Food is outstanding! Will continue to dine there when in the Boston area.
My wife and I eat breakfast at Chopps quite often because of the relaxed atmosphere, good food, Starbucks coffee, and excellent servers, and when we have dinner there we're never disappointed - this isn't generic hotel food, it's really first rate. The extra thick bacon appetizer has a maple glaze and was a perfect start to the meal. My bolognese was outstanding and my wife's short ribs were excellent, and the portions large enough that we took home enough for a second dinner that weekend. The wine list has a lot of good choices without being extravagant. I'd highly recommend Chopps to anyone looking for a great dinner at reasonable prices.
We have dined at the restaurant several times and it was a wonderful experience. Last night was awful! The server was obnoxious and continued to engage in poor humor and attempting to be part of our conversation. He went as far as sharing his personal medical issues and the pt group he goes to.
We have had both the starters and entrees before and the were delicious. Last night both starters were salty and the polenta was soggy, not crispy. The mushrooms were also requested to be on the side and this did not happen. The steak was over cooked and one of the accompaniments was missing and had to be retrieved. The accompaniments of the other entree were cold. The protein was left for me on the bread plate and entree plate with the cold sides taken away by a different server. New over cooked sides were delivered after I was finished with the entree. Dessert was delivered without us ordering it as we preferred to take it to go. I am also lactose intolerant and not able to eat ice cream. Dessert was delivered to the table with ice cream on the upside down cake. Needless to say, I couldn’t eat it. I brought it home to my child. Upon looking at the menu to see what the dessert was supposed to be, my spouse noted it was supposed to be served with gelato. It definitely was not gelato.
Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Had a wonderful dinner at Chopps with my husband. We sat outside on the deck and it was beautiful out there! Food was delicious and the dessert so tasty!!
The staff was very accommodating and were very friendly and hospitable. The outdoor patio is amazing. Great way to spend the evening.
A hidden gem! We came here on a gift certificate for an overnight stay at the Marriott in Burlington with dinner for two at Chopps. We were thoroughly impressed with the service and the quality of the food. Crab cakes were exceptional - made entirely of fresh crabmeat and perfectly baked. Steaks were delicious with the butter mix, so good that I didn’t really need to use the accompanying steak sauces. We definitely plan on returning, especially for those crab cakes!
My family and I eat at the restaurant several times a year, and it's usually a good value compared to "higher end" steakhouses like Capital Grille, Abe but our most recent experience was relatively poor. Despite the restaurant and lounge being not very busy on a Thursday night at 6PM, service was slow and "quirky" with odd comments about a former employer and "Rich Man's disease." The Veal Porterhouse Chop was thin, overcooked (I ordered medium rare and got medium well), and dry. The Petite Filet my son ordered medium rare was past medium. If the service hadn't been slow slow and strange, I might have called attention to the food problems with the waiter, but by this time I was just looking forward to getting the check and getting out, and even that took longer than it should have.
I’ve always looked forward to dining at Chopps. I was very disappointed this time. My steak was overdone, and it took 20 minutes to get another one. Our waitress very nicely offer me a salad while I waited. Then, I had to wait 10-15 minutes for a glass of wine while steak got cold. They are clearly understaffed. There weren’t many people dining there, yet there were long waits. And the prices have increased. Sad to say, I’m not sure I’ll go back.
Dinner with friends. Good food, service was fine. A little pricey for a suburban restaurant in a hotel lobby.
Open Table reservation for 11:30am on Mother’s day, except Chopp closed @ 11:30am.Diappointing.
Wonderful experience. Server was outstanding and attentive.
Good food, prepared for my guest who has special restrictions. Table next to us had a large party seated after us who were a bit loud which was beyond the control of the hostess. Overall, very good.
Incredibly delicious food. Superior service and a lovely quiet setting.
Good concept. Good atmosphere. Surprisingly good food with great service.
Service wasn’t great. Food was ok. I liked the setting but I don’t know that I’ll go back.
Great meal later on a Sunday night. The bacon appetizer is a must.
