Food was good, service was very good and attentive, ambiance was lacking due to Covid cautions.
Tends to be noisy but happy noise. Not a reason to stay away.
Will be back.
Always a pleasure!!! Tried them first back in December and been there every month since 😩🥰🥰
The food and service were excellent! Nice atmosphere and right downtown made it a great place to visit.
Awesome food, hospitality, ambience and the Chef is qualified to deliver delicious food!
Good drinks and food, very attentive waiters, pleasant ambiance. A nice dinner.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere, will definately come back!
Very nice experience! Excellent food quality and service, beautiful atmosphere!
Food is always good and service is excellent. If you’re in Thomasville go here it’s great.
Awesome food. Great ambiance. Owner very likeable, makes you feel like family. Will definitely go back.
The whole experience at Chop House on the Bricks was great. The food was delicious, the service was great, and it is a great place for a special occasion. The menu offers few vegetarian options, most of the veggie side dishes include meat
It was a terrible experience. Starting With when I booked the reservation I noted that it was a birthday celebration.. And when I arrived at the restaurant I was not allowed to bring in a birthday cake. Maybe they should’ve mentioned that when they called to confirm my reservation for a birthday celebration. And the manner in which it was handled was embarrassing. They were very rude in making the reservation..I was told they couldn’t accommodate me at the time I wanted to come in ( six was a large party on a Tuesday) and I had to come in an hour later and then when I got to the restaurant it was empty. Everything about it was disappointing. I will never go back.
Thank you for dining. I understand your disappointment in the failed attempt at brining a cake in to eat at the table. We employ a Pastry Chef who makes excellent desserts including several that satisfy a birthday cake feel. We also offer the opportunity for our pastry chef to make a birthday cake for celebrations with advance notice. Please accept our apology for not properly communicating these policies. Thank you for your feedback.
Outstanding steaks! Excellent service! Good wine selection
Delicious food, great service. Mediocre bar service - small glasses, small drinks, poor pours on wine and alcohol.
Great meal! Steaks were cooked to perfection and cocktails were well made. What more can you ask for?
The food is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. We brought friends along from Florida and they had a great time and were very impressed with the Chop House. I have had a severe allergic reaction to gluten and shellfish for over twenty years that has put me in the hospital several times. My waitress was familiar with my diet restrictions but said she would double check with the chef. This helped put me at ease.
By far the best food in Thomasville. You could pay more for a meal that wouldn't be as good but why would you?
Service was outstanding and the food was even better.
Food was not as good as in the past. Steak was tough and had little or no taste.
We had a wonderful experience! Our food was fresh and delicious. Service was great!
I was a little bit disappointed that they ran out of oysters.
Best NY Strip around. Wife loved the Scallops and Pecan Pie. Cocktails and wine were also excellent!
Great food as always, good service and as an added bonus they had a very good guitar player.
They were very short staffed but the food was very good
The Chop House was very good.
On a Tuesday night, the martinis were $5 each so we tried ! Each was an interesting mix.
We started with the fried oysters which were cooked perfectly, had a thin slice of pickle and prosciutto on each with a lovely plated sauce.
The chopped salad was very good, with a champagne vinaigrette that worked perfectly.
Sides of greens (ok) and Brussels Sprouts (excellent) were large enough to share.
The highlight was the on-site aged Ribeye - maybe the best steak I’ve ever had, but definitely top 3. You could even taste the difference in the aging. The Gorgonzola butter was. I e. The steak sauce was good, but I didn’t use it because the steak was perfect.
The chocolate bourbon bread pudding was nice, could have had more bourbon flavor. Not the best ever but it was good.
Service was great - martinis took a tad long to come but overall an outstanding experience.
This was our second visit and the service and food continue to be top-notch. As far as I can tell they adhere to all of the pandemic restrictions. The restaurant is in an old building with high ceilings, brick walls and a concrete floor so be ready for it to be louder than most restaurants. I would not stay away because of the noise but be aware that it can get loud. As for the food, steak for me and fish for my date. We both enjoyed our meal and had enough left over for the next evening.
As usual, the food and drinks were excellent! The Caesar salad with fried egg is always a favorite!
Oysters from Canada are good choice in the summer. We have some of the best oysters in the world at our local coast. Larger and better taste. Why don't you support the local economy? 4 star restaurants in NY feature oysters from Apalachicola bay.
Excellent service and the steaks were outstanding!!
Very over priced. Not a big menu. Very slow. Steak was tough. Martini warm. Best thing on table creamed corn.
Chop House on the Brick is always a winner. Whether its an anniversary, birthday or a weekly date night its a special experience. The ambiance makes dining a memorable experience. An important factor to us was how safe we felt during a pandemic. Sitting mere feet from the bar it still feels like a romantic dinner for 2 ,with the ability to enjoy the person or people you are with & the most amazing dinner around. We started with a special oyster appetizer that included pimento & bacon (you had me at bacon) which was amazing, followed by filets, collards & good wine, what more could anyone want. Love Chop House on the Brick & it will continue to be the best restaurant around & always worth a 45 minute drive.
We return here almost every year and aren’t disappointed. I think their onion rings may be the best in Georgia! We did think the entrees were too heavily salted (both duck and scallops). Service was great and we had a good time.
Very enjoyable with excellent food and nice ambience
We had a fabulous dinner this week at the Chop House. The corn side dish was out of this world, crazy good! The NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. The house made steak sauce is perfect and I don’t typically like steak sauce. Oysters were super fresh. The house mignonette sauce is perfect. Don’t miss this place!
Great restaurant would recommend for a romantic night out.
An absolute delight! My husband took me here for my birthday. It is a beautiful building with the old ton ceiling and period lighting. The food was fantastic. The staff were attentive and very friendly. We lived it and will definitely return. I hope on our return visit, we get to see the smiling faces of the employees. I will be ask if ng the owner to free the employees from the self suffocation devices. Otherwise this is a 5+ star restaurant!
Food was delicious and atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend!
Overpriced mediocre food and service is nothing to rave about.
Our dinner was amazing. Our waitress was very kind and gave us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. No one wanted to be rushed... we hadn’t had a chance to visit in a long time. Chophouse supplied us with rich memories.
The food since COVID is mediocre at best. I was so disappointed and I brought guests!
