Great steaks as usual! Maître d’ management awesome! Are we either have a couple of mishaps but overall a very good experience
Always great ambience. The steaks are perfect! Great restaurant and worth the price.
The black grouper should not have been listed on the specials if it was not available. The snapper was not at all worth the substitution....very salty and fishy.
We like the place!
Our table was waiting for us. Consistency great and staff is very welcoming
Been to chops many times, usually its fantastic. This meal came up way short, our steak was chewy and had lots of tendons going through it. The first wine we ordered was not good. Service was also slow and lacking, which is unexcusable since we ate at 5:45 and the restaurant was basically empty. I hope they step up things in the future.
Visiting from NYC, the restaurant had a very clubby feel. We of course had the Porterhouse which was good but nothing extraordinary. I would strongly suggest the Corn Mash.
Excellent upscale restaurant.
Steak and sides are up to par with the best of the genre with service to match.
The delicious small onion rolls in the bread basket are indicative of the small pleasures of dining here.
Dover sole was in the pan for a minute or two too long which resulted in over cooked fish. This was surprising since this restaurant is also under the management of a quality fish restaurant in the area.
Other than that, it was a terrific evening.
There is a three course price fixe menu available Sunday - Thursday that is well worth the price.
Can’t beat the Happy Hour or their Price Fixed. The regular menu is terrific as well. Very nice ambiance and you will not go wrong. Trust me. You’ll enjoy a wonderful evening
Steak was not good. No flavor. Did not eat meal. Very disappointed. Manager never came over and waiter couldn’t deal with this. Cosmo was cranberry juice in a glass. Restaurant was beautiful and should have been amazing meal.
always great. prix fix menu has great value. staff is always professional and friendly.
A very good restaurant with excellent service and well presented food.
This is suppose to be an upscale steak/seafood house that falls short. It cannot be measured against Mortons, Capital Grill, Ruth’s Chris, etc. Two of our party of 4 were sick afterwards. I had the fried lobster tail for $59 that supposed to be lightly fried. It was like a giant deep fried shrimp. I could only taste the fried coating. Some basic serving knowledge that should be passed on to servers is to remove wine glasses from people that aren’t drinking wine, make sure water is always filled, remember requests made by patrons and to be more attentive to patrons. My usual experience from higher end steak houses is that the waiters are extremely professional. This place lacked that. Won’t be back.
Perfect from beginning to end
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Boca area. Lobsters are always cooked to perfection and was this evening as well. My steak came out too well done the first time, but perfect and delicious the second time. Getting it re-done was no hassle as the waitress waited for us to try our food before leaving the table - something only the best restaurants do.
We were celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary and we were pleasantly pleased with the ambiance, and decor of the Lobster Bar, the food was excellent, the fillet was mouth watering good. The Lobster tail was huge and umm so good. The potato was meant for two, order just one and share. At the end of the meal we were surprised with a banana pudding with a whipped cream. My God, I thought grand mother made it and she has been in heaven for more than fifty years.
Finally; the service was great, the waitress was very attentive, ensuring we were happy with the seating arrangement, and the food.
I highly recommend placing Chops Lobster Bar on your to dine list.
Food was very good service was excellent however restaurant was noisy
This was our 3rd visit to Chops. Fantistic service with a great menu.
After property searching in Boca...this was the best place to take the wife to enjoy our accomplishment
Food, service, ambience excellent. A bit noisy. Pricey but very nice for special occasions not for casual dining
Was seated immediately, friendly server, good atmosphere. Once our meal came, no one came by to see how everything tasted. I had a bone in rib eye, 50% plus fat and bone and it was tough and did not eat much of it. The French onion soup was great, as were the potatoes, bread and dessert. My husbands filet was also excellent. Would not recommend the creamed spinach which had an unknown spice in it which I think may be been mint. The mushrooms were pretty tasteless. If you are having a meal that cost almost $300.00, I would not say this was not worth that kind of money or lack of anyone being interested in making sure all was excellent.
