Both food and service are good but not great. Tables are too close to each other, impossible to have a private conversation.
Food was good. But the wine by the glass was an under-pour. I think the standard is five glasses per bottle? The restaurant was trying to get eight. At the end of the meal, after I'd paid the check, I pointed the stingy pour out to the waitress. She said it was the owner's policy. For a $14 glass of wine, it left me with a bad feeling, even though we had a good dinner.
This was the perfect local neighborhood spot to enjoy before heading the symphony. The butternut squash ravioli was perfect!
Some of the best beef Bourgogne and perfect filet I have had. Service was friendly and efficient.
Delicious food, kind and helpful staff, great experience. The tables for 2 are small and close together, but we were given a nice spot and we really appreciated that.
Mostly reflective surfaces, so it gets quite noisy, but the liveliness is enjoyable, as is the decor.
The food was very good, and so was the service. The only problem for us was the noise.
Excellent French food for the price, good service too.
Forced us to sit in the patio, even with empty, open tables in the restaurant. Said our open table reservation wasn’t the same as a “real” reservation.
We booked lunch for restaurant week only to find out that weekend was excluded from restaurant week deals. Stayed there anyway. Small, nothing special inside. Food was good, large portions and tasty. Coffee was tiny. Impossible to find parking . So, if you already parked and want good food, go there. However, I wouldn’t drive specifically just for this place.
No BS. Just sincere service and terrific food. Great vibes. Go. Enjoy! I’ll be back. I hope I can still get a res./JPMD, Philly
Good restaurant for a casual dinner. Great value, great location.
Everything about our experience was superb. The staff, food and service were outstanding. I had their filet and it was absolutely delicious. Not to mention they have my very favorite bubbly on their wine list! I I am looking forward to a return trip!
We were getting together to celebrate my birthday but never really told our server, however at the end of our meal she brought us 2 glasses of champagne.
I had tuna tartar and it was presented in a very unusual way with frisée and shoestring potatoes-fabulous. My friend had the nicoisse and it was wonderful as well,
Servers were very attentive but not overly solicitous.
It was s very nice experience/I’ll put it on my Regular List!
Good diverse menu. High quality food with wonderful friendly service. A gem of a neighborhood place to go.
Great brunch, warm and welcoming staff and excellent service. What more can you ask for! Can't wait to go back for dinner -- my husband's a big fan of beef bourguignon!
This was our second time here. The atmosphere is relaxed while lively, rather than hurried or anemic. Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Authentic French bistro food and staff. The menu had a good selection of meat, fowl and fish; and veggies were prepared to our liking. My wife ordered sole in lemon buerre sauce, which she enjoyed throughly. My salmon was overwhelmed by the garlicky spinach and sauce though. We enjoyed ourselves nonetheless and will return next time we are in the neighborhood.
Great food, great location and great service.
This restaurant is a great neighborhood find. Excellent French food with a great wine list. Also has outdoor dining.
Nothing fancy about this neighborhood country style French restaurant but the food is consistently good and reasonably priced (by San Francisco standards). Service is friendly and attentive and their wine list, although not large, is rather creative with some interesting choices available. Good place to go for a relaxed meal in a quaint setting.
Enjoyed dinner here on Christmas Eve while visiting from out of town. Loved the atmosphere and the food and everyone was extremely hospitable. They don't have chocolate mousse on the menu (which is a shame) but everything else was delicious!
Took BFF here for her birthday and was not disappointed. Truly is a neighborhood gem! We started with tuna tartar - AMAZING and fresh!! Entrees were filet mignon and the sole. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The mussels are certainly a favorite here. Every other table had at least one person with the mussels dish. A fairly extensive wine list if ordering by the bottle; significantly less options if you order by the glass but still a great selection. The service - from the hostess to waitress and server - was warm, friendly, and quick. The vibe was casual and relaxed. Can't wait to go back!
LOVE everything I’ve had here! Poke and boeuf bourguignon especially
It’s always amazing here. Wonderful staff and delicious food. This place is a gem.
Overall I had a very nice experience at this restaraunt. The place was intimate and good for conversation, service was excellant. The food that we ordered was also excellant. My only complaint was that i found the portion size of the Steak Frites that we ordered was fairly small for the price. I did notice that other diners who ordered other dishes had quite large portions, so it may simply have been that one entree and I would not let it deter my from coming back.
Could you add Vegan entrees to your list of things to recommend (or not)? We really enjoyed our meal, but for some reason the restaurant hadn't received my request to have a warm vegan entree. They were able to create one, and I hope they add it to their menu so that other diners will know it's available.

Pleasant Pacific Heights neighborhood restaurant. Very French, like a Parisian bistro. Very tasty food, generous portions, and fair prices, particularly for the area. Spartan setting.
Service is outstanding! This is an incredible neighborhood spot. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately the dressing on all of our salads had no taste. I had quiche and it was not very creamy.
I had my birthday dinner here and the staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. All 9 of us were happy with the service, food and prices. I would definitely go back.
Outstanding in all respects. We made a last minute reservation and when we arrived, the hostess (co-owner?) was unable to seat us due to a lingering table of four. We were fine waiting, but she insisted on provided our drinks (beer and wine) free of charge. The food was delicious (trout salad, flamenkuche, steak frites, duck confit, dessert, dessert wine selection). The service was perfectly paced and the servers very warm and personable (including the woman who seated us---I wish I had noted her name. Kudos to the restaurant for such amazing front staff, and of course the chefs). The atmosphere is straightforward, simple, unpretentious, cozy. Next time we're in San Francisco we will be back!
Great neighborhood Gem in beautiful Pacific Heights. My daughter and I went for Sunday Brunch and were pleased with menu selections and food quality. This was my second time here
for brunch and will definitely return..
the food was good--not great; the waiter very nice; one complaint--i ordered a glass of ro.se champagne to start---it was flat -no bubbles--taste ok---i should have sent it back but didn't---suspect the bottle was opened the day before
Great food and service!! Had the short ribs (special for the night) and canard confit. Highly recommended.
Amazing food, and so reasonably priced. Great service. The perfect environment for my boyfriends birthday.
Lovely bistro ambiance. Wish the lunch menu had a few more entrees. Staff was excellent, attentive and friendly, Will return soon!
Fillmore neighborhood gem that gives the feel of Paris without the jet lag. The salad Nicoise is
perfection for a light lunch. Try it out....
The restaurant is super cozy and had great waitstaff. The meal was absolutely delicious! We had the beef stew and the salmon with mushroom risotto as well as the chocolate fondant and lemon tart which were all to die for! Also half-priced bottles of wine on Monday nights is a steal!
The restaurant accommodated a slight delay in our arrival and allowed a friend to join us at the last minute. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious.
Recently had lunch here and the food was wonderful. I had a lovely salad with flakes of trout and my son had a lovely fluffy omelette. While the food was the fresh and tasty, the wait staff was rather inattentive. She rarely came by and I had to flag down a bus boy and ask for check. Still, waited 10 min for check after requesting it.
