Excellent atmosphere, food and service
GREAT experience at Chops! Service was very good (Alberto and JC) and food was delicious. We had a 3.5lb lobster, truffle fries , regular hand cut fries, pepper steak and salads. Definitely one of the best meals we have enjoyed in a while and we dine out often. We will be back soon.
I chose this restaurant for my birthday because it has always been my favorite. My Daughter I has Celiac disease. Spoke to manager before. They assured meal would be safe for her. Server also assured us. She still did get sick. My mom loved her pork chop. Sea bass was pretty good but was not as good as it has been in the past. We ordered the famous chopped salad and there was no flavor, I guess it didn't have enough dressing on it. Just tasted like dry chopped up veggies/salad. Then The guys that served the meals mixed up all the plates. No one knew who's meal was who's and we were told to cut into the steaks to see who's was who's. The music was blaring and had to ask them to turn it down. Not the same experience we have ever had before. Disappointed.
Always fun. Seems we have the same waiter every time. Food was tremendous everyone enjoyed!
I was very surprised that no attention seemed to be paid to the food presentation. The steak seemed lonely on that bare plate. Even a sprig of parsley would have helped.
I regret that I do not have the names of the two young gentlemen who waited on us, because they were outstanding.
Of course you have no control over the diners' dress, but next time I guess I'll wear jeans.
Great food, service and ambiance. Some of the sides and appetizers are perennial favorites. The lobster bites, sweet chili calamari. I always enjoy their lobster mac and cheese & the mushrooms Brussels sprouts combo. The steaks were cooked to perfection and their are some hidden gems on the wine list :)
Food and service as always is excellent. Top steaks and lobster in the city. Cocktails were delightful and excellent wine selection.
Chops has it all! Great seafood and steaks and of course shareable side dishes. If you want to see sports celebrities more than likely this will be the spot! See and be seen at Chops!
We recently celebrated our anniversary at Chops. My husband had been before but it was my first time. Great experience. The service was attentive but not hovering. The server (Giuseppe) did an excellent job recommending wines. We started with the shrimp appetizer which I really enjoyed. My husband ordered the A5 Wagyu (amazing) and I had the special KC bone in steak accompanied by the lobster tail. For sides we chose the garlic potatoes, broccolini, & green beans. Ended the meal sharing a delicious piece of cheesecake.
Next time we have a special occasion to celebrate we will be back!
We came to Chops for a celebration. It was very nice inside and the service was amazing. You never had to ask for anything. Our server made a mix up with our sauces, but he noticed right away and fixed it very quickly and even gave us a free dessert for it. It is very pricey. Not exactly a place you can go to all the time unless you have money, but the food is worth it. I definitely recommend this for a special date or occasion. I am sure I will be back in the future.
GREAT TIME GREAT FOOD GREAT SERVICE.... WE ALWAYS LOVE COMING TO CHOPS. OUSTANDING LOCATION.
Always a favorite date night spot for us. Good and service always wonderful.
Upscale dining, excellent food and service. I Highly recommend this restaurant.
We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The food was delicious. And even though we were celebrating our anniversary at lunchtime, they still made us feel special
One ofThe best steak houses in the country! Hands-down
Best business lunch place in Atlanta! Must do it this way.
Wonderful dinner. First class all the way.Absolutely fine dinning. The seafood tower was amazing and the filets were perfect!
Our waiter Doug was fun, my daughter enjoyed watching him spin quickly when he left the table. Enjoyed the 8 Oz filet and had the fried lobster tail as an apetizer.
Everything was great with the exception of the 3 gentlemen sitting next to my wife and I. They could not speak softly because of what appeared to be inebriation. Every other word was profanity and they seemed to not care that my wife and I were celebrating our 24 year anniversary. They spoke loud and clear to ensure that we heard them. It almost appeared that they wanted to see if they could get a reaction out of us. I would certainly revisit the restaurant but if those 3 lawyers are present I would simply choose another place to dine. Thank you for your hospitality.
