In my opinion the food wasn’t amazing for the price point. I ordered the A5 wagyu steak and it was burnt on the outside and slightly over cooked inside. The asparagus has no seasoning and the lobster Mac and cheese was good but a basic Mac and cheese. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again but the service was good.

Beautiful restaurant, top quality service, fantastic menu. Very polished service. Great that they have Kobe beef and great sales job to my date but for just 6 Oz, maybe I should have been told I would be charged over $200. for just the meat, not even a side! That would have been courteous! Obviously it is an unusual offering. And do I tip for that "mistake"?

I’ve been going to Chops for years and have never had such a bad experience. Server was very rude from the moment we sat down. He ignored some of us with drink orders. Food was not brought out together and quality was not good. I know it was busy but that shouldn’t be an excuse.

Over the top delicious. I highly recommend. They know how to do it right. Professional wait staff, upscale decor, amazing food, indoor and beautiful outside dining area.
Our Waiter, Dennis added an extra special touch. A few stand out choices...lobster bisque and the crab cakes.

The seafood food was overcooked, oily/butter and old crab and low quality or old fish. Crab cake filled with a type of Old Bay like seasoning and more filling than crab.

Dear restaurant, I rarely leave negative reviews however this was exceptionally disappointing.

Disappointed that one of our meals took too long and then was not taken off of the check.

I’ve been once before years ago and loved it. We were just there. I was very shocked to see prices - especially considering food was less than spectacular. 2lb lobster was definitely less than 2 lbs. and it was rubbery. The sides were small and bland. The filet and steak were very basic and nothing special. Very unimpressed. Won’t go back.

Everything was nice but the service was pretty poor. Waiter hardly came by to ask if you needed anything. I asked for water and took five minutes to come back. Asked for more bread took at least ten minutes to come back. Server either overwhelmed with tables or just not interested

Had reservation for v day. Food took over 45 min to arrive. Food was just ok. Service was ok.

The service was certainly the best aspect of the experience. The steak was ordered Medium Well and it came out nearly raw. After we waited for the food to be brought out a second time, nearly everything was cold. We were celebrating a birthday and Valentine’s Day so we didn’t want to continue complaining. For the $300 we spend on 2 of us, I think there are better options unfortunately. Maybe it was an off night, as most reviews are excellent, but as someone that dines out nearly 7 days a week, I was unimpressed with the food.

Had reservations for 7:30 and was very pleased to be seated right away !

Valentines night out. Service amazing and food outstanding ( veal chop, Hong Kong fish) Delicious cocktails. Had to wait a bit for table but no big deal. Outside tables nicely spaced

There was 4 of us for dinner on Valentine's Day. Before I give this review I would like to say I have been there many times before and always had a great meal. However this time was different. None of us received a full meal. Missing rice, missing butter for the lobster and no dressing on the Caesar salad. The waitress was so busy she never came back to check if we were happy. The biggest thing was later that night both my wife and I took ill and spent most of the night up nursing upset stomachs. Called our friends and they had the same reaction to their meals. Chops is probably the most expensive restaurant in town and one would never expect this kind of service or out come.

I'm very disappointed. Starting with the watered down drinks up until the blan lobster and steak that was served. Food had no taste at all. It would be great if the food tasted as good as the menu looks. It stated "the rolle royce of lobster" when I could of easily compared that lobster to "the McDonald's of lobster". I've had way better food from a lower class restaurant. Not to mention, our waitress was horrible. She was so dry and didn't care much about us all night. She was not enthusiastic at all. Worse service ever!! Had a reservation for 945 and had to wait for a 15 min for a table. 1st and last time at Chops.

Drinks at the bar were good while waiting for our table. Once seated, we ordered appetizers from our waitress and then didn’t see her again for about 30 minutes. The table next to us had the same complaint.

Upon ordering a steak, the waitress strongly suggested medium rare so it doesn’t get over cooked to which I agreed. We ordered Mac and cheese also and requested that it cone our before the dinner. Dinner was later served followed by the Mac and cheese.

The mashed potatoes looked like they were sitting under a heat lamp and had a hard crust on top. Upon biting into the Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes they were both NOT HOT. At best LUKE WARM. I sent the potatoes back and asked them to heat them up. They returned 5 minutes later with the same problem.

Cutting into the steak it was RAW. I flagged down another waiter because our kept disappearing. He agreed it was raw and took it back to be cooked. He brought the steak back and again it was EXTREMELY RARE. the manager came over and apologized. She also agreed the steak was rare.

When someone sends food back to the kitchen, why isn’t the manager bringing the food out to the table to verify it’s been fixed? It was a horrible experience all the way around and definitely not worth the $$$. Go to Morton’s or Ruth Chris for great HOT food that’s worth the money!!!

For a high end restaurant, the experience was not great. Service was extremely slow. Four of us ordered steaks and by the time they were served, they were barely lukewarm. I've been to Lobster Bar in Ft. Lauderdale several times and each one was a great experience. Chops Lobster Bar in Boca can learn from their sister restaurant.

Lobster bites appetizer is amazing. Great ambiance and service, highly recommend.

We always enjoy Chops! The food is consistently well prepared, and the servers very well trained!
Salad portions could be larger, and the smallest scoops of ice cream we were ever served!
But, we will be back!

We will not return and will not recommend Chops Lobster Bar to anyone. If a restaurant is going to set you back $150/pp for dinner and drinks, they had better have outstanding food and exceptional service. We were given neither. When we arrived with reservations, the restaurant was just over half full and we were seated at a small table directly in front of the kitchen service door. We were literally the rotary in the server traffic pattern! The staff seemed inconvenienced with our request to move but we were eventually reseated. I watched, out of curiosity, the next 3 couples seated at the same 'rotary' table (with open tables all around) request to be moved. Our meal was finished before anyone asked how we were doing. Drinks were adequate, nothing special or unique. Food was just ok, Applebee’s quality, except for my veal steak which was undercooked and tasteless. Deserts were completely uninteresting. Look, Chops Lobster Bar is bad all on its own but when you compare all the excellent restaurants in Boca Raton, why would you waste your money and time eating here? COVID disclaimer: I didn’t dine here pre-Covd so cannot compare the ambiance. No excuse for the poor food and service, however.

We dined on the Saturday night before Valentines Day. We dined a little earlier than usual, 6:30, to beat the rush. Although we had reserved outdoor, we requested inside upon arrival and were given a lovely inside corner table. Our service was good; the waiter did not have much of a personality. We just weren’t made to feel very special. It was Saturday night, we we dressed up, it was date night, we were looking for a nice dining experience.

The meals were good. Salads crisp and cold. I had the 1lb lobster tail and it was perfection. My husband ordered the 2lb lobster and was disappointed that it only had one claw! Considering that is some of the best meat it was commented that the waiter didn’t catch this. Our companions had surf and turf; her steak was undercooked per the requested medium-well.

There are lots of choices for steak and lobster in Boca; this experience leaves us wondering if we will go back.
