Chop Edmonton Downtown is open for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night - whether you’re having a cocktail after work or have come for a delicious meal, our servers are always happy to see you!
We enjoyed our meal & visit at the Chop Steakhouse.
Food was fantastic but our waiter pushed us to order, and pushed us and made the experience not as good as i would of liked.
I did leave a 15% tip but considered not.
We were a group of 15 people and they set round tables together. Square or retangular tables would be way more comfortable.
Went on a date with my girlfriend. Everything was fantastic. Will definitely come back again.
Restaurant had great food and service, only downside was the setting. Old, not private,
Strange room. People walking through the restaurant the entire time
Could not complain about any aspect of the meal that I enjoyed with two friends.
I especially enjoyed two things:
1. If you order one ounce of scotch, you can get the second ounce at 1/2-price.
2. The charming, efficient, and knowledgeable server Katie really added to our experience.
We had an excellent experience at Chop, thank you so very much! Our waiter was phenomenal as was our food! Great ambiance as well!
Great prime rib, fast service! The scalloped potatoes had too much garlic and we sent it back. The manager came over to apologize and said checked with the kitchen to see if they were doing something wrong. Overall, we very impressed that restaurant dealt with the minor food issues quickly. An excellent experience overall.
The food was amazing and well presented. The service was outstanding!
My filet was perfect, seasonal vegetables (broccolini and roasted beets) were delicious. The steak bites from the kids' menu also excellent, and came with an appetizer plate and an ice cream dessert. Best dinner offering for a child that I've seen. We had superior service from Cody.
I have never been to a restaurant and felt so badly judged by a server before. Maybe the server was having a bad day but that doesn’t give him the right to make a customer feel not welcomed. It was my daughters 11th birthday and she choose CHOP for the 3rd year. We usually go to the southside chop which the food was much better and so was the service. The moment we walked in, we were welcomed by very friendly hosts but the entire meal experience was awful. A server can really ruin the mood and make it a bad experience which he did just that for our family. The fish was sooo dry I couldn’t even swallow it but was already too disappointed at that point To make a comment. We ordered the burger for my 11 year old daughter and the server had mentioned he ordered as adult meal when we realized there was she hadn’t received her kids drink yet. At that point he should have fixed that promblem there but just walked away. Chop has not put a bad taste in my mouth all because of 1 horrible server. Please don’t work in the industry if you are not up for it. People are already stressed enough at home and they just want to enjoy a nice (Birthday) dinner togther without the headache of cooking and feeling spoiled. I will say the soup was actually amazing and one of the best. Even if my daughter chooses chop for her birthday again which Most likely won’t, it will take a lot for us to return to chop. And I was going to plan my dads 70th birthday at chop, no way.
They were very kind to me on my birthday! Great food and friendly staff, and free shots!!
Nothing bad to say. Food was good and the atmosphere was nice. The Waitress was really friendly.
Great lunch! Amazing Dining Week value. Service was stellar - en pointe, and on time! Not always easy when you only have an hour lunch break but it ran smoothly.
Amazing food staff and vibe. The lounge is my favorite. Sophisticated yet cozy. The food always hot flavorful and new. Whiskey Bourbon Fish is to die for among other things. Note the plate size for "downtown dinning" this is not a small meal and you will be full unlike Madison Grill and Ft Mqc Hotel still hungry after we had their experience. So well done Chop staff and chefs and everyone there.
Food was Luke warm, they acknowledged our birthday celebration nicely, staff was friendly
Party of 5 for a birthday. First time there and enjoyed the Downtown Dining week experience, which offered an excellent selection to choose from. Food and service was very good. Overall an excellent experience.
Nice experience. Will go back
We were dining at lunch to celebrate a new job for one of our colleagues and our group received excellent service and the food was amazing. The round table set up allowed for easy conversation.
My sister-in-law was visiting so we decided to take advantage of Downtown Dining Week and take her out for a nice dinner. One salad didn’t have any dressing on it and when it came back there was a pool in the bottom of the bowl, the bread was rock hard and I mean ROCK hard, my “medium” cooked steak was “blue rare” and when it came back it had too much garlic salt on it but it was cooked and the coffee was like water. The soup was very good (they comped me one, that I didn’t want, to have while waiting for my steak), the haddock dish was very good and the desserts were delicious! They also comped us our beverages and gave us a $off card for our next visit.
We were very embarrassed. It was a memorable evening but for all the wrong reasons. To add insult to injury, the parkade that we chose to park in cost us $30.
Enjoyed the downtown dining week experience great menu options for a great price! We had a great server too!
Excellent service, food was great and presentation was excellent!
Very good! We chose the set menu for the "Downtown Dinning week" and everything was great. Service was timed well and the young man who served us was very sociable. Only complaint was with the older couple who they seated opposite us - she was on her cell phone for most of the time we were there and he was so deaf that the conversations they did have had to be loud and continually repeated. Obviously not the restaurant's fault - but better spacing of clients in the uncrowded restaurant would have improved the evening out.
Food was fabulous and well worth the drive in from Fort Saskatchewan.
Another great meal, with fantastic service and top notch food!
Went to the game, stayed at the Sutton and always eat at the Chop!! Great place, good times but always better when the Oilers lose.
Parking charge was enormous surprise. Parked in attaching Parkdale . $30 parking charge and ZERO compensation from restaurant. In fact when asked the on floor manager, his response is parking is not a concern for the restaurant.
Went on game night so it was very loud. Good steak, side vegetable left much to be desired.
Excellent Steaks and prime rib! Service was also very good. Dining room is intimate and quiet enough for conversation. I’d recommend to friends.
10 year wedding anniversary. Caisson the floor manager provides legendary hospitality. Highly recommended!
It was great and beautiful location !
We had one little issue with an appetizer that was our problem, not theirs and they switched things out without question. Made the whole experience so enjoyable.
Service was amazing, the noise level was great for visiting and my family were in the resturant. I really enjoyed the my tiem there but the steak was underwelming.
My meal was good, and the drink was outstanding. The kitchen got my friend’s meal wrong (although our server quickly corrected it). A little pricey for what we got.
Had a party of 8 for lunch and so were seated in a lovely private room which was wonderful. Food was great and service was very good as well. A great business lunch setting.
Food was delicious, way better than expected. Will definitely come back again.
Booked a table for 5 for my birthday dinner. Included myself my husband and our 3 kids, 2 of which are 3 & 2.
Food was good, our waitress was really pleasant and professional.
Only hiccup was my daughter asked for scalloped potatoes and they gave her mashed potatoes. By the time they brought out the scallop potatoes she was done eating her steak dinner. They still charged for the scalloped potatoes yet it was their error. I feel that should’ve been deducted from the bill. Still have the waitress a 20% tip.
We enjoyed a pregame meal. Waiter was awesome in helping with the menu suggestions.
Got us in and out quick without feeling rushed. Meal was very good.
We flew in for work and stayed an extra few days to celebrate my bday. Perfect spot for dinner and drinks! Great experience!
Restaurant waiter was creepy looking. Poor hair style. Very scruffy looking. Was creeped out so we went to the lounge for dinner in stead
Good food. Nice, private dining area. Drinks were amazing. Food was slow to come.
