Chops Lobster Bar
Once arrived, we got seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. The staff was very polite & friendly. After we ordered and our food came (which was AMAZING) some butter from my lobster spilled on me but it was no big deal. The staff went above and beyond and made sure I was okay and even gave my boyfriend & I dessert ! On them !! Amazing hospitality and amazing customer service.
Ordered same food as some Caucasian’s next to us that had been seated and ordered about 20 minutes after us. Some how they got their drinks and food before we did ??? I told the waiter and a manger came and apologized, also covering our tab....

Service was great food was amazing and we didn’t have to wait on Valentines Day!!!
Outstanding food and service
Food was great. Service was outstanding. Good spot for Valentine's Date.
GREAT Food & Service Was Also Good...A Bit Pricey, But Equivalent For Upscale Dining...Although We Enjoyed The Overall Experience...
Top-notch service!! Best lobster I’ve ever had!
It was just ok. Not nearly worth the cost. It was Valentines day and maybe that made a difference. The waiter accidently served my wife an obviously just used dirty coffee cup and quickly swapped it out when I was looking at it. He kind of made up for it with an extra generous shot of Bailys. The whole experience was lackluster, food presentation and dishes were more like a diner than a nice steak house. The prices were five star and the food was three star. I may give it a shot on a less busy night.

As always, the food and service at the Lobster Bar were superb. Surprisingly, the parking valet service was dysfunctional upon both our arrival and departure. It took significantly more time to use the service than to self-park.
I was recommended this restaurant and it was amazing!! Everything about this establishment is fantastic and top of the line! Their fried lobster tail was the most delicious lobster I have ever had! I cannot recommend it enough!
One of the most incredible places to eat in Atlanta for a special night out!
Amazing place and food! John was our server and he was amazing, along with the rest of the staff! Will
Our server John was impeccable! I am always amazed by everyone’s attention to detail and commitment to teamwork.
Was disappointed with the overall experience for what we paid. The restaurant was very noisy. We sat in a corner booth where the waiter had to speak to us standing behind my husband and not next to the table. The appetizer Lobster bites was very good but overpriced at 34. We had porterhouse for 2 that was cooked correctly. The Lobster Mac & Cheese came cold and the Apasagrus side was sparse. For $300 I would of expected a much better experience.

Used to love coming here but lately things seem off. Seared Tuna was mediocre at best and very bland and to pair this with mashed potatoes was not appealing.
Ordered a side of mushrooms and Brussels sprouts and again no flavor. Not a great night at The Lobster Bar:(