Always high level of service and execution here. Now that I've eaten downstairs at Chops Lobster Bar, and upstairs at Chops, I think I like Chops better since it's just a bit more quiet. But a little less buzzy feeling. If you're looking for cool, downstairs, if you're looking for more intimate, upstairs. The East Meets West oysters are always really large, some of my favorite oysters I've ever had. Tried the escargot this time, the 6 pieces are in individual crocks, which makes them a little hard to eat. Other places serve them in a plate with wells in it, which you can eat without having to touch. I prefer that method of presentation, but the end result is tasty. You just have to grip the crock. The steamed lobsters are huge and beautiful, and the server will remove from the shell for you. Plentiful bread basket. Lots of wines at different price points. The bread pudding dessert isn't so great, but everything else I've had here was top notch. Great for business, but also for a date. I do wish that the appetizer lobster tail was steamed not fried. Can't wait to come back!
I love Chops! It is a splurge for sure but worth it. The steaks we had on Saturday night were phenomenal. We got 3 different bone in cuts (filet, ribeye, NY Strip) and each one was amazing. Cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The appetizers and salads didn't disappoint. A very rewarding dining experience.
Steaks and truffle fries were amazing! Tots had no flavor, Brussel sprouts were under cooked with no flavor and the Mac was just ok. If was extremely loud to the point were you had trouble hearing the person across the table. Wouldn’t eat here again but it was ok for a 1 timer.
Service was rushed
Food was amazing!
Horrible experience. Restaurant was noisy, waitstaff inattentive, food was highly mediocre for the price. It was a birthday celebration of which the restaurant had been notified: birthday person was wished happy birthday but this high end, expensive restaurant didn't even offer him a birthday dessert not even a brownie with a scoop of ice cream and a candle! This lack of caring behavior was typical of the evening. Wine or drinks were offered before the meal and not again until the meal was almost over -unable to find waiter to order a glass of wine with meal. Didn't get wine until meal almost finished. Porterhouse was good, creamed spinach not eatable, onion rings ok. A very disappointing experience for which we paid a considerable amount of money.
We have dined at Chops and Chops Lobster Bar (downstairs from Chops, same menu) several times. The food and service are consistently good, and these are nice special occasion restaurants. However, they have raised their prices yet again, and they were already quite overpriced. Even though we can afford to treat ourselves to a great dinner once in a while, there are less expensive options in Atlanta that are equal in food and service, and spending nearly $200 on dinner (with tax and tip) is not necessary. I do not think we will return unless they have a very special offer we cannot pass up.
Chopped salad was cool, crisp and clean. Strip cooked perfectly, and tasted as good as it looked.wife had the seafood trio and enjoyed every morsel. The whipped potato side was a little too airy and wet, as I relearn periodically. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. One of our favorite Buckhead restaurants.
Our food was good. Veges were disappointing. Nothing special and on the cold side when served. Crabcake was amazing, the best I ever had. The salmon and lobster that came with it were just average. Prices were a little on the high side compared to other restaurants of the same caliber. The other three people in our group got steak and loved it. Our desserts were very good. My Creme burlee was very good but plain. No fruit or decorative extras. That was surprising.
The food is always good but very overpriced. You can definitely tell that they prefer to cater to people who will spend a fortune for dinner
Most buttery soft steak I can remember in a long time.
7:30 Wednesday evening reservation for five. They or OT called and confirmed reservation earlier that day - which I appreciated, so no surprises. Table was ready when we arrived. All the food was very good. Service was very good as well. Chops has energy combined with a rich ambiance ( we sat upstairs).
"I'll be back"
Wanted a memorable dining experience for our family of five to celebrate our son's 21st birthday, Chops (and our serving team lead by Terry) delivered!
The wagyu Kobe steak was ok. I would give it a 6/10. Didn’t blow my socks off. Potatoes were good. Good wine selection. I wouldn’t spend the money again to go here.
Great food. Great service.
I've been going to Chops for approx. 30 years, the food and service are always outstanding and despite the high prices, the meal and overall experience are well worth it for a special occasion or if you just feel like splurging. They say if you buy the best you'll never be disappointed with it, that applies to Chops.
The food and service were awesome as usual. We love chops!!!
our service was impeccapble, food delicious!!!!!! The wait staff made sure to wish me a Happy Birthday. Our meals were the perfect temperature and wine selscton good. Thank you for a great meal.
