Chops Lobster Bar Ratings and Reviews
As a native Atlantan Chops/Lobster Bar has always been a treat. This most recent visit was eagerly anticipated. We took friends and promised a treat. This visit left us very disappointed. The meal was fair and we felt like we were being herded in and out. This is not the level of service that the Buckhead Life Group usually delivers. Maybe they are changing importance from quality to quantity. We won't be back.
Had a great dinner at the Lobster Bar on a Friday night. It was excellent and I would recommend LB to anyone who wants great seafood and steaks. Great Wine List, an extensive selection of side dishes. The bread is really good too. Our server was very knowledgeable and in particular, knows the wine list. We will definitely return.
My overall experience was great! The only issue we had was several staff kept coming to talk to the couple seated next to us. The area that we were seated in wasn’t very spacious therefore it caused a traffic jam. The staff kept coming back and forth having conversations. I’m assuming they knew each other. We were bumped into a few times and they apologized but the high traffic volume on a busy night wasn’t good.
The food and our server were EXCELLENT!
Did not meet expectations in lieu of its reputation. We have enjoyed better dining at many other Atlanta establishments, especially relative to its lofty price point. Lobster was good not mind blowing. Oysters were okay but nowhere near as good as at some other places. Etc., etc. In summary it was worth half the price. Won't return.
The food was phenomenal! The lobster morsels appetizer was delicious.I brought my husband here and he was very impressed. We split the rib eye and it was charred perfectly. We will definetly go back. The environment was perfect for some one on one time together.DELICIOUS!!!
First time visit and had some Buckhead Life Gift cards to spend. This was a very pleasant expirence! Out of my budget to visit on a regular basis but will choose Chops when I have a splurge!!! Staff was wonderful and the food was amazing!!! Thank You for such a special evening from start to finish. In the rating under value I rated 5 stars because the value was in the expirence, 5 stars!!!!
Well... the food is very good of course. The noise level is too high, however. Our hearing is just fine but this is a restaurant where you have to shout to your dining partner to be heard over the din. The tiled ceiling is very nice visually but probably amplifies the sound reflection. The carpet does mitigate the noise level I suppose but not enough. Next time we come for dinner I will request a table on the upper level without the tile ceiling and see if that is any better. Also, we had a deuce table along the main path in the restaurant and there was too much traffic.
I came here for a last minute change for a friends bday dinner. I made the reservation on here and was a little late the host was still able to seat me with a wait oh only 20min or so. The ambiance was super sexy. We sat at the bar while we waited and the male bartender said he would be right with us but never came back. After the lady behind the bar saw my irritation on my face She came over and took our drink orders. Shortly after we were seated. Our server was very knowledgeable and told us about all of the specials. We opted for the tiger shrimp and lobster bisque for starters. The bday girl sent the tiger shrimp back said she didn’t really care for it but the lobster bisque was amazing. For the main course myself and the bday girl got lamb chops which were underwhelming. The flavor wasn’t good.. It was still bloody when i cut into it... The temperature was not what i asked for. The bday girl picked at hers as well. I didn’t want to send it back so i kept it and told them to box it up so i can finish cooking it at home. Needless to say it’s still in my fridge waiting to be thrown away. I did have the lobster Mac & cheese which was pretty good. My fiancé had the steak and he loved it. Over all I would give this place 3 stars. A little over priced for what I got. Also valet is $2 so be ready to have that plus a tip.
Took my mother there for her birthday. Dinner was delicious. We both had steak, corn and asparagus. They were very nice and brought her a delicious bread pudding with a candle and “Happy Birthday “ written in chocolate on the plate. My only complaint is that it was packed that night, and we had difficulty hearing each other because it was incredibly noisy. I wouldn’t recommend it for a quiet cozy dinner, but otherwise, it’s fabulous.
We love Chops for lunch and dinner. This was a lunch time meal and the restaurant was just off for some reason. My lunch was very good but my guests were all disappointed as their food was either over cooked or not warm enough. Everything came at different times like a diner which usually never happens there either. I think it is time to take a lunch break from Chops!