Despite having both grown up in Atlanta, my partner and I were extremely excited about going to Chops for the first time together for our Anniversary. The ambiance and food were everything we hoped and dreamed. I said multiple times that it was one of the best meals I have ever had in my entire life.
However, I was extremely disappointed in our service (or lack thereof), particularly considering the occasion. Our server came to the table several times after we were first sat to take our food order. We already had drinks with us, as we waited at the bar until our reservation at our table was ready, but we had not seen a menu yet. After he came by for the third time within a few minutes and we asked for a bit more time, he did not come back to the table again for nearly 45 minutes. It was not enough to mess up the night, but was irritating considering how hungry and thirsty we got. The food was AMAZING. I highly recommend the macaroni with added lobster, and it even warms up well for leftovers. Our dinner was so decadent that we ended up being unable to go for dessert, but considering I made a special note on the reservation that it was our anniversary, it was sort of disappointing to not have that acknowledged in any way.
We had to wait over 45 minutes for our reservation. It was extremely frustrating. We were told it would be a slight delay, but time kept creeping by. It was embarrassing because we had raced about lobster bar to our friends and felt terrible that the wait was so long.
Always incredible service and the food is always perfect.
Best restaurant in Atlanta
I went for the first time with Reservations at 9pm on a Saturday night for my Birthday. We were sat around 9:20. We had a drink while waiting upstairs at Chops. Both restaurants were very busy yet had comfortable atmospheres. My drink was made well. For dinner I had the fried lobster tail, crabcake, salmon with brussel sprouts and mushrooms. EVERY item was delectable! I'm very satisfied with the meal, drink and attentive service. I had chocolate cake for my birthday to go and it was wonderful as well later at home. We certainly will return again. This will be a favorite go-to from now on.
Unfortunately, my husband & I did not have a good experience. Our waiter was nice, but the service was underwhelming. After placing our order, we had to ask for a bread basket & then used our steak knives to butter the bread. The seafood tower for 2 was merely a single plate & the oysters were not cleaned properly. We requested a porterhouse for 2 medium that came mostly medium well, with parts well done (not due to the cut of the steak itself, but simply overcooked). Our waiter tried to improve our experience by offering to take the cocktails off the check, but for the price we paid it did not improve the experience by much. Attention to detail was certainly lacking.
Just outstanding service from John and his team
A memorable dining occasion
Chops / Chops Lobster Bar improves with age. The food was the best its been in years. The service was perfect. Both must be true because the place was packed on a Wednesday night. This may very well be the best steak place in town. We will be back much sooner than later.
Excellent as always
Based on the many trips over the last 24 years coming to Atlanta, The Lobster Bar is by far the best restaurant(presentation, taste, flavor, prep, service) in the Atlanta area in which we always return to. We love sitting at the oyster bar and watch the staff preparing their great seafood.
Thankful that they were accommodating to our change of reservation. Birthday dinner!!! Heard mixed reviews and decided to try it for myself- was not blown away but it was fair. Really enjoyed the spinach. The lobster bisqué was greasy. Seemed steady and could account for the slowness of service.
With the exception of an extremely loud and obnoxious woman behind us that had to make sure the entire restaurant heard her every word the experience and food was great. Matthew was an excellent server.
I was surprised that we were not given a free dessert or even perhaps a free meal, given that the restaurant caught on fire between the salad dish and main entree and we were evacuated...it was 30 degrees outside. Walking out calmly while the hallway filled with smoke certainly added to the ambiance, as did the fire department in full gear walking through the main dining room, but wasn’t exactly what was expected.
We choose the Lobster Bar based on the quality food but also the level of service reflected in the prices. Even if I was at McDonalds and the restaurant caught fire I would not be surprised if we were offer a complimentary Happy Meal.
Brought my sister (an Athens native) to Chops Lobster Bar to celebrate her birthday at one of my favorite, go-to celebratory spots in Atlanta. As always, the food was perfectly prepared and delivered to the table at exactly the right intervals. Staff swooped in and out to offer fresh-ground pepper, inquire about the flavor of our food and temp of our steaks, and clear plates (my biggest dining pet peeve is a crowded table 😂). Our server Steven was outstanding— he was efficient, kind, and just generally had good vibes. It was a perfect experience from the tempura-battered lobster tail to the complimentary, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate dessert.
This was my first time to the Chop"s Lobster Bar. It was fantastic. The service was great and the food was
unbelievable. I highly recommend.
Steaks we perfectly done and the apps and sides were excellent. Very knowledgeable staff.
Table wasn’t ready but overall it was a nice experience.
Son’s 21st bday
This is one of the very best restaurants in Atlanta. White table cloths and candles with excellent service and great food. Obviously the Lobster is excellent. The steaks are just as good. I tend to get a lobster and steak.
My only complaint is the lack of enforcement of the dress code. This is a fine dining restaurant with a "business casual" dress code. Yet, there are people allowed in with faded denim jeans, sneakers and tee shirts. It's a bit of an insult to everyone who takes the time and effort to dress appropriately. Management should enforce their well known and published dress code.
Biggest issue is wait time with a reservation. Reservation at 630 and sat at 7. Not that busy.
First time at Chops. Food was delicious and service was great. Atmosphere was good but a little noisy.
THE NOISE WAS SO LOUD YOU COULD NOT EVEN HEAR MY WIFE TALK. WE WANTED A QUITE RELAXING EVENING AFTER A HDR WEEK AND WHAT WE GOT WAS ONE OF THE MOST HORRIBLE
DINNER EXPERIENCES WE HAVE EVER HAD. THE TABLE NEXT TO US WAS SO LOUD THEY WERE
LIKE SCREAMING TO EACH OTHE. WE ASKED OUR SERVER KEVIN IF HE COULD HELP AND IT WAS
NOTHING HE COULD DO.

While the food this evening fully met our expectation, the service was inexcusable. I've been dining at Buckhead Life Restaurants since childhood (I'm a native Atlantan and my family regularly dined at Pano's & Paul's and then each restaurant that followed). My husband and I continue to frequently dine at various Buckhead Life restaurants...we've been to Lobster Bar countless times since its opening over 20 years ago and always experience excellent service. Complete disappointment, particularly since it is our Anniversary and we just wanted a nice evening. No one ever asked about our meal, whether we wanted another cocktail which we did and never had the opportunity to order, and receiving the check took far too long, etc. I'll continue to dine at Chops. I'm parting ways with Lobster Bar.
Great! Fried lobster was delicious.
Celebrated sorority’s Centennial.
The issue with the AC stopped me from giving all 5-stars. At times it was so hot in there I was sweating!
