Chocolate Avenue Grill Ratings and Reviews
Open table had only 8:30 or later time slots for reservations. Certainly would have enjoyed an earlier dinner. We got there right on time and the place was pretty much empty. We were rushed and treated like we walked in minutes before the closing bell. Food was good and fresh. Yet I felt like we were not welcome or appreciated. That was disturbing and uncomfortable.
Delicious! Great portions, crafted flavors, friendly staff. Well worth leaving the hotel restaurants for!!!!! Highly recommended for those who appreciate good food. Scrumptious! Please check out my comments and pic on their Facebook review page. PS they are planning a fabulous bar to improve the already hip atmosphere. Can't wait. This will really put them on map even more. We are from the king of Prussia) Philly area so we are very familiar with the food scene. Enjoy.
Our meal was fantastic from start to finish. We had a reservation (Valentine's Day) and were seated right away. The Hummus Trio appetizer is great for sharing. Same with their flatbread appetizers. Soup of the Day was Crab Bisque, which was wonderful. The Pittsburgh Steak Salad was perfect. The steak was tender and prepared exactly as I ordered. The Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad my companion ordered was bountiful with chicken. The Caesar dressing was house made and described as perfect. Dessert was a slice of Triple Chocolate Cake. The chocolate mousse between the cake layers was heavenly.
I can highly recommend the Chocolate Avenue Grill.
Large selection. Good value. Scallops were plentiful, about a dozen! But the waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu. Our friends asked how many scallops and she said 3 or 4. When I ordered an espresso she wanted to know if I wanted it in my coffee. She was courteous, prompt but didn't rush us. She was probably new and will learn in time. The place was crowded. We couldn't get the time we wanted (a time slot between 6 to 7:30) on open table 3-4 days in advance.
The food was excellent!!!! My husband had a salad with grilled chicken and he could not finish it!!!! It was do big!!!! I had a grilled portobello and veggie sandwich that was excellent. We both had soup which was very tasty and plentiful. The staff was very professional , attentive and knowledgeable.!!!!! Smaller establishment and you are close to the other diners but the noise level was very low.
Definitely would go here again!!!!!
The chocolate avenue grill was above and beyond my expectations! The food was spectacular and reasonably priced. I got the Tuscan burger with chicken instead of beef and it was delicious! I was also very delighted that they had creme brûlée that evening since that is my favorite dessert. It was vanilla bean and it was amazing! I didn't have any alcohol but my mom had a mojito which she really enjoyed. I had both the pomegranate and mango iced teas which I would recommend for someone who doesn't want any alcohol. Overall it was really nice and I highly recommend it.
It was very busy when we went there. We were a few minutes early, and had to wait for a table, but they seated us as soon as one opened up. Glad we made a reservation! The food was plentiful and prepared well. We enjoyed our visit and will probably go back the next time we're in Hershey.
Siblings had great time.!! My brothers and sister try to get together for lunch bimonthly. This time we chose the Chocolate Avenue Grille and a good time was had by all. From the tasty adult beverages to the huge and delicious entree size salads, everything hit the spot. The crispy garlic wings were a big hit to get our appetite whetted. Kelly, our waitress, was very. Friendly and made excellent suggestions to make our dining experience even more enjoyable. We usually go to different restaurants, I don't think anyone will object if we return to the Chocolate Avenue Grille !!!
Great dining experience. Food was excellent. Very decorative for the holidays. Our server had great knowledge of the menu. My wife's portabello sandwich was exploding with flavor. And my Lobster risotto was top notch. Thank you again Chocolate Ave Grill for an awesome dining experience and our trip to your restaurant another great experience.
We went to Chocolate Ave Grill after visiting a museum in the area. I made reservations but we didn't need them because there were several open tables. The hostess accommodated our request for a booth which we were pleased about. I was impressed with their vegetarian options, which is the main reason I chose this place. Service was fast & attentive. The food was delicious! If I am in Hershey again, I would definitely return to this restaurant.
While I enjoyed my meal immensely, my spouse did not. In fact, until he finished purging it, he was quite miserable and I was quite concerned. While I hope our experience was an isolated event, as the establishment insists it must be with no cause that they can find, I can not recommend this place based on our single experience (it was an overnight trip with theater tickets that regretably started with dinner here) and we will not be returning.
