Outstanding dinner! THE BEST dinner we’ve had in New Orleans. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant!
We choose outdoor sitting. The fall breeze was perfect but there was also tall lateens to keep warm. Red fish amdine and steak was excellent
Make reservations ahead of time. The valet parking was excellent upon arrival & the hostess greeted us & waited 2 minutes. Our waiter was superb & food was delicious with great appetizers. Definitely recommend anyone who wants good quality food & atmosphere to visit here.
The experience was amazing! The staff was very helpful knowledgeable about the food items and very attentive to my friends and I. The food was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed every bite. I can't wait to visit this location again!
We sat at a high top table in the bar area. Great experience with piano player a few feet away. Service was quick. Great experience overall.
Always a favorite stop in NOLA! Thank you!
We went there for our anniversary. The food and service were excellent!
One of our favorite restaurants. While all of the food is outstanding, we love their onion rings and the seafood platter with batter fried lobster. After that, there is no need for an entree. Everything with this platter is delicious. They have a wonderful wine selection to accompany the meal. Our server was just excellent and very enjoyable. It is a pricey place to go to but it is well worth it for a treat. And, they have valet parking!
The food was excellent and the service was wonderful
Everything was excellent. Can’t wait until my next visit.
Our server Brandon was engaging, funny, knowledgeable and an absolute joy. We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and Chophouse and their staff gave a truly memorable experience. The food was absolutely amazing.
No masks required for entry.
No vaccine card required for entry.
We were somewhat surprised. Everyplace, as in everyplace else in N.O., required both for entry.
Not sure why, but was told that they didn’t want to inconvenience their customers…..but the staff was masked up for their safety (the staffs).
Makes sense to me.
Food was good. Chris, our waiter, was the best.
But we probably won’t be going back.
We were very pleased with the restaurant service and the food was impeccable. Would highly recommend the filet and sea bass entrees. Superb!
One of the best steaks I’ve had. Perfectly cooked and juicy throughout. Baked potato melts in your mouth.
Fantastic experience all around!!!
It was a great experience. Great food, phenomenal service, great ambiance and live music on a Friday night. Highly recommended.
We came to Chop House to celebrate our anniversary and everything was amazing. The food, the service, the ambience, everything about our experience was outstanding. We will definitely be back soon!
Never disappoints but we were seated at the table by the door leading out to the patio. Next time will request to not be seated there. Too much traffic when trying to enjoy a great meal.
The atmosphere was wonderful. The service and staff were top notch! We will definitely be back!
Easy to setup and reserve. Got a drink at bar. Steaks were perfectly spiced and cooked.
Dinner was amazing and service was excellent. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The key lime pie is fantastic. I would highly recommend.
The service saw very friendly. Really enjoyed our experience.
The food and drinks were amazing! The live music was also a plus. Get the gigantic chocolate cake OMG!!!!
Nice courtyard setting! Redfish Almondine up there with the best I’ve had. Loaded baked potato huge and good!
8oz filet was more like 6oz but had good flavor. Food was great and key lime pie was best in NOLA…….but dining outdoors next to the screen put up to shield you from where the waitstaff and kitchen apparently take their smoke breaks was NOT cool. We were pretty much sitting in the equivalent of a smoking section all night. Won’t make that mistake again of sitting outside.
The best Restaurant experience ever the waiter was very welcoming made my guest and I feel comfortable from the moment I was seated
First visit. Enjoyed the experience.
Food was very good. Ambiance and service were excellent. Had the seafood combo appetizer for 4 which included shrimp, Demi soup, two lobster tails among other items. $90 for four but very good and worth it.
Steaks are very expensive given the run up in quality beef prices but good quality as you would expect.
Price point is high $150/head for drinks, appetizers, 3 steaks and one redfish, four sides.
But enjoyable dinner, much more so than say a Ruth Chris
Added benefit was live entertainment which we enjoyed but some folks maybe not.
Professional a real treat
The food was delicious; best fried lobster ever and Brandon, our server, provided impeccable service. He should consider opening his own school to teach others the art of providing excellent service which should be the standard at all fine dining restaurants. You don't mind spending this type of money when the food and service are exceptional!
It was my husband's birthday (Jim), and I wanted to take him someplace nice. We arrived early and the table was not ready, which was expected. So, we stepped out to have a drink at a corner bar because the restaurant bar had zero seating. At our expected time we returned to the restaurant no table was available. At this time, we left our cell number and returned to the corner bar. At 20 minutes past our reservation time the host called to offer a table in the alley; it was described in a way to indicate it was makeshift, which indicates sloppy, out-of-the-way, and forgotten--and who knows what else. We returned to the restaurant and were able to sit at the bar. We waited for news of our table (this was now past 10:00 p.m.); the bartender was cold and we were left feeling abandoned. Finally, at 10:20 we were told a table was available; however, the kitchen closes at 10 p.m; At this point, we gave up and decided to leave. We were given new reservations for the upcoming Monday and promised some repartition for our disappointing evening. By the time Monday came, we simply didn't want to deal with this restaurant. Thanks for a disappointing evening; we know you wanted to make it up to us--but it was too little too late.
Overall it was just okay. Nothing more, nothing less. The drinks were way too strong. I know some people like that, but it was not enjoyable at all. I could have just ordered my liquor on the rocks and it would have tasted the same. The bread was extremely flaky and the butter was rock hard and cold. The steak was average, wasn’t great. I felt like I could have cooked it myself. We got asparagus and steak fries for our side. The asparagus was bland and not seasoned. They give you hollandaise sauce for it but didn’t have any flavor to it. The steak fries were good. Lastly, we got the cheesecake, that was delicious. We were there for my boyfriends birthday (and I indicated that on my reservation). All we got was a “happy birthday” from our server when he greeted us. No birthday dessert or anything to make it special.
Overall, our experience was not memorable whatsoever. It was just okay.
The Chop House was outstanding. The food was very good and the service was even better. It’s pricey but worth every penny, given the quality of the food and service. The entire wait staff was very attentive and professional!
We visited chophouse for a 30th birthday dinner and a secret gender reveal. The staff was amazing and very helpful with the surprises for the birthday girl. Especially our waitress whose name escapes me at the moment but she was wonderful. Also major props to the manager Claude for helping out with preparation of everything. Will be sure to come back again!
No one enjoyed the food - truly lacked flavor.
Excellent EVERYTHING as usual.
My daughter really enjoyed her birthday experience.
