Christakis Greek Cuisine Ratings and Reviews
We love everything about Christakis. We pick-up food to-go more often than dining there, but always enjoy the experience. The wine selection is enormous, the ambiance on the outdoor patio is great, service is always excellent, & the guitar player adds nice background music. The food is fantastic! Love having this gem in our neighborhood. Wish the parking was better, but we always manage to find a spot.
Excellent Greek food. I have dined at the best Greek restaurants in NYC and Chicago. The food here is just as good for a quarter of the price! You feel like there are grandmothers cooking the food in the kitchen. It was a great evening of enjoying food!
First time here tonight and it is obvious they go out of their way to make you feel welcome from the hostesses to the management. This along side excellent greek food equals a great dining experience. Will surely be back.
We ate on the patio with the fountain going and the heat lamp to take care of the chill in the air. The guitar music was wonderful as was the food. I had the lamb chops and they were huge the avaolemona (Greek lemon egg soup) was the best. Their pita is so good warm with spices which we enjoyed with the trio
This was our first time trying this restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was outrageously delicious. Frankly, I didn't expect it to be so good. It exceeded my expectations.
I read reviews that said the service was outstanding but, truthfully, I would have to say it was as expected but, not outstanding. While the service was very good, I have very high standards based on my experience at another restaurant in the area which no other restaurants has ever come closer to.
I will definitely return to this restaurant because the for was great.
What an excellent evening!! We had a table on their patio which oozes charm with the plants, lighting and gurgling fountain. Perfect wine suggestions from the knowledgeable staff! We shared almost all the appetizers along a salad and souvlaki. Everything tastes freshly made and authentic!! Memorably delicious!
Love the local and family atmosphere. The meatball appetizer was excellent as was the authentic villager salad. The sea bass/lamb chops special was very good although the last several visits we have experienced undercooked lamb chops. Although ordered medium rare they often come out practically raw. That needs some attention. The t-bone special was very good according to my wife. Greek Cabernet was quite good and reasonably priced. Dessert of bacclava was quite good (and on the house).
We were welcomed warmly and received great service throughout our meal. The server recommended the dolmades, which turned out to be the best I've ever tried. All of us in our group thoroughly enjoyed our entrées. We were offered complimentary baklava for dessert to cap off an excellent meal
Wonderful experience for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary! I'd been years ago and it was my husband's first time. Ou server was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. and even surprised us with an anniversary desert complete with candles. The wine and food brought us right back to our honeymoon in Santorini.
Thank you for such a wonderful evening Christakis!
We recently relocated to SoCal and have been in search of a really good Greek restaurant. Although there is a restaurant closer to our home, we found this to be well worth to 35 minute drive. Excellent menu. The lamb chops were fantastic. Our waiter, Austin, was very good as well. Will ask for him when we return. Although the patio is small it is quaint and comfortable. Make sure you include your request when you book your reservation.
We've been going to Christakos for a long time and love the family atmosphere. In this visit the cooking was the best we ever had from the meatball appetizer to the Greek salad, to lamb chops and the shrimp special. Having just returned from Crete and Athens, it was like reliving the experience.
We took our friend there for her birthday and sat on the patio. It was a lovely evening listening to the fountain, eating delicious food, waited on by wonderful staff. They provided delicious baklava with a candle in it -- and the musician played "happy birthday" on his guitar. Wonderful, wonderful restaurant! (I plan to request the same place for my birthday!)