What a great experience.. Everyone went above and beyond to make our evening special, and the kobe beef was the best beef i have ever had!!!! A 10 plus on everything!
Four of the five of us had perfect meals. The one meal that was not cooked to order (meat was well done as opposed to rare/medium rare) was replaced and we were not charged for it (that was the restaurant's decision - we had not asked for reimbursement).
We will definitely return - staff was polite and apologetic -
Restaurant was a little noisy - would request a quiet corner next time -
CHOPS IS THE BEST !
General manager Moe and Maitre d ' Monroe greet every patron as if they were family . Service is always perfect .
On this evening we started with the spinach salad for 2 , extra mushrooms--prepared tableside by Dean . An outstanding performance and a great starter .
I had the dover sole , also prepared tableside . The best Dover sole --ever . I get it regularly .
My son had the bone In-filet--delicious--prepared Pittsburgh medium --PERFECT !
We split the large order of onion rings--crispy and delicious and the sautéed mushrooms ; also delicious .
No room for desert, but we brought home the banana cream pie --which was great the next morning .
CHOPS is Boca's " go to " restaurant . You'll never be disappointed .Simply the BEST !
Excellent. The price fix dinner is a good buy.
Celebrated our birthday here. Great food, great wine
Celebrating our granddaughter ‘s arrival in Florida. One of our favourite dining spots!
Meal was excellent but very salty.
Service was excellent, better than our last visit. Steaks as usual were perfect! Potatoe was large.
We've been to this restaurant many times and it's almost always excellent. This time, the service was really very poor. Waiter was personable, but not at all attentive during the evening. Very slow, water not refilled, had to ask several times repeatedly during the dinner to get more water. Some of the food was served before others in our party. Then the Dover Sole, which was brought to the table later than the other meals, was left to be filleted, while the server poured coffee for another table. Most of the table was finished eating before that person even had her Dover Sole in front of her. Really not one of our better dining experiences.
If you really appreciate steak, I mean to the point where you can speak intelligently about what you're eating, then it's a must go. Tonight I had a 60 day dry aged porterhouse , 40oz and it was exquisite. Flavors were close to some of the best steak I've ever had. I also tried the grade A5 Japanese Wagyu filet which was out of this world. Cost should never be an issue if you love steak this much.
Birthday and was treated like a Queen...Very special!
We arrived on a busy Friday night and were seated promptly in the back dining room as per our request. We love the open kitchen and herringbone tiled ceilings in this room. We ordered a round of drinks and perused the menu. I ordered the French onion soup Austin gratin which was delicious. My mother and wife split the CHOPS chopped salad which was generous enough for two. For dinner I ordered the 20oz pepper encrusted bone in Ribeye.. one of the best I have had...and I have had many!!! Mom had the Triple cut Colorado Porterhouse Lamb Chops...they were as big as her head!!!! Ordered medium rare they came out very rare but our waiter quickly whisked them off and remedied the problem...mom said they were yummy. My beautiful wife had the 8 oz Filet medium rare with a blue cheese butter it came out perfectly and she claims it melted in her mouth. Our sides were the organic baby carrots and the thick cut onion rings ...wow. We all had desserts overall a great date night. One of our favorite places for steak while in Florida.
What an amazing dining experience. We had incredible service and incredible food. There wasn't one thing that I could say needs improvements. You just need to know that this is extremely pricey.
Delicious beef meals. A little pricier than we expected, but delicious. Valet parking complimentary a plus.
We where disappointed. Our food was not served at the same time (even though there where only two of us in our party). When served, our food was not even hot. Disappointing because we had heard this was supposed to be a great restaurant.
Reservation was punctual. Host staff was friendly, warm and professional. Waiter was also warm and friendly. Helpful and patient. His assistant was also nice and helpful.
We ordered steaks. Both were cooked more than perfect. The cuts of beef were top notch.
Our Valentine’s date was memorable.
I’m glad I chose Chops Lobster Bar to celebrate this day.
Really good overall! 5stars!
Amazing Stone Crabs and juicy soft steamed lobster!
