   We were seated right away. Our waiter, Chris, was so great and attentive. However, the second waiter who delivered 2 of our dishes did not warn us of the temperature of our plate, which caused us to burn our fingers pretty good. I had the thick bacon and the bisque. The bacon, which was ok but. Some parts were really tough. The bisque was simply delicious. My friends both had the steak which they enjoyed. Oh, and Chris had got me some kind of pink martini, which was soooo yummy. I also had the red snapper with crabmeat. The snapper was decent, however, when I got to half of it, it started to taste dry and bland. It didn't have much flavor. Although the texture and freshness were terrific together with the almonds.

    All in all, a great experience with great food and ambience. There was a challenge with regard to getting seated at our reservation time. My party ended up being seated, roughly 30 minutes later than anticipated. Otherwise, great experience.

    If you and your dining partner don't both like "doneness" in your steaks, do not order the Porterhouse for Two. We asked for medium rare and got rare. I was fine with it, but my hubby wasn't. He also felt the steak was also tough compared to similar cuts we'd ordered in the past. To their credit, the staff did cook his portions to medium well and treated us to dessert. We would eat there again but would order different cuts cooked medium and medium rare, respectively.

    We had a superb waitress with a wonderful sense of humor. She listened to what we wanted and was very attentive. Great place to visit we sat outside so it was nice and quiet. Inside was fairly full with live music going.

    A friend wanted to celebrate his birthday at a steakhouse and we decided on Chophouse. It was both of our first visit but it won't be the last. Our server was attentive, without being over bearing and very friendly. The food was fabulous! The baked shrimp appetizer was delicious! We literally use the bread to sop up the garlic butter from the plate. He had the filet and I had the redfish with crabmeat. Both were divine. The fish was flavorful and the crabmeat was plentiful. He enjoyed his hash brown side and I enjoyed the creamed spinach. The Caesar salad was the only disappointment. It was really wet and nothing special. We ended the meal with the chocolate cake and it was YUMMY!! There was enough for 4 people so he was able to take some home to enjoy later. I would definitely recommend Chophouse to anyone who is interested in a great steak dinner in a lovely restaurant.

    Bus boy cleared our plates before we were finished. Waiter put extra charges on our bill worth over $175. Whether or not it was a mistake I really do not know, but when he was told about it he did not even ask which items, he just said oh ok and adjusted the bill. A little shady if you ask me.

    The Chophouse NOLA is a good restaurant overall. Their steaks are perfectly cooked but you will pay too dollar for that quality. To give you an idea, a 12 ounce fillet is about $75 which seems a little steep…but it is a steakhouse so never go to a steakhouse if you are looking for a deal. My one complaint was that our table wasn’t ready and had to wait an additional fifteen minutes. Funny because I had called to request my reservation be moved fifteen minutes and I was told “no” only to have to hurry up and wait for the fifteen mins I had initially requested. I was recommended to wait at the bar while my high top be cleaned… there were no high tops being cleaned when I walked in.. yes, I looked. We eventually got a table in the main dining room ( low top) no where near the live entertainment.. which is why I requested a high top on OpenTable. At that point, I just took my seat and ordered my meal. So yeah a little irritating. If these little mishaps don’t bother you, then do visit the Chophouse. Food is always good.

    Myself and my wife had a great experience! The only thing that we would have liked as a menu option would have been mashed potatoes/garlic mashed potatoes. The loaded potato absolutely hit the spot tho! Thanks for the overall great experience!

    Service, food, ambiance all excellent. Beautiful dining room with exposed brick. Steak cooked to perfection. Crab bisque delicious. Nice wine list. Huge slice of chocolate cake for dessert to share. Highly recommend. A must try for steak house lovers.
