Food was outstanding. Along with the service. Our server Dakota was on the spot. Highly recommend.
We went for dinner week in Palm Springs. I had a friend come into town and took her and my neighbor there, after seeing the menu on way to car from night before at LG'S, which was not good at all. The menu selection was just amazing, the steak was so tender, you could cut it with a butter knife. Even the cream Brule was just perfectly made.
Wonderful food and service, consistent as always at Chop House PS. All four of us had an excellent dining experience during restaurant week my starter was the wedge salad, then filet (cooked to perfection, we had specified Med Rare, Medium etc to the chef and all four steaks were served to perfection).
The ambiance was marked "4" due to the fact when we got seated, there were plenty of diners but not a sound was heard, music was off and it was like going into a library to eat. I asked the server, response was music player issues.
Very sad they are closing down. Have enjoyed our visits there over the years. Great food. Outstanding service.
Our server was helpful and attentive all night. I ordered the scallops which were cooked to perfection. My cousin ordered the filet mignon but she wasn't too thrilled. Overall we enjoyed our evening at Chop House.
We've eaten here several times. We dined during restaurant week. Waited way too long for service for drinks. Finally someone asked if we'd been helped and when we said no, they said "well, if I can't find your waiter, I'll be happy to be your server". Food was generally good, but the wedge salad was disappointing - lettuce too yellow and the dressing was very tart. The $38 cost is a bit much for us with drinks added so we only do this once in awhile. We probably won't be going back anytime soon.
Horrible service and very unprofessional waiter!! Came here to enjoy our anniversary. Ordered the pork chop and it came out tough as jerky. When I asked to send it back the waiter was rude and ordered me to get the prime rib. After my wife was done eating I still did not get my dinner. I decided I did not want the dinner. The waiter was hostile and to make things even worse the manager didn't even come to our table to apologize. I couldn't believe it!!! That's probuly why the other closed down. Indo not recommend and will never have a meal or recommend to anyone!!!
The restaurant did not disappoint. Excellent food and excellent service. What more could you want in the heart of downtown Palm Springs!
The food tasted great. I gave a 4 because the steak was over cooked. Kind of unfair you think but 2 grades off, asked for medium rare (wanting medium but figured they would be off) got well. Flavor was excellent. Everything else was excellent hence the 5 star overall.
Excellent food, one of the best in Palm Springs. We all had rib eye steak, it was amazing. The escargot and large shrimp cocktail were to die for. They make a mean Moscow Mule!!
Food was good and proportions were perfect
All in all a very good experience
Best steaks and service you'll find in the PS area, wonderful atmosphere, and great service. Linda your the best.
The restaurant is located in the center of main street where restaurants and bars are. Food quality is good, and the wine selection was superb. We came late at night (9pm) with kids, and sat outside. There re bars on both side of the restaurant so noise level is high, although the restaurant has plenty of tables indoor. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
Great service, friendly and professional, great food carefully prepared, great wine list and nice atmosphere make this restaurant a solid candidate for the "repeat" list.
Food was very good. Service slow to take our wine order and they did not sell any rose wine. Waitress seemed a bit rushed off her feet but was very nice and friendly. Was recommended by taxi driver to eat here and although steaks were very good it was not quite what we were looking for - we wanted a more formal and romantic dining experience
We had a very poor experience at The Chop House. The server ignored us, our food was cold and there were 2 choices for white wine by the bottle. We are experienced diners and this was extremely disappointing.
Haven't used this resturant for a couple of years and ended up being highly disappointed. Standard of everything has plunged. Food is poor and grossly overprice. Service is very average and you generally get the feeling you are being taken for a ride based on its former glories. Avoid.
We were in at 7:30 on a Thursday night. While the rest of Palm Canyon looked to be jam packed, we were one of only a few tables. Many of the bottles of wine that we tried to order were out of stock and needed to be substituted, quite a few people stated that their steaks or seafood were overcooked or just dry. My filet for example was cooked perfectly at medium rare but needed a good swig of wine to wash it down because of its texture and dryness. Gerardo, our sever, did a fantastic job. He was friendly, professional, thorough, and didn't miss a thing. He deserves a pat on the back for his service. We had a nice meal but would choose somewhere else on our next visit to Palm Springs. For $2000, I wanted all 15 people in our group to rave about the food and wine, and not just how our waiter did a good job.
The food was excellent. The 14 oz Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and it was a large cut of thick meat. The service was also good. Sitting outside was very noisy, however, since it is right on the busy roadway.
Wanted prime rib for a last night dinner in Palm Springs. Had checked on line menu. When seated found that item was only available on weekend nights not on the Wednesday night of our visit
