Great resturant. Great hostesses
Best Asian Fusion in LA! We celebrated our 23rd anniversary with my husband there and it was just perfect. Can't wait for the indoor setting to open up to go back and enjoy MORE of their delicious and exotic menu.
One of the top restaurants in America!! Always perfect. We will definitely return when the country truly reopens
One of our favorite LA-area restaurants, although the outdoor 'dining experience' which is basically roadside is less than ideal (notwithstanding I don't believe that they have a choice with CA restrictions). Certainly we will be back, once indoor dining is an option again.
Easily one of the best dinners I can remember. As an old school hit Restraunt, this place has still got it!
Always a great choice. Love the food. Looking forward to getting back in doors.
Good but not great as should be expected from Chinois. Initial staff stood around while we sat for 10 -15 waiting to order a drink. Once we got a server it was great.
Great local neighborhood spot.
Great food and friendly staff.
A must go in ocean park.
Food and service was amazing!
Ask for chase as your server - a great guy with great recommendations!
Creative, flavourful cuisine; amazing cocktails and great wine list; impeccable service!
Very good service. Food was good. The on the street dinning, and noise took away from the ambiance. I understand it’s the pandemic, but given the prices, the value is poor
Chinois, As always, has maintained its incredibly high standard for its culinary performance. the service outside literally on the street has been handled skillfully, and makes the ambience as good as one can hope. This is a must dine restaurant .
Best spot on Main Street, Santa Monica, always has been.
We went to Chinois during May 2021, so the dining was outdoors to accommodate for COVID safety protocols, but the food and service was fantastic. I ordered the sizzling catfish and duck fried rice.
Very nice to break the habit of dining at home.
Mario and his team made the evening extra special for my mom's 89th birthday, and the food was amazing, as always.
Excellent service and great food. The schezuan pancakes lacked flavor- bland, no spice; but Everything else was incredible! They need some attention to ambiance, particularly being in their location: time to drop some $$ on surroundings and signage, but we were very happy with the food and service.
The food was good, the service was terrible, although they did try and make up for the bad service with a free dessert. We were unfortunately sitting next to a very loud group of people and not the restaurant’s fault; Food was excellent
Every single thing on the menu was amazing. Service was super and we felt really cared for. Outdoor setup is great. All in, this was a tremendous experience. My kids, usually looking for chicken fingers, devoured all of the food, which is a great sign!
Food, service and accommodations were all on point 100%. The pandemic has not affected the quality of service or deliciousness of the food! Worth every dollar!
38 plus years still same bravo 👏
Amazing as always! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Energetic, fun and pretty
This is a neighborhood gem. We moved to this area 20 years ago, we keep coming back to Chinois for the excellent food, service and friendships we have made. The food is consistently excellent, and, please try the desserts, just fabulous, especially the Pavlova! We ate here just before the pandemic closed everything down, Wolfgang was there on a Sunday, greeted each table, we were delighted! So, yes, we are seated outside, not inside with the beautiful decor, we are comfortable, well taken care of, and happy they are seating us all once again! Cheers!
Food and service are both excellent. Chinese chicken salad and short ribs are the best.
Chinois is an old family favorite. The food is still excellent as is the service. We would have preferred the dining room, but the sidewalk was fine. We will be back, because it never disappoints.
Classic restaurant and have kept some of the long standing dishes. Still outdoors for now but was a nice evening. Hope to be back indoors soon to enhance the experience.
We have been dining there for over 30 years. Has always been and still is fabulous even in its modified version.
food and service was great, drinks overpriced i did not get my points with open table
Hands down best Chinese on the west side
Really enjoyed the lobster appetizer, chicken salad, sea bass, as well as the desserts. Restaurant had a very good wine list! Had a Sancerre that was very nice with the spicy food, as well as a Pinot Noir from a Sonoma Coast boutique winery. There was Pandemic seating on the street, which was kind of loud, but food and wine was worth the nuisance.
My favorite restaurant in Los Angeles area. Chinois chicken salad, a classic and always hits the spot. Duck fried rice with Shanghai lobster. All my go to dishes and I'll keep coming back!
Still the best in Santa Monica, CA!!!
We have been dining at Chinois for over 30 years. It’s always been fantastic. That’s why we continue to return.
Amazing food and service. We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Egg Noodles with vegetables, mushrooms, crispy spinach, egg rolls, Szechuan Beef, and warm chocolate fondant all delicious!
Never disappoints. Always worth our appreciation and applause.
Delicious food. We love the lobster and the stir fried mushrooms. A great taste treat!
Amazing food and cocktail selections! Wonderful flavour combinations; great service!
The soup was suppose to be catfish, shrimp and scallops. Turned out it was 85% calamari which I don't like unless it is fried. I had already had the calamari salad as an appetizer which was excellent. The soup didn't have much flavor. I would never order again.
Delicious, unique food. And the outside space was charming and well-distanced
It could not have been a better, more delicious, more delightful evening.
