Chocolate Avenue Grill Ratings and Reviews
Seated very quickly, we were not asked a preference of table or booth even though we had a reservation and there was virtually no one in the restaurant yet. The waitress was attentive but not friendly. She did not sell up appetizers or ask if I wanted more wine. I would have ordered both. She was very curt and short. She did her job well but wasn't overly nice.
Good place to eat in Hershey. Independent as opposed to all the chain places around town. The only down note was the Chicken Marsala. It is my favorite and this place made it right. The last two times, however, the chicken was hard to cut and a bit tough. Seemed like the pieces were too thick for this dish. Roasted asparagus was very good. My husband loved his salmon. Service was attentive.
Had Jesse's World Famous Salad and it was delicious! Our party of four all enjoyed their meals. Service was good until the end. Took a long time to get the check and then a long time to get the receipt back, but everyone was friendly. Would definitely recommend.
This Pre-Nutcracker matinee lunch was quick, close to Hershey Theater and had good food. I had “Jess’s favorite salad in the world” which was delicious. The lemonade was really too sweet, but everyone ate their lunch and said they enjoyed it. Not much in the ambience department, so go for the fresh food and the Hershey zip code.
First time there and I loved it. My friend and I came from opposite directions and met there before going to Hershey Theatre.
The food was great and we were able to take our time before the show.
Friendly, helpful staff directed us to the Theatre which is easy to find two blocks away. We will definitely set this as our pre-theatre stop.
As always, the food was excellent, the service fine and the over all experience verym, very good.
Several years ago I ordered a meal I did not care for, and passed it over to my friend to eat. The owner/manager took note, had a different choice provided, and did not charge for either meal. We found that to be an exercise in premiere customer relations and frequent the resturant often, due in part to his professional and concerned attention. Thank you! MB
Mediocre at best. Wings were tasty, but drenched in oil in a basket. Our entrees were bland (although chicken breast in my chix parm was good quality), the red sauce tasted like it was from a can. Our server was snippy as well, and acted as if she wanted to be elsewhere. Disappointed in our experience overall.
My friend and I took each other to lunch for our birthdays! We both ordered salads and they were large, delicious and filling. We each took a leftover salad container. Our server was very efficient and not overly hovering. The salads were accompanied by 2 rolls which looked great but were very dry and tasteless. Also, my friend said she was Gluten Free so a different option should have been offered to her instead of the roll. The iced tea was refreshing and delicious. It tasted freshly brewed.
We realized it had been more than a year since our last lunch at the Chocolate Ave. Grill. We decided that we would be back there much sooner!
Menu was great and all of our meals came out quick and tasted great. Service was fast but not pushy and best part is the gave fun triangle crayons (so they do not roll off the table) and wicky sticks. Highly recommend for family’s and the menu is not just burgers or bar food.
We were on our vacation and celebrating our 3rd anniversary which was made memorable by our dining experience to the Chocolate Avenue Grill. The eclectic menu provided such wonderful options. We finished our meal with a delicious reeses cup cheesecake-Yum!!! Thanks again.
As usual the chocolate avenue does not disappoint. He eat here with our newborn twins and family and the food was great as usual. There are so many great choices to choose from and all the staff was polite and helpful. We dine here every time we are in Hershey!
We had a great experience there. I took my son for his 10th Birthday for a late dinner after being at Hershey Park all day. Even with a hiccup with the food, everything was taken care of and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Hershey.
