Very good, great
Extremely overpriced. Service was fine. Steak was tuff and grisly. Mushroom side was undercooked. I ordered a glass of wine that was $25.00, I could buy in an entire bottle of the same any day for the same price. The salad was good. We won’t be back. Much better food and much less expensive nearby.
It was more expensive than it needed to be. There was smoking in the restaurant and was fairly loud. Great food and service though.
Amazing food and service!! Will definitely be back!
Love this place! The food and service never disappoint!
This month we went on a Monday, which turned out to be very busy with business groups. The conversations were such that it drowned out the overhead music, which is one of the reasons we like so much to visit. We will be sure to skip Mondays going forward.
True old fashion steak not many left like this !!
The meal was phenomenal. The service was great, and our team was very accommodating with every request. My wife has some food allergies, and they made an item up special for her.
Wonderful place to enjoy a paced meal with great service, food and beverage. The steaks area amazing. but don't be fooled, they have the best lobster in the upstate, and you would never regret having the Sea Bass. The sides are generous and I recommend spliting those for two, which they will gladly do for you. Request a big booth if you have a party of four to six, and a small booth is romantic for two. They have a couple of areas for larger groups or business meetings. One of these areas is beautifully, glassed off for less noise during a meeting. The bourbon and wine list are appropriately lengthy and give you the opportunity to try something new, or revisit an old friend.
Overall, this is our preferred date night location and where we like to take friends and family when they come to town.
High quality food and services. We are regulars.
Every time I am in town I take customers to this restaurant. It’s simply great. A bit pricey but worth it
The level of service and atmosphere was dis-proportionate with regard to price point of this restaurant . Our waiter was average. The one next to us was clumsy and kept bumping into our chairs The restaurant is congested.. The wait staff.uses very large cumbersome carts. Much too big for such narrow passages. The $60 steak was overcooked. I think the chef was a little too proud of his searing oven. One of the sides i had was a $13 lettuce wedge. When i asked for bacon i was told it would be &1 extra. Really??? .White linen table cloths were pretty but would have been even more pretty without. the parchment paper. Very dissappointhpii
Great service and filet
This is the first restaurant I’ve been to in years that allows people to smoke at the bar. This restaurant is a high end steak restaurant with great food. Me and my friends had 7 pm reservations. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. There were people sitting there smoking blowing their smoke everywhere. Made the night a disappointment. I would recommend another steak restaurant.
I visited here years ago, and the dining experience captured the feeling described on the website. My recent visit was a bit of a let down. The ambiance was "off", the dining area was very smoky; and the lights were uncharacteristically bright. It was very warm and muggy in there that heightened the smoke sensation. When I learned they were sold out of Lobster, I was quite disappointed, but I didn't want to ruin the experience so I stayed. If I decide to ever try Chop House 97 Steak and LOBSTER again, I'll call ahead to make sure they are not "sold out" of the name sake item. Come on guys.
Always the best service and food. Wine selection was very good.
Overall a good experience.. I have had better experience at other steak houses.
My boyfriend was amazed.that was my 4th visit.I'm always amazed.I also learned about fine dining.all of the plates& silverware.
Steak wasn’t what I expected. Not a great selection . Service was excellent
Food was amazing as always but if I must say I didn't care for the wait staff reaching all over table while we were eating. I asked one lady a question and she turned to me and said "ask your waiter" I did think that was very rude.
The wife and I went for our Valentine’s Day meal. The food was extraordinary, the service was outstanding and the setting was amazing. Great place to eat, it was my first time.. my steak was phenomenal and her Chilean sea bass was awesome as well. The drinks were priced reasonably, although the food was very pricey. But it was worth it . We will definitely go back.
I was Very shocked when I walked in the door and was hit in the face with a heavy smell of cigars smoke. Apparently this must be allowed at this restaurant and it almost overwhelms the entire half of the restaurant where the bar is. I’m not sure I’ll ever return
My wife and I had a fabulous meal in a great ambiance for our Valentine's Celebration, 2018. I had never been to Chophouse 47 before, but I found it quite the place for a relaxing, scrumptious meal. Our waiter was kind, friendly and very helpful in waiting our table. Thanks to all for a wonderful time at Chophouse 47, Greenville, SC
Took my lady out for dinner here and the food and service was phenomenal to say the least. Very clean and cozy and the waitstaff was second to none!
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.
The servers made sure we were well taken care of, and were readily available. While it was a little pricey, it was well worth it considering the quality of food and service we received.
The top Steak House in Greenville in my opinion.
Chophouse 47 consistently has the best steaks & lamb chops on the planet.
I have had occasion to dine here a number of times over the past several years. They are welcoming, wonderfully consistent on food quality and attentive service. Top marks for this operation in the Greenville area.
We visit Chophouse 47 every month when possible. Always a delectable dining experience.
Was surprised how poor everything was , and I enjoy fine dining
Phil the serve was awesome !
Pricey. Salmon was dry. Steak was over cooked.
Meal was too expensive for quality of food served. It was disappointing.
You won't regret your choice. Food was perfect and delicious. Dining experience was wonderful. Love eating at Chop House 47
Always a great meal and good service
The service we received with a party of 10 was great. Our server gave us the same service he would have given to just a party of 2. The food was really good as well. This was my first time to Chophouse 47 and I will be back.
Incredible food and even better service. I recommend getting Phil as your waiter, as he is an amiable gentleman who makes the food even more enjoyable.
Lived in Greenville SC for 20 years, forst time at Chophouse 47. Excellent!
We are new to the area, looking for a more upscale, great place for steak and chicken (our families favorites), to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. We reviewed the options in the area and decided on Chophouse 47.
Upon arriving, we were quickly greeted, welcomed, seated and introduced to our server. My first disappointment, being a southerner just coming back to the land of sweet tea, was that there was none served here. Ok, no big deal...i can get over that.
Our server did recommend the bacon appetizer, which was very good avid we loved the sauce that accompanied it.
My son order 16oz prime cut steak, husband the 10oz, and myself, the garlic chicken (to share with our 7yr old). We went with the cheesy potatoes, steak fries, onion rings, Caesar salad and asparagus.
The salad had the perfect, green, leafy romaine that i love. Check! Cheesy potatoes....a big hit, especially with the 7yr old. Check!! The steak fries (18yr olds choice), well, 2 of them were so crispy, you couldn't eat the ends, only the very center third of them. The others looked nice and roasted/ browned, however were not done..... still firm and crunchy inside. Thumbs down!! Onion rings were not crisp, asparagus was soggy/ mushy. Double thumbs down!! The guys enjoyed their steaks and that was the only thing that had him rate overall at a 3. My chicken was so dry and i have no idea why it's described as garlic chicken..... there could not have been even a morsel of garlic used. It looked great.... but as they say.... looks can be deceiving.
The atmosphere was too busy.... as my husband described, too many bees in the hive. I understand why, but it made it not quiet at all, not cozy, very distracting, overwhelming may be a better word.
Sad to say, after paying and leaving, we stopped across the street at Logan's for dessert and grilled chicken (which tasted more like garlic than your garlic chicken).
If you're late 40s or older you may have to use your phone flashlight to illuminate your menu. The dark lighting throughout the restaurant and red ink on the off-white menu is very hard to see. Food and Service were good. Bar can be noisy. Suggest sitting as far away as possible. All in all I will return.
