Chino is inspired by Chinese immigrants that came to South America from the southern province of Guangdong and Macau in the late 19th century. Due to lack of Asian ingredients, the Chinese adapted their cuisine with items available in the area, creating unique blends of Chinese cooking with Latin ingredients. They established “barrio Chinos” which translates to “Chinatown” in Latin American cities. Chino will transport people to this era of mystery and adventure.

Inspired by “barrio Chinos,” Uno Immanivong created Chino Chinatown, a destination for Chinese and Latin-influenced cuisine. The bar menu is motivated by the cocktail movement and features classic, hand-crafted drinks. The menu is a collaboration of Asian & Latin cooking styles and techniques.

Food was great but service was horrible. Cocktails were not good and questionable as to if alcohol was in the drinks. For the type of cuisine it is overpriced. More than likely won’t go back but we did enjoy the Duck Fat Fried Rice and the Chino Platter. Just overpriced.

Some of the best food we've tried. Great menu, great staff!

We were at in a high traffic area even though we made a reservation. Servers continuously tried to get past each other between our table and another table. The same server ran into me 3 times and the table next to us 3 times, which means we were startled 6 times! It's hard to eat when you feel like you're on a football field. The lobster shooters we just okay, the lobster itself had no flavor and was extremely tough. I ordered the Short Rib Drunken Noodles, something they are known for. The plate looked so sloppy. Way too much sauce, the veggies weren't chopped up into bite sized pieces and the short rib was so overcooked it was dry. Overall it was so disappointing. We took our meal home in hopes of enjoying it more in a nice environment but we actually hated the food more the second time. Won't be returning unfortunately. I love any kind of Asian fusion cuisine but this fell very short. Too bad because Trinity Groves is so cute!

We brought a group of 5 people and ordered the Chef Uno Family Dinner. It was more than enough food, we had a lot left over. Everything was incredibly delicious. There was nothing we would have substituted. We could not agree on which item was the best.

In addition to the mind blowing food, we had amazing service! I wish i could remember her name. But she was the blonde waitress for the round booths on Saturday night. She did a great job, very knowledgeable about the food and cocktails.

We tried a few of their cocktails. The mule with the pisco was a big hit as well as the snake charmer. The cocojito (like a mojito but with coconut water) was a little strange. But the regular mojito was really good.

The food came out fast. The music was neither too loud nor too quiet. Very nice atmosphere. I would love to go back for a date night.

One of my favorite restaurants - I come here as often as I can. Food is great, but lately service has been lacking. Last 3 or 4 times I've been, the restaurant is only 30% full, but we have to wait 15+ minutes for a server to come take our drink orders, then wait again for their return to take food orders. On one visit some people in our group were ordering two drinks at a time because it was taking 30+ minutes for the server to return. Still will come back though, food is great and large sized plates.

It has been a long time finding a restaurant that it hit on every level. It put it simply this place was amazing. The look, the feel, service and food were outstanding. I wish my hometown of Houston had something even close to this. The duckfat fried rice was incredible, along with the tour of chino.

It was a horrible experience because of the mean crappy waiter. I went their for my birthday with my family and server didnt even greet up. The only time we saw our waiter is when he came to take our order for drink and foods. We saw a bus boy more than our server. He never came to the table to ask how the food was, he didnt care enough to know how the food was. We felt very unwelcomed, so when it was time to pay we decide to not tip him good as for us tip is base on service and we were not satisfied. And the crazy part is as soon as i put the check tray down after signing and tipping this server look at the tip and ask us why did we tip so less and we told him because we didnt like the service. And the server had an audacity to tell us that we should go to a fast food joint to eat if we are not going tip more than 18% and when i told him that my tip is base on service he blame it on restaurant being busy and couldnt take care of it. That was very rude behavior, people who do not know how to treat there customer feel valued and at the same time behave rudely shouldnt be in a customer service business. The server name was Albert or something like that. Overall a horrible experience never coming back and never going to recommend anyone. It was a worst birthday dinner. I think you guys need to train people.

Water glasses were dirty on the table when we arrived and the service was slow. We weren’t in a hurry so it was ok. It gave us more time to chat and stare at other people, lol. Food was still great. Always a an interesting variety of food choices. Plus, the valet was on point that evening.

It was ok. Really busy around the time I went. That played a huge factor on service. I don’t recommend their wontons.

The service was good but the food was not. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked hours earlier, the steak was mushy... it was just bad. I was really looking forward to this place but I’ll never go back.

I don't know what it was about this visit to Chinos but the food seemed off. The glass ware was dirty and even the wine seemed a little funky. It was just weird. Service for this day was top notch.

We went to Chino for Valentine's dinner, and the food was delicious. We always prefer to sit at the bar when dining out, but the bar seats at Chino were very uncomfortable. The bar area appeared to be understaffed for the evening. We were only one of two couples seated at the bar, however the bartender remained quite preoccupied at the service well. This led to rushed interactions and slow service, which dulled the experience for us. I would definitely recommend the food, though.

My guest and I only ordered the appetizer sampler so this isn't a full review. The drum stick and the sliced pork were the best. I was underwhelmed with the duck spring rolls but it was all tasty.
It was a quiet night in the restaurant and service was good

The food was awful. We paid $27 for this appetizer that had a flame in the middle of it. The food was already cooked but it was like it was from the frozen section of Walmart. We then got the orange chicken and I took 2 bites and couldn’t even finish it. It tasted like a frozen chicken breast with hot sauce on it. Peiwei makes a better orange chicken. We waited 30+ minutes for our appetizer and the waitress apologized and said she had taken care of it. Nope, we will paid full price. Overall, not pleased. It was NYE and there were maybe 7 tables occupied. The other restaurants were packed. I guess this explains why. We won’t be back.
