Food was great as usual. So glad that we were given the option to switch the blue cheeses dressing with avocado lime vinaigrette for the wedge salad which was very good.
We appreciated the extra treat given for my husband’s birthday.
We are pleased with safety measures in place for Covid 19.
Meal was as good as the Keg Steakhouse and Bar. Therefore, we won't be gallavanting out to this location in the near future as the Keg is so much closer. It was good enough for the money. Not extremely special. But can't complain.

I’ve been to Chop for business meals on many occasions and tonight was quite disappointing in terms of service. It’s not clear you cannot enter through the lounge and because of my last meal just last week, we were told that was possible. Upon entering the lounge, no one greeted us for 5 minutes even though the 3 staff working were talking amongst themselves at the bar. We were finally told to go check in at the front of the restaurant side, even though we wanted to sit at the lounge with intentions of ordering for happy hour. Back to the lounge we went and we got sat at the high tables even though I reserved booth seating. If we chose to sit at the dining side, I didn’t know if we could order for happy hour. Plus the reservation platform gave 3 options for seating: booth, high table, or outside. We sat down and no one proceeded to serve us for almost 10 minutes. He didn’t even offer water or anything. It’s quite disappointing you advertise to be a higher class restaurant but have such inadequate service.
Steaks were not tasty, presentation was plain. There's nothing special about this place. I wouldn't recommend it or return

It's always consistent and the prime rib is great. the service is always very good. it's our place to go for family birthdays. They are very good about my son's food allergies.
Our lunch date with friends(2) we had not seen for months was excellent. Chop went out of their way to provide an ideal setting with lots of space between diners.
Our meals were tasty with great presentation - the beef dip was a big hit. Our server was busy attending bar & waiting on tables in a warm & humous manner.
Chop is definitely a restaurant we will return to, coming from Ladner it’s a great location to meet friends from Vancouver city.
We always enjoy Chop! This time my spouse and I were there by request of our son, who chose Chop for his birthday dinner. Likely due to COVID-19, the restaurant was very quiet on a Thursday night; all staff are wearing masks & it appears the restaurant is thorougly adhering to social distancing rules.
We had an especially wonderful waiter, very attentive and thoughtful. I ordered my favourite - the amazing Smoked Rib Eye - and this time all three of us ordered it. We were all delighted with the flavour & how each was perfectly cooked to order. Careful attention was paid to my gluten-free needs.
(Am disappointed Chop no longer serves the sweet/spicy sauce to go with their Smoked Rib Eye ...it made the plate more interesting & offered a great contrast flavour-wise to the smokiness of the steak. But having said that, I'll still vouch for this steak being top notch!).

It was our first time at Chop , me and the wife went there for dinner. We had a 8 pm reservation but even though we were 15 min late, they still had our table reserved for us. The restaurant was nice , they maintained social distancing between other tables . Our waitress was very good , food was delicious . We are coming back for sure .

Our server Korbin was amazing! Definitely made our night, he was very attentive and always had an upbeat genuine conversation with him. As for cleanliness during covid, I thought the standards were great and everyone was able to stay a comfortable distance from eachother while enjoying their meals.

I don't know if it because of COVID 19 but chop is not as I remember being. I do no think I will ever return for the time and money I spend when I come all the way from Delta
It was my husband's birthday, and this was the worst birthday meal he has had at a restaurant. Compared to past experiences, his steak and French onion soup were tasteless. My vegan meal was so bland, I just could not finish it. Very disappointing experience on my husband's birthday.
Wife’s steak was not cooked as ordered but was promptly taken care of. Service was great and the food was awesome!
Crab cakes were not 'crabby', server removed them from bill - unprompted. Server anticipated our needs well.

Night and day difference from our last experience. Unfortunately, not for the better. First time, food was amazing, cooked perfectly, hot and executed well. This time, the food was a disappointment. You could tell the plates sat underneath the heat lamps for a le grey period of time.....the bearnaise sauce was crusty. The cheesecake was inedible, overcooked, and the two steaks ordered were very tough. Though this was ot a restaurant problem, but a supplier problem. The one steak was barely a rare and ordered med rare. I hope they can change for the better again.
Overall good experience but felt rushed at times. For example we ordered our appetizers and five mins after asked us for a entrées.
We thought we were going to a dining room but instead put in front of a bar with tv and noise everywhere. So much for an intimate dinner. Poor wine list when wanting can sav by the glass. Overall very disappointing

The outside hostess was great! She was able to accompany us to our reserved table easily without much trouble. She also was able to explain the chop experience to my mom and sister who was dining their for the first time. However, the waitress and food we had inside were not up to their usual standard. I believe they changed their bone-in ribeye recipe to have the garlic mixture on the side for an additional 3$, which i requested after finding out it didn't come with the bone-in ribeye by default like they use to. When I did receive my garlic side mixture, i thought it was going to be a sauce from how it was described in the menu, however, I was wrong. It came on a plate and it did not mesh well with the steak anymore. I think if it were cooked together in the first place, it would've been good. My steak also was burnt a little bit on the outside. The fully loaded baked potato was good, i didn't have any problems with it. It was almost impossible to flag down our waitress who was serving us today. It took over 15 mins before we were able to flag her down to order our food, then later on when we wanted to flag her down again for refill on our beverages it took another 10-15mins.
Seeing as this was a birthday celebration for me, and also not my first experience here. I was quite disappointed. I understand that there are covid restrictions and staff maybe overworked and have little motivation to work. That doesn't justify the food and service we received today. I was really looking forward to this meal today, especially since I have received excellent service and food quality from them before.
I think I might have to change my review of this place to something that I won't recommend as much in the future, if their quality of service continues to be like this.
Great service and ambiance. Food was very tasty. The place is highly under utilized. Has a really nice Vegas look inside. Enjoyed our mini staycation off Vancouver Island.
