I can't believe we just discovered this place. Our normal sushi place just raised it's prices and the quality did not increase as well. So we looked for another place to go. Bonus, this place has Sunday Brunch which we love!

I loved this brunch. There was lots I could eat (I'm ketogenic) and it was good and fresh. My only issue was that I was told if there wasn't a roll I liked on the buffet they would make it, but that was not true. I wanted a Bikini roll but they said they didn't make the specialty rolls, only the regular ones.

I had to wait about 25 min after my reservation and the Cook put the wrong food on my dates plate so he had to cook a whole new plate. Outside of those two issue ok.

It was Valentine’s Day and also my girlfriend’s birthday. Made reservations with details but nothing was honored. Asked for a booth and got a lousy bar table next to the bussing area. Bussers were bumping into me and would awkwardly stare at me to create a hostile experience. Told them it was my gf birthday but nothing! The hostess was rude and didn’t bother listening to my requests! I understand it was busy but quality of service was horrible. I’ve been to this establishment many times and this was by far the worse experience. I was like why the hell did I bother coming to chomps! I gave them 3 stars to be nice and because food was good but service was bad. I work for a company that strive on guest service and I also work in the food industry so I know what to expect. This establishment needs work on service and respect!

We been here three times within a seven month period and we will continue to come back. The food is great and you pay for what you get. You get a lot of food and the entertainment is awesome especially if you get the cook named Jesus. He is funny and makes ur lunch/dinner worth going and paying for. The last two times we went we had him as our cook and we left with a wonderful experience. We will go back again and again if we end up getting him as our cook. Overall this place is awesome!!

Early Valentine’s Day date night!

Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and checked in. 30 minutes later I inquired why we hadn’t be sat yet and they told us we never checked in. A little back and forth with the other hostesses and we were sat right away and the server apologized for the mixup. Unfortunately, the hostess never offered any apologies for their mistake. We were going to walk away but they offered us a solo Teppan table. Server and chef were great! As was the food. Looking forward to our next visit but we will be sure to double check the hostesses work for her!

Food portions of Sushi were very good. Service was excellent and prices were reasonable vs. other sushi places we have been. Wonderful experience other than a bit noisy .

I had to check in twice and was seated 30 minutes after my reservation time and wait total of 40 minutes to be seated. I waited same time as non reservation guests. Why make a reservation online 2 weeks in advance???

This place has excellent tasting food. Sitting at the grill is so enjoyable and they are so accommodating. I especially like that they confirmed our reservations and answered all our questions.

Everything was pretty interesting, it was our first time. Love the concept of it being a sushi restaurant mixed with Benihana style. The food is amazing and there was happy hour all day so we got a really nice experience.

Only down side was one of the female worker was a bit rude. I don't think she meant to be... but she came by asking if we still had any of their menus *it was a Tuesday night and they close in around 15 mins* we said we were keeping a menu in case we wanted to order more. She told us last call ended already and she needed our menu, so we handed it to her. My date became upset because we were never notified of last call and the table of guys near us just had some more of their friends arrive and we're still looking through the menus. After a couple minutes, our waitress came by to check on us, if everything was alright, AND if we wanted to order anything else because it would be last call.... we told her the other female worker took our menu and said last call had already past. Our waitress asked if we wanted her to go grab another one for us but there was no need anymore. We both kind of lost our appetite. We continued to finish the rest of our food and next thing we know, the female worker comes around again and this time snatching the soy sauce on our table without even asking if we were finished with using it... Our waitress had to go grab us another one.

All in all, everything from the interior, to the food, and to the service of OUR waitress was great. I put 4 stars bc it became annoying how they were rushing to close and take things away from our table BEFORE it was closing time. I don't care if they close at 10pm but still took 9:15 reservations. If I'm there eating with my date, dont be rude while trying to preclose early so that you get to go home on time.

This is one of our favorite places to eat and we have always had a great time! The chefs are amazing and the staff is always attentive and kind.

Came here after seeing great reviews, however the food and service were very average. Not sure why the reviews are so high. Ordered the green beans, edamame, shrimp crunch roll, lettuce wraps, and vegetables with rice. All were good, but not great, definitely not good enough to come back.

We celebrated my daughters 16 th Birthday here. The teppan chef did a great job entertaining us. He was talkative and engaging. The food was well prepared. We had shrimp, halibut, chicken and steak. My daughter had a great time. We would go back again.

Came in for the brunch on Christmas Eve and it was great! Unlimited mimosas, all you can eat buffet with sushi, noodle and omelette bar, American breakfast food and steak, and friendly, attentive service. All for $25. Great experience, food, and value.

If you are looking for a whole slab of any piece of sashimi wrapped around rice this is the place for you. Asked the manager for a different selection he said rudely that it wasn't available when clearly it was listed on the menu, promptly turned around and walked away. Poor customer service skills. The only good thing about this restaurant was the waitress who was very accommodating. She also commented that many customers complain about the slices of sashimi being too thick. A very horrible dining experience for a party of four.

The women’s bathroom was under construction and the crew has simply left it in a shambles. Tools all over the place and a plastic trash bag filled with whatever in one of the sinks. Not acceptable and tarnished what was otherwise a great night. Worse was that the staff on duty didn’t seem to care despite being made aware of the problem.

Chomp rates very well with another favorite teppan style restaurant.
The difference is that Chomp is close by while the other teppan style restaurant I favor is in Pasadena.
Now that I know how good the food and the restaurant is I will be eating more at Chomp

Loved the place but it could be better maintained the chairs uncomfortable the bar area dirty and the chairs ugly. The women’s restroom beyond disgusting no tissue paper or paper towels and the night was early. Manager needs to step up game and hire people to maintain busy areas every hour in the hour, for the price you pay
