This was our anniversary dinner. The service was fantastic. The food was awful. It took over an hour to get our food. The restaurant was not busy, a slow night due to FSU Homecoming.
The duck tacos has no flavor. The $43 ribeye was less than half an inch thick and was over cooked. One of our sides was wrong, they brought the correct one. The green beans tasted like they came from a can, not fresh. Overall unhappy with the food.
The drinks were okay. The margaritas are way to sweet.
While the service was great, we will not go back due to the poor food quality.
Will be a frequent date night spot. Amazing food/cocktails kind people.
The food was F***ing good , you get for what you pay for , the ambiance is great , the customer service is phenomenal, and great selection of wines and liquors, I definitely recommend the 12oz NY strip with the. Onion rings. Also great for a romantic date.
Food and service was excellent! We will definitely be coming back.
The food was terrible. My wife and I have eaten here before, and it was great. This last time, the recipes were different. The food was salty. The salad dressing was vinegar. I will not return to this restaurant.
The wine, main (and dessert) food were fantastic as well as the service. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their creations!
It was ok. I was expecting to be wow'ed by what people have said and I wasn't. SASS and Jonah's ribeyes are better, in my opinion. My husband wants to go back and try their seafood, as we both ordered ribeyes. I would stick with a burger so it's not so expensive.
Requested medium well steak and received well done. Steak was really charred. Due to the long wait I didn’t request a replacement. I assumed I would received something off my tab for the inconvenience but didn’t.
Good and service were excellent, looking forward to our next visit!
Love the chop house! Great service, great drinks, great food and awesome oysters. Great combo!!
Attentive, pleasant service; great, well-prepared and it was quickly & remarkably apparent that ChopHouse management reads their reviews as our attentive server, when she asked about our enjoyment of our selected Amarone & whether it’s served temperature was more to our liking. In an earlier review, we had suggested that an ordered Brunello had been served at a temperature cooler than customary for full-bodied red wines.
We certainly recommend the ChopHouse on the Bricks!
Good experience that we've come to expect. Live music was good but took a lot of breaks! Overall definitely recommended!
The food was outstanding! This was our first trip to Thomasville and surely not our last. I wish I remember the name of our waiter because he was outstanding. Food and drinks were delicious and the wine list is quite good. Absolutely recommend!
All was good except for an excellent Italian red wine that was refrigerator-chilled much too cold!
It has been a couple of years since we've dined at Chop House, but decided it was the perfect venue for my wife's birthday. The online reservation system was easy and our request for booth seating was honored upon our arrival. Alex did a great job meeting our needs with a perfect balance of checking in, but not so much that it was bothersome. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and my wife's red snapper was enjoyed. The brussel sprouts were amazing too!
I will say that the sides are plentiful enough to share. Each of us ordered brussels and neither of us could finish the plentiful amount. This is a nice quiet venue for a delicious meal.
Great place to visit, very cozy and good for date night. The price can add up but the food is worth it and the drinks are amazing!
The steak was wonderful and the watermelon salad was to die for, very refreshing. But then the dessert ruined the whole meal! I got the pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was great but the pecan pie tasted like everything in the refrigerator! Our drinks were very good but for the price you pay for them you don’t get very much.
Portions were much smaller than in the past but the taste was superb.
The ribeye had great flavor but was cut a bit on the thin side for the price and needed a bit more seasoning. The red smashed potatoes were an excellent side dish. It was difficult to find the oyster under all the pimento cheese in pimento cheese oysters. Crab toast and cocktails were fantastic as was the service.
it was the last night with my girlfriends daughter before she went back to college. Also it’s her first time there and she was blown away. Chop house never disappoints.
Celebrating our 22nd anniversary my wife and I want to have a night on the town in Thomasville. I made reservations a couple days ahead (I'm glad I did)
We were seated right away at a table that had been reserved for us. We had lobster egg rolls for an appetizer. The sauce that came with them was fantastic. For dinner, I had the 16oz ribeye steak cooked to a perfect medium. She had the filet med-rare. She said with was great. We had two sides of hopping john and on creamed corn. Understand this, I have never had creamed corn that I like but this was like no other. Tasty. We enjoyed three drinks.
We enjoyed dessert. I had the chocolate bread pudding and she had cream Brulee and a coffee. With a 20% tip (our server was worth it) it cost just over $200. Now $200 is a lot of money. But when comparing that to a place like Longhorn which would still be over $125 for the same items there is no comparison in quality or service. And at Chop House no one interrupts your dinning with singing and shouting happing birthday. Heads up Longhorn, when I'm paying $24 for a steak that just should not be part of the meal. Chop House is casual dress, but high-end dinning.
Thanks Chop House staff, you made our 22nd we'll tell all of our friends about.
The food was fantastic as it always is. Great service, and great experience.
Lovely menu and atmosphere. I will look forward to returning very soon.
Started out well but took an hour to get our steak. Several customers who sat down after us got served before we did. Think the server messed up but never admitted to it or came to see if steak was cooked properly. Very disappointed. Came here before and loved it. Probably will not return.
Food was good, different spin on southern cooking.
We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The staff was amazing and the hostess bought our dessert!! How sweet was that?!
The duck and steal were cooked to perfection. The a la carte are huge portions so they can be shared.
The art is done by local artist. Michael Brennen and Tracy Foutz Hunt are the featured artist and their work is AMAZING and guests can purchase the pieces.
Chop House is a hidden jewel in Thomasville and will be so glad you chose it to dine.

Excellent service, wonderful menu, great time ! We will return soon !!
This was just about perfect. The food was outstanding. Chop House is a 'destination'
The food was phenomenal. We had the lamb, duck, grits, and brussel sprouts. I would order them all again.
Great experience. Small setting with very attentive staff…
Very good steak. Hopin Jon needed more flavors. Foor prep was too long. I will go back...
Had a great Birthday Dinner at Chop House. The food and wine were excellent. Service was good also. Got to meet the owner and she had her baby with her. Family affair as her Husband is the chef. We will be back and soon!!
good place for nice expensive dinner...reservations strongly reccomended as they have limited seating and advanced bookings..walkups are going to be experiencing a long wait
Always delicious and consistent! Love oyster Wednesday night!! Also, had a fabulous filet cooked perfectly! Love Chop House!!
Not just a meal it was a great culinary experience.
The food was amazing: scallops and lamb both cooked perfectly. Featured salad (figs, mustard greens, etc) was mind-blowing! Server was attentive without hovering, knew the menus well and made sure we had a great time. Gorgeous older building, great setting!
One of our favorite restaurants. Matt and Kim do an amazing job and food is always great.
Hubby and I love coming here. Perfect date night in town.
Service was excellent. Steaks were grilled to perfection. Wine was a perfect match.
Excellent service; our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Wonderful food enjoyed by all 4 people. Just a little pricey though, especially the wine. For a dining experience of this nature, we wish Cappuccino was available at the end of the meal. Excellent Oysters Rockefeller, sides and the Brookie dessert is to die for. We’ll be back.
