creamed spinach and it came loaded with cheddar cheese on top (not our taste and no mention on the menu).
However, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert (it was complimentary because of my birthday) and it was magnificent!
Overall it was a wonderful evening. However it is challenging for me to rate them as excellent when the appetizer issue occurred without apology. Maybe it is just short staffing due to COVID, so I will likely give a pass and try it again. Other than the appetizer event the server was excellent. The many small rooms are cozy and perfect for intimate gatherings and my husband and I enjoyed the evening of quiet and pleasant conversation.
Luigi was fantastic! Sommelier chose an incredible Bordeaux!
Always the best!
Service, food, drinks, management...all 5 STAR!
The Service and attention by our host was top notch. I expected to be wowed by the food. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We ordered the lobster tail. One of the worst ones we have had at any restaurant. It was overcooked, and had the consistency of plastic. At a cost of almost $180 this was completely unacceptable. The spinach left much to be desired if as well, but was ok.
Always the best
The best steak house in Orlando. We have been to most of the steak houses in Orlando and Christners definitely impressed. The service was amazing especially our server Luigi. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.
Great as always. The food and service are wonderful.
Good service and great food! We wish they would do something special for anniversaries, that’s the only downside.
The food was good. Had the fried group bites as appetizer (on special), and of course steaks (one filet, one strip). Steaks were cooked perfectly. The “ok” part of the night was the service. Service was timely but the server was scattered. For example, the server was in the middle of opening our bottle of wine when she got distracted and walked over to adjacent table, with our bottle in hand, and proceeded to talk to the other table for about 5 mins... then returned to finish opening the bottle. Was just a poor move and not characteristic of a top performing steakhouse.
Excellent dining experience. Better than Flemmings, Ruths Chris or Fishbones. Service was impeccable. Food preparation and quality was exceptional. Cocktails were prepared well and priced better than other places we frequent. I would highly recommend Christners for special occasions or just a great night out. Calamari was the best I have had in years. Steak was as tender as any one I have ever had. Lobster tail was excellent. This is our new favorite restaurant. If you have the opportunity to talk with Jim Flannigan, do so. He can give you the history of Christners and is very engaging with all the customers
My wife and I live 100 Miles away and head over on special occasions.
They never disappoint. Its our go to place for the food and ambiance. Love the attention to detail.
Jim is always welcoming and I hope they just keep doing what they do so well!!
we LOVE this place the best food around and nice dinning
The food was amazing! Ambiance was out dated but we still enjoyed ourselves. Had to mind our voice level as the room we were in was very quiet. But overall a great experience. Would dine again at the bar
Very delicious, simple and bone-in ribeye steak was outstanding with the peppercorn sauce! Broccoli au gratin and mashed potatoes!
Fabulous Beef Wellington, and Crab Cakes. Prices are a little outrageous but it's great quality food. You get what you pay for. Will most definitely be back.
We have dined at Christner’s many times, but this time, the experience was less than 5 stars because of service. I will say this was a fluke, because every other time we have eaten at Christner’s the service has been impeccable. First, the waiter forgot to bring someone a drink they ordered. Then 3 people ordered salads, one person ordered a salad as their main meal. He forgot all 3 salads, and it wasn’t until we asked for them that he remembered. When they were bringing the food out, all the food went to the wrong people, and I heard the person serving the food that the waiter wrote it down wrong, so we had to rearrange everyone’s plates. We were missing 2 sides once everything came out, and when we mentioned it we were questioned as if it wasn’t what we ordered. At the end of the night, we weren’t asked if we wanted checks split, and once we did (after 1 check was presented) the waiter told us he could not remember who ordered what, and we had to write down what everyone ordered. We did sit in the room next to the bar, so it was much noisier than usual, and there was live piano music which was nice.
always a hit..whenever i am in the mood for consistently amazing service and food. Server was fantastic and we were sitting right next to the amazing and talented piano player. Thanks for a great evening.
Great food and atmosphere
We had an unusual experience this week at Christeners. Normally our food is perfection this time everything was off. Our filet had more fat than meat and just not great. Even our normally sizzling plate was cool enough to touch! We’ll be back because we love them but if this had been our 1st visit it would have been our last
Top notch place to be every Monday!
This is my favorite fine dine restaurant. I really like the lobster mac n cheese, rib eye steak, and the orange cake. Every dish that I ordered, I was not disappointed. Worth every penny.
I’m glad we chose Christener’s to celebrate my daughter’s 34th birthday celebration. Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. We will definitely dine here again in the near future
Best filet mignon I ever had! Asked for a steak knife, and they said: “Oh, boy! If you need a steak knife, then we’ve done something wrong!” We used the butter knife, literally! This place if fantastic in every aspect. I will be back again. And again, and again!
