Our dining experience was excellent - great service and well prepared food. I would recommend this dining experience for special occasions and business meals. The overall experience was wonderful, but just more expensive than what I would normally spend on a daily basis.

Always quality food and service but don't go there if you don't like the smell of smoke. The adjoining bar to the dining room allows smoking.

The food was good but it’s the first smokey restaurant I have been in (in the US) in a long time.

Extremely overpriced. Service was fine. Steak was tuff and grisly. Mushroom side was undercooked. I ordered a glass of wine that was $25.00, I could buy in an entire bottle of the same any day for the same price. The salad was good. We won’t be back. Much better food and much less expensive nearby.

It was more expensive than it needed to be. There was smoking in the restaurant and was fairly loud. Great food and service though.

Love this place! The food and service never disappoint!

This month we went on a Monday, which turned out to be very busy with business groups. The conversations were such that it drowned out the overhead music, which is one of the reasons we like so much to visit. We will be sure to skip Mondays going forward.

The meal was phenomenal. The service was great, and our team was very accommodating with every request. My wife has some food allergies, and they made an item up special for her.

Wonderful place to enjoy a paced meal with great service, food and beverage. The steaks area amazing. but don't be fooled, they have the best lobster in the upstate, and you would never regret having the Sea Bass. The sides are generous and I recommend spliting those for two, which they will gladly do for you. Request a big booth if you have a party of four to six, and a small booth is romantic for two. They have a couple of areas for larger groups or business meetings. One of these areas is beautifully, glassed off for less noise during a meeting. The bourbon and wine list are appropriately lengthy and give you the opportunity to try something new, or revisit an old friend.
Overall, this is our preferred date night location and where we like to take friends and family when they come to town.

The level of service and atmosphere was dis-proportionate with regard to price point of this restaurant . Our waiter was average. The one next to us was clumsy and kept bumping into our chairs The restaurant is congested.. The wait staff.uses very large cumbersome carts. Much too big for such narrow passages. The $60 steak was overcooked. I think the chef was a little too proud of his searing oven. One of the sides i had was a $13 lettuce wedge. When i asked for bacon i was told it would be &1 extra. Really??? .White linen table cloths were pretty but would have been even more pretty without. the parchment paper. Very dissappointhpii

Great service and filet

This is the first restaurant I’ve been to in years that allows people to smoke at the bar. This restaurant is a high end steak restaurant with great food. Me and my friends had 7 pm reservations. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. There were people sitting there smoking blowing their smoke everywhere. Made the night a disappointment. I would recommend another steak restaurant.

I visited here years ago, and the dining experience captured the feeling described on the website. My recent visit was a bit of a let down. The ambiance was "off", the dining area was very smoky; and the lights were uncharacteristically bright. It was very warm and muggy in there that heightened the smoke sensation. When I learned they were sold out of Lobster, I was quite disappointed, but I didn't want to ruin the experience so I stayed. If I decide to ever try Chop House 97 Steak and LOBSTER again, I'll call ahead to make sure they are not "sold out" of the name sake item. Come on guys.

Food was amazing as always but if I must say I didn't care for the wait staff reaching all over table while we were eating. I asked one lady a question and she turned to me and said "ask your waiter" I did think that was very rude.

The wife and I went for our Valentine’s Day meal. The food was extraordinary, the service was outstanding and the setting was amazing. Great place to eat, it was my first time.. my steak was phenomenal and her Chilean sea bass was awesome as well. The drinks were priced reasonably, although the food was very pricey. But it was worth it . We will definitely go back.

I was Very shocked when I walked in the door and was hit in the face with a heavy smell of cigars smoke. Apparently this must be allowed at this restaurant and it almost overwhelms the entire half of the restaurant where the bar is. I’m not sure I’ll ever return

My wife and I had a fabulous meal in a great ambiance for our Valentine's Celebration, 2018. I had never been to Chophouse 47 before, but I found it quite the place for a relaxing, scrumptious meal. Our waiter was kind, friendly and very helpful in waiting our table. Thanks to all for a wonderful time at Chophouse 47, Greenville, SC

Took my lady out for dinner here and the food and service was phenomenal to say the least. Very clean and cozy and the waitstaff was second to none!

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.

The servers made sure we were well taken care of, and were readily available. While it was a little pricey, it was well worth it considering the quality of food and service we received.
