CHOP Steakhouse & Bar - Winnipeg Ratings and Reviews
Chop is my absolute favourite restaurant for a reason!!! Every time we go the food is AMAZING, the service is great, and it's always a perfect experience. I would recommend Chop to anyone and everyone. I have nothing but rave reviews for them. I'm drooling just thinking about going back....
We were there on a Sunday evening so it wasn't that busy. Food was very good. Wine is a bit pricey. Server was friendly and attentive. We were seated at a corner table so it was quiet and cozy. We have been there twice and both were good experiences. We would definitely come back again.
The staff was very friendly, worked expediently, and were very professional. They catered my my celiacs disease really nicely, and I didn't have any reaction to the food which can be rare when eating out.
The food itself was phenomenal, I have the blue cheese filet and my girlfriend had the teriyaki serloin, both were cooked to perfection. Oh and the raspberry crembrule ... to die for.
100% worth checking this place out
I had been there previously and quite enjoyed it for happy hour. Dinner was a great disappointment. They try to be high end with high end prices but the food and service was not. The waitress did not know what a carafe was and could not explain the different levels of wellness for a prime rib. My streak was over cooked and dry and the side of mushrooms tasted weird and the manager could not explain the taste. Not a good experience and will not be returning.
Disappointing, ordered an appetizer, we were not half finished, out came the French onion soup, two bites of soup or came the entree. We were not even finished the appetizer. Not asked if we wanted wine until almost finished meal. Mushroom ravioli sauce tasted like soup mix. French onion soup was burnt. Charred bits were in bowl. Server seemed to forget about us part way through even though it was not busy Mediocre.
First time there for our 45th wedding anniversary. Very nice ambience. Service was friendly but not overbearing. Shared the Lobster Gorgonzola Dip appetizer. Excellent. Had the rib eye steak and prime rib. Both were done as ordered and very good. A little pricey but we'll definitely be back.
At a steakhouse you should be able to expect good steak - not the case at this steakhouse. One steak was great but the other one was tough and chewy. We also had ribs and they had a burnt charred taste to them. Not what I had expected at all for our first visit to this restaurant.