For a Hotel location the food was surprisingly good. We had the steak. Great quality and cooked perfect. For appetizers we had the Crab Cakes and Shrimp Cocktail. There was a function in the hotel. Lots of kids. We asked for a quiet table which they accommodated. 20 minutes laters, they filled a table next to us with about 12-15 kids. They were well behaved but loud. We didn’t say anything and assumed they would move our table to a more quite table considering we were having a $300 meal. They did not. However, to our surprise, they compted our appetizers for the inconvenience without being asked. That made up for the noise. The waitress was great. Overall, we will go back - when there is not a function......
pleased with the menu not just steak. I had the fish and it was delicious. The room was nice. Our server was attentive. Everything was great. I would come back
First visit, for Dine Out Week, and husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how great everything was. At first restaurant seems very small but it twists and turns and is actually quite large. Bar area was lively. We chose our meals from the Dine Out menu, but saw many items on their regular menu that looked interesting. There were three choices for the first course, I had the butternut squash soup and my husband the crispy polenta. Both were delicious, but I would highly recommend the crispy polenta. Second course offered four choices, I had the flat iron steak with mashed and asparagus and my husband had the cod, both very good, and I took home some of my steak and have enough for two lunches. Dessert course offered two choices, and I had the trio of sorbets and my husband the tiramisu. The only negative was that they ran out of the peach sorbet so I was given two portions of strawberry and one of the lemon. If I was told this, I would have changed my order to the tiramisu. Our server was knowledgable and pleasant. Service was timely. Definitely will return.
Great food and great service. Highly recommend the restaurant.
Good experience at Chopps American Bar and Grill at the Marriott Boston Burlington. Nice selection of food and drinks!
Food was not worth the cost. They did not recognize my wife’s birthday even though I confirmed it with the hostess before we were seated. Maybe just a bad night for them.
On positive side chef comped one meal because steak was under cooked and they did provide complimentary desserts.
The dining area is more open space than we expected. We were thinking in would be a more intimate setting. The lighting could have been more subdued in this style of dining. Michael, our waiter was prompt on service, personable and was helpful on Dining selections. His suggestion of their bone in ribeye was spot on. My lady had fillet with lobster tail. Hers and my ribeye were done to perfection of medium. Both melted in our mouth they were so, tender. Both selections gave a choice of any sauce accompiment. My lady chose the house which she felt was a little on the bar B Que flavor it was good but, not what she was looking for, I stayed with he Horseradish, well made and just the right amount of bite. The suggested appetizer Crab cakes were of incredible quality filled with crab meat. They flaked apart showing that they were restaurant made by the chef. To finish off he strongly recommended the Blueberry bread pudding with ice cream which we shared. Again he was spot on. The assistants came by to clear the finished plates so, not to leave the table crowded. The water glasses were attended to perfectly, as I did not request a beverage. I was pleased to see that, after we finished our appetizer, the forks/knives were replaced with new utensils. The knives were replaced with steak knives. The attention to detail was impeccable. We would recommend dining here and to request Michael as he was conversive and truly enjoyed working WITH us in our selections.
The food was average and over-priced for what you got, even though we ate the Dine Out Boston menu. The cocktails were small and also overpriced. It was nice that they had a live singer, who was pretty good, and made our evening more enjoyable.
Our hostess was fantastic!! :):):) made a special evening even more so!
The food was AMAZING! After dinner we then sat in front of the fireplace and enjoyed some cocktails. Noise level was low and we could have great conversation without shouting!
Little slow and loud but food is good and seating is comfortable
Good meal, just nothing memorable. Considering the number of choices in Burlington at the same price point, and with similar menus, probably wouldn’t be at the top of the list to dine at again.
Wedge salad - fresh and tasty. A lot of dressing
Clam chowder - average
Crab cakes - average
Filet - well cooked. Butter was very nice addition
Truffle fries - soft, needed to be crispier
Adult Sundae - brownie, ice cream, and bacon. Not bad!
I loved my meal! I had the special- braised short rib mushroom ravioli. So delicious!
Excellent service. My boyfriends steak was cooked wrong and they took it off the bill and gave free dessert.
Food is good and atmosphere is also good. Price is high but worth it
Great place, just noise level is really bad. Very very noisy and had to be moved due to rowdy children running around.
Thanks for another great meal with excellent service
Very good quality steaks and service was great.
We made the reservation through Open Table and checked in stating we had a reservation but because they weren’t busy they sat us right away but failed to record that we had the reservation. The food was very good but service was a little slow. It was a very comfortable restaurant with nice decor. We will come back again
Delicious meal ! Everything was amazing! We both got the filet mignon with bearnarise sauce....cooked to perfection melt in your Mouth! He got the broiled lobster tail as well yum! The mashed potatoes very good, we also got a side of Mac & cheese, so so good. HAD to get desert even though we were full & so glad we did Blueberry Bread pudding to die for! He got the cheesecake. Fabulous Expresso Martini great experience! I can't wait to go back!
Sat at the bar. Bartender excellent. Bar menu super.
It was a really nice dinner in a very relaxing setting. Everyone liked their meal. The service was slow but friendly and didn’t detract too much from our experience. We’ll go back.
Food and service was Amazing! Will go again! The short rib was excellent and skirt steak was great and talk about the seared scallops.....mmmmm.
