Chops Lobster Bar
This restaurant is now the flagship of Buckhead Life, with outstanding food and service. Expensive, but worth it, for a very special evening.
Wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was relaxing and the food was superb!
Our waiter AJ was fantastic. Thanks for another pleasant evening.
The food and service was great. The bread was phenomenal. They are known for their fried lobster, so of course we had that. The broiled lobster tail was fantastic. Couldn't eat dessert but they all sounded good.
Our favorite restaurant in the group. Had the special salad with greens, strawberries, mandarin oranges, goat cheese and pecans. Awesome! Black Grouper and Ahi Tuna entrees were also winners. Service was pleasant and attentive.
The food was good, but the drinks were made with cheap bottle shelf alcohol, and I had a headache almost instantly.
Food was great service awesome definitely recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers
Fried Lobster tails, Crab cakes and Filet!! The waitstaff are exceptional and make your dinner a special event.
It was truly a lovely experience. Me and my lovely wife celebrated our 23 wedding anniversary with them. We enjoyed every minute we were there.
Service was wonderful- everyone from the hostess to the manager to our server to our SA’s were on point, friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable and accommodating. Crab cake and oysters were phenomenal. Caesar salad was perfect as were the anchovies ! Our filets were cooked perfectly. However to us there wasn’t much flavor. The char was nice from the broiler and the quality was certainly there... - I suppose I will go for the truffle butter or some other addition next time to kick it up a notch. All-in-all we will definitely be back to try some more things on the menu!
Great night to celebrate two birthdays.
Only down side is that noise level was very high.
Next time we will request table at the upper seating area.
Great food, service!!
We couldn't have asked for more in a server. He was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly, even though we weren't the biggest spenders.
The bread assortment (from the Atlanta Bread Co) was fantastic and worth every calorie. The salad special, which included goat cheese, pecans, and citrus vinaigrette, was refreshing and delicious. The Faroe Islands Salmon was incredibly moist and flavorful, some of the best I've ever had. The lump crab that came with it was just "ok". We would have preferred slightly quieter music to make conversation easier, but overall this was a very pleasant dining experience. We will definitely be back!
FAROE ISLANDS SALMON & COLOSSAL LUMP CRABthai flavors - sesame sushi rice cake, thai coconut lobster sauce
Very nice and upscale place. Service was good. Food was good a little pricey but we will go back.
Great food. A bit pricy and they forgot to bring our appetizers. But was worth it for a special occasion. Went for our anniversary. Husband had the special steak cooked with parmesan butter. Very good. I had the lobster and was so large i couldn't finish it. Will return
Birthday, CLB provided a delicious dessert! Thank you!
Great food and attentive service. Lovely evening all around.
Awesome 😊 first time and we enjoyed every minute of it.
My wife and I had a great meal at Chops Lobster Bar for her birthday. Everyone wished my wife a happy birthday. It was a great evening!!
Best steak in town; no contest.
I travel & do lots of dinners & steak houses. Lobster Bar is top 5 for me in the US. I always look forward to going!
I ordered the pepper filet medium rare-medium and the waiter said he knew what I wanted. When it arrived, it was medium well but I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want to wait for a new steak. Flavor was good - just overdone. Certainly not what I expected for $49!
Excellent. Fresh fish, great service. On point
great place for fine dining, ambiance, and style. this is ideal for proposals, celebrations, engagements, or any event and the energy and food is great, I highly recommend if you have never been before and once you come, you would want to return.
The serivce and food were wonderful. very noisy. we enjoyed it a lot.
We have been to the Lobster 'bar multiple times. The design of the space is great and unique. The service was excellent. But the food was just average. The French Onion Soup was salty, The special salad was not presented with any great visual appeal. The special seafood was a bit dry. The Hong Kong sea bass was great. The Lobster bisque was good but $12 for 2 bites of lobster in addition to $12 for the bisque? The bread pudding is always my favorite dessert but I don't think it was always the little muffin that you now serve it as, I thought it used to be served in a bowl and didn't seem quite so small. the banana cream pie was very good and a much more generous serving.
also the noise level makes conversation very difficult which I feel like, in a fine dining atmosphere really detracts from wanting to have future family dinners here.
So overall, spending $200 for a dinner for 3, no alcohol, makes me more critical of the overall experience and I can only conclude that it was good but certainly not great.
We came here to celebrate our first year in Atlanta and Chops Lobster Bar was our first choice on this occasion. We did love it and are making plans to be back soon!!!
Ribeye and lobster were fantastic. Lobster bisque was flavorful with a good consistency. The Caesar’s salad was disappointing though, not much to it and rather bland. The banana cream pie dessert was awesome. Service was pleasant and prompt with 2 servers. Decor is dark wood classic. It is pricey but I am looking forward to my next visit there.
Great fine dining for a date night or celebration. Definitively a place worth taking your time in and enjoying.
The food was delicious!! It was made with love. I felt as if my money was well spent.
The food and service were great! The restaurant was crowded and tables very close together. Also it was extremely loud and hard to hear in the restaurant. If not for this it would have been a super great experience
Chops lobster bar is one of the finest restaurants in Atlanta. First, not many people know this, but it's the same menu as Chops steakhouse. The only difference is the actual bar downstairs at the Lobster bar. Otherwise, they're the only restaurant in Atlanta with A5 Japanese Wagyu beef steak, which is like butter. Also, I thought it was nice that we were able to choose the size of the steamed lobster between two and five pounds, which is market price. We had two servers, which was nice because they were always attentive as a team. Matthew was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. You can tell that the servers and everyone really cares about fine dining. Last, they have a 100 for their health score.
We were placed down in the lobster bar, which I was not made aware of when booking the reservation. We were placed in the corner near a private room with people going in and out so we asked to be moved. We were moved to a different table, which was fine. Once it was time to order, I asked about Gluten Free options and I was told there was no separate menu. I asked about the chicken and was told it was not Gluten Free, but no other alternatives were given. We decided to leave at that point since there appeared to be few options beyond salad.
Alysa was an amazing and attentive server.
Always a great people watching restaurant to go to. Love their food, drinks and service!
Dinner room - Great meal, and service, as always! One of the best steaks I have ever had and matched wonderfully with lobster. Mr. Fise is an great institution in his own at the bar - Always love to sit-down and have a conversation with him.
On August 23th, my husband and I dined at Chops & Lobster Bar for the first time. Impressive customer service from the Hostess and the Server Team of John and Eddie. Well-informed. Helpful. Friendly. Attentive. They made the dining experience perfect.
Recommendations: Appetizer? Calamari. Entree? Filet and the Surf Tail. We were guarded about a fried Surf Tail, but, we trusted John. He was right, and it was delicious! Dessert? Banana Pie. If you are so inclined, my husband enjoyed the Chops Martini, and I enjoyed the Veuve Clicquot champagne.
Highly recommend Chops & Lobster Bar. It offers everything that is important for enjoyable fine dining, impressive service, delicious, flavorful food, and attractive decor.
Great You don’t have to go to the beach to get some good seafood
Outstanding service. We were seated in a part of the restaurant that backs up to a cigar lounge and we could smell it. Our waiter overheard our dismayed comment and he promptly moved us to a different part of the restaurant that was odor-free. Saved our evening out!
Excellent food. We would go more often if it would be more affordable
Great waiter, amazing food as always - just totally fun!
