Chops Lobster Bar
Great waiter, amazing food as always - just totally fun!
This was a wonderful meal. It is worth the price. The good melts in your mouth and the service is the best around..
If you want a quiet environment, this is not the place for you with the hard tile ceiling and hard walls which magnify the sound. At times, it was difficult carrying on a conversation across the table. However, the menu is the same as upstairs, the service is the same, and the quality is an exact mirror image of the experience upstairs. We arrived early for our reservation on a busy Friday night and we were able to be seated in quick order which was an unexpected treat. Save room for the banana crème pie as the best way to finish your experience.
My wife always love her lobster mac & cheese . Our two servers were totally awesome and super attentive .
Took my sister and my niece here for their birthday dinners. It’s my sister’s favorite place. We had a wonderful dinner (fried lobster!), truffle fries, creamed spinach and wine - all delicious. The service was very good and of course, you can’t beat the ambiance.
Always a treat to eat at lobster bar. The food, service, everything is top notch and first class! Can’t wait to go back!
My wife’s birthday. It was nice.
Great evening of dinner. We got there early (light traffic?) & and enjoyed drinks at the upstairs bar waiting for Chops Lobster Bar to open. Very comfortable bar scene up there. Got a text our table was ready and headed downstairs. AJ was our waiter - he did an excellent job with great service and advice. Lots of things on the menu, along with the specials. We were in a beef mood that night. My wife and I split AJ's recommended crab cake app - outstanding! We also split the wedge salad - they are big & delicious with cold plates! For our entree we decided to have the Porterhouse steak for 2 with mushrooms. Done to perfection for us. We passed on desert - too full at that point. Maybe we will start with desert the next time when we come in September.
While it was an expensive night out, it was an outstanding meal. More than a regular steak and sea food restaurant, Chops Lobster Bar makes the entire event special. Our waiter AJ was charming as well as attentive and knowledgeable. The interior was moody but not too loud and not too dark. The tempura fried lobster tail was delicious and memorable. I look forward to celebrating milestones at Chops Lobster Bar in the future.
Very nice experience. Not the best steakhouse but good.
Great food and great service.
Great place. Always a good meal. Fairly loud at times but expected since it is in a basement. Great staff that are helpful and go above and beyond with their service.
Way too pricey. good service but we will not return.
Fabulous service and a delicious meal.
The meal was wonderful as always
cool place, but the price point is very high and the food just didn't justify the cost. Also, I made the mistake of getting my lobster flash fried per the recommendation of the restaurant. I felt it ruined a beautiful piece of lobster and was a bit "Long John Silverish" for my taste. The Optimist has far better seafood and KR Steak is far better for meat. Ambience is old school Buckhead, which I dig. But now that we have Little Alley Steak and others, you can get a vibrant Buckhead vibe at other places for less money.
If I could eat lamb chops everyday, I’d be dining at Chops Lobster Bar everyday. That, along with the Caesar salad with anchovies, is my favorite meal. Tonight, we shared the lyonnaise potatoes and they were delicious. The meal was capped with creme brûlée for dessert. I asked John, our server, if the restaurant offered wheel barrow service! In addition to offering to help “carry us out,” he and his serving partner provided us with outstanding service. While I’ve visited Chops Lobster Bar before, I believe this was my favorite outing at this restaurant. The friendly smiles from the hostesses upon entering and leaving helped in making us feel special. Kudos to the restaurant staff!
Great food and service.
A really great Service Team! We were seated promptly and greeted by our Waiter upon being seated. Offered a white napkin instead of the black one as I had on white pants---berry appreciated. Everything we ordered was creative and flavorful.
Festus and his assistant took great care of us at the bar. It is favorite place to sit in the Lobster Bar.
The bussers were very slow to remove dirty plates and glassware preparing for the next course. Our server didn’t help things along by picking them up himself, which gave me the impression he felt it wasn’t his job. Food was great, server knowledgeable but overall not the Wow I wanted for my business client.
3 of us were celebrating a birthday The service and the food were outstanding and out of all restaurants in the Buckhead Life Group this is my favorite. The restaurant was totally full and the noise level was frightening. This was the only negative of the evening.
Superb service with excellent food. The 20 oz. ribeye is amazing!
My friend's Dover sole was excellent.
$64 for the lobster tail was way overpriced.
Our server Brittany was amazing, she even wrapped up our bone for a dog lol. She make sure that the chief knew we had food allergies. Our crab cakes were simply amazing. My husband enjoyed it so much.
The Lobster Bar at Chops did not disappoint. Wonderful, as always! The waiter and his table staff were outstanding, making sure our brother had a very special birthday! Thanks for always being constantly delicious!😄😄
We asked for water. After waiting 10 minutes, we got it upon second request.
Wait staff brought an appetizer to our table that was not ours.
The lobster was very good, but some parts were tough.
The fish fish was prepared well and tasted great, but it was tough and not flaky .. as expected.
The desert was not as good as I have had at other, lower priced restaurants.
We had a great evening celebrating my wife’s birthday. The food as always was excellent and the staff was amazing. friendly very professional and knew the menu we will definitely go back!
We are frequent guests here The service and the food are consistent and unbeatable. Shout out to Kevin, a great manager and of course, a round table!!
Great service and high quality food!
Chops Lobster Bar is a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. I ordered the special entree of pork belly with balsamic reduction. Unfortunately, I had to send it back as it way overdone, very difficult to eat and I finally gave up. I love pork belly and know how delicious it is. I gave my friend a small piece and she said the same, so when another portion (what I sent back they replaced) came out, it was better. The reduction along the edge of a piece was very nice, but the meat itself was tough and hard.
I have eaten previously at upstairs and downstairs and have loved both, but this visit was not, I think, up to Chops standard. The rest of the food was OK. Service is always excellent.
Chops never disappoints. Nice table, great atmosphere, superb service, excellent menu, and the meal was delicious.
The steak for two was very good but had a lot of Gristle
The name Chops / Lobster Bar” can be confusing since it’s actually two different colocated restaurants under common management. We went to the check in desk for “Chops” by mistake instead of “Lobster Bar”. The young ladies at the check I desk were pretty snippy to tell us that we were in the wrong place.
When we arrived downstairs at Lobster Bar for a 5:30 reservation there were no servers available to seat us.
Both of the above are very atypical for this restaurant chain.
Once seated our meal was excellent and so was the service.
The food is outstanding and they charge a high price but I believe they serve excellent food with excellent service.
Very attentive service!!
Very fine dining experience. Recommend go if you're in the A!
Excellent porterhouse steak, my son’s new favorite. The fried lobster was perfect. Superlative meal.
Food as always was absolutly perfect. The pre dinner old fashioned was one of the best i ever had. The architecture of the the lobster bar was something to see also!
