Chops Lobster Bar - Boca Raton Ratings and Reviews
If you really appreciate steak, I mean to the point where you can speak intelligently about what you're eating, then it's a must go. Tonight I had a 60 day dry aged porterhouse , 40oz and it was exquisite. Flavors were close to some of the best steak I've ever had. I also tried the grade A5 Japanese Wagyu filet which was out of this world. Cost should never be an issue if you love steak this much.
Reservation was punctual. Host staff was friendly, warm and professional. Waiter was also warm and friendly. Helpful and patient. His assistant was also nice and helpful.
We ordered steaks. Both were cooked more than perfect. The cuts of beef were top notch.
Our Valentine’s date was memorable.
I’m glad I chose Chops Lobster Bar to celebrate this day.
Really good overall! 5stars!
A wonderful Valentine's Day dinner experience once again at Chops! The Tomahawk Steak for two was cooked to perfection and the flash-fried lobster bite appetizer was sensational. I must add that Monroe, the gentleman who runs the front of the house, was most accommodating that evening, as I was delayed 30 mins due to a traffic nightmare on I-95 in Miami. Thanks again, Monroe!
Hadn't been to Chops in a long time. It was very busy so service was a little slow but still excellent. The food was absolutely perfect. We ordered 2 Bone in Rib Eyes for two, one medium and one Pittsburgh medium rare. Both done perfectly, and the Pittsburgh was just delicious. Forgot how good their steaks are at Chops and whomever cooked my steak should win a Nobel peace prize!!
We arrived early in the evening, before the restaurant filled. We were greeted as guests but, from the moment we were seated, we were treated as family. The service was great, the food was served hot and the filet mignon and lobster tail could not have been prepared any better. Our party has been raving about this treat since their first taste of their respective entrees.
We highly recommend.
Ate here before and was not impressed. Thought I would give it another shot. Made a late reservation and called to see if we could come in early. Spoke to the maitre D , Monroe, who told us to come over now. Arrived to be non greeted by a very unfriendly young lady who basically laughed at us. Monroe came over and said we had to wait for 1 1/2 hr for our reservation; and they were running late. When we said we were leaving, they sat us outside. After 25 minutes of no waiter, we walked out.
This is an overpriced, unfriendly, mediocre food quality meat shop. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Would never come back even if they send Monroe back to waiter school, or polishing school. Much better steakhouses around where you are treated like guests not cattle!!
CHOPS is Florida's most outstanding restaurant . The food, service and ambiance is outstanding . Monroe greets every customer as if they were part of his family .
The steaks are always prepared to absolute perfection . Fish, particularly the Dover Sole, is the best I've ever had--and prepared tableside . My favorite steak , the 32 oz bone in rib eye serves 2. All of the sides are great .
All deserts are prepared in house and are wonderful .
CHOPS--absolutely the BEST !
Food was good but the service was on par with an Applebys/Maggianos type of restaurant. Waiter never smiled, wasn’t attentive, was clearly having a hard time keeping up with his tables (as all the wait staff seemed to be.) Dinner took a long time, service was slow and disorganized. For the price? Never again. The value wasn’t there by any means. Absolutely nothing special about this place.
Finally a decent restaurant where everyone is treated the same. Ask to have our table changed when being seated and hostess was nervous but changed after checking with manager. The wine and cocktails are pushed but the overall experience was very nice. FOOD very good and service wonderful. As we left the host said good night and thank you and called us by name. Whatever system they have it’s a very nice touch. CLASS
