Wolfgang Puck's second restaurant opened in 1983. A unique blend of Chinese and French fusion explodes with flavors unheard of before. Imitated but yet never captured to this day this fusion of flavors keeps you craving and coming back for more. The food is served family style, creating a fun sharing experience that brings people together. We had a delicious dinner. We had the vegetable spring rolls, the ribs appetizer and then the Szechuan Beef and the Duck Fried Rice. The maitre’ d advised us that it would be enough food and it absolutely was. Everything was presented beautifully, and was perfectly delicious! Then they brought me a little strawberry shortcake for my birthday! And that was presented beautifully and was delicious! Can’t wait to come back!

The evening was perfect! The food was outstanding as was the service. This is my favorite restaurant, I have eaten there many times, It has never disappointed! The Chinese Chicken Salad is the Best I have ever eaten.

Chinois is a true gem. Not in its 41st year, its quality, fun, yummy food is still unequaled. The service is impeccable - many servers have been here for a long time, and Bella still manages the venerable Wolfgang Puck Restaurant. While high end, this has also become a true neighborhood Gem. where people know each other - and the kitchen staff. Rene and his team are fun, the kitchen counter is still the best kitchen-table in town - and the food just is so good. While the classics like Shanghai Lobster simply never disappoint, the rotating new additions also always hit the mark. There are great restaurants in town, there is great Michelin fare. But to us, Chinois remains one of the best, most fun, most consistent Restaurants in town - we moved from LA to Bay Area some time ago, and still come back here every time we are back in town (in fact, we come back sometimes just to return to Chinois). In fact, we can't wait for next time. Kudos to the Chinois team!

Love, love, love coming here. The team are exceptional at what they do and make it look effortless. Wished we lived here so we could visit more often.

We love modern takes on Chinese and Indian food, when we saw the menu for this place, we were immediately interested. The restaurant claims to be a fusion between Chinese and something else. Unfortunately the food turned out to be something that a child would imagine Chinese food might taste like. The schezuan beef had no spice to it whatsoever and the dumplings were soggy and void of any character. The whole episode was entirely carried by the excellent service and sense of humor of our server. Thus restaurant claims to be fusion, I think this was more “fission” and the Chinese part got exploded away in the nuclear reactor. The other test of good place is how they keep the public facing areas like restrooms clean and you can guess how stuff is managed behind the scenes. The restroom was disgusting.

A wonderful evening from the warm welcome on arrival, through friendly professional service to delicious food. It was a joy and a delight from start to finish and we can’t wait to return.
