Inspired by “barrio Chinos,” Uno Immanivong created Chino Chinatown, a destination for Chinese and Latin-influenced cuisine. The bar menu is motivated by the cocktail movement and features classic, hand-crafted drinks. The menu is a collaboration of Asian & Latin cooking styles and techniques.
We made a reservation here and they are closed for “maintenance“. Thank goodness it was close to several other options. Ended up at Souk.
Service was good, especially given that it was Valentine's day. The dumplings were over cooked. The ramen was a huge miss for me on flavor, but the orange chicken was okay.
It was closed, just for the day, and I didn’t know that. So we didn’t eat there. Was very disappointed.
The food was simply delicious! We can’t wait to go back. I can’t believe that we’ve lived in Dallas 2 years and this is our first (of many) meals here!
We have been there numerous times and always enjoy the food, the drinks and the atmosphere.
Keep up the good work!
A bad start that never got better. We weren't greeted at the door and asked a busy server to seat us. She was sweet and helpful, but one of our appetizers (duck eggrolls) came out very cold. Our server brought hot ones and removed them from our bill. The food was good, but the overall experience wasn't.
Food was old
Service was sub par
Absolutely fantastic meal - as always!
The food was overcooked and poor quality. I was very disappointed.
Good location slightly tricky to find. The host seemed a little agitated when I asked to moved to less crowded area and our server would disappear for long periods of time. I had to ask for him to take my order after we had waited. Food was amazing, delicious and flavorful. The service wasn't so bad that I wouldn't recommend it because it was just a little slow. Kudos otherwise.
Outstanding food. The lunch menu was great but you can also order from the main menu which we did. The spicy shrimp noodle dish was outstanding but the best dish on the menu is the duck fat fried rice. Chef Uno is the best!
Our waitress was one of the best waitresses we've had! She was very kind, funny and easy to talk to. I wish I remembered her name.
I made reservations and asked for a picture of Megan the Stallion on the table and they actually did it, which was surprising, but I am very happy that they did that.
The food was good. It wasn't worth the high prices though. Other than that everything else was good.
Food is always great! Service was a bit slow and there was a language barrier. Overall good becasue the food was great. Side note: Because of the Birds that are outside tables should be cleaned quicker as to not attack more birds as you are dining.
Short ribs were really good and price point wasn't redic. We also had the sesame chicken which we would also recommend if you're craving something traditional.
The atmosphere was nice. The service was great. However, the food was overpriced and just edible. Chicken in the Drunken Noodles was dry and hard. “Seared” tuna on the nachos was well done and bone dry.
Service was great but the food had no flavor.
Food is always good! A great brunch or dinner spot.
The dishes we had were incredibly flavorful and tasty. Will definitely be back again soon.
Nice spot in Trinity Groves with a great patio area. Went with a couple of friends and we all had different drinks which were all so good and nicely made. Food was delicious! Definitely will be back to try some other menu items and drinks.
We all are super busy and wanted a fun, different meal.
We all tried something different and shared bites with each other.
We were all impressed with the food.
We sat in a large circular booth and had an easy time conversing with each other.
Upon entering the restaurant the lady behind the bar told me that they were no longer seating. I politely responded that we had a reservation. She looked at me and had no words. Before she could responded any further, I decided that I would decline to dine at the establishment because of the rude response I received. I didn’t want to be a victim of a bad food experience.
Just had our first visit and loved it! The duck egg rolls and pan fried dumplings were cooked perfectly and the homemade mango lemonade is amazing! I had the ramen and my daughter tried the orange chicken. Both dishes tasted as we expected and our only regret was not being able to take our leftovers home as we were “ staycationing” in Dallas. We will definitely be back to try new dishes soon!
Love the duck fat rice! And the drunken noodles are great! So is the sesame chicken and everything else. Great food. Fabulous service!
The food was very satisfying but on this occasion the drinks were watered down. I only ordered a sangria and it tasted like soda and lime instead of wine.
The orders were not written down, so only some things came out correctly, if at all, and the server did not visit much at all unless tracked down inside. The food was good, but the service could absolutely be improved.
Really enjoyed the food but we sat outside and the flies wanted to eat as well. I hate flies. Not the restaurant fault but it made the experience less.
Latin Asian fusion food. Delicious. Waiter was a big help in choosing our meal.
Good food. One of the waitresses was chewing gum. A total no-no!
Our service was great but food was just okay. Would maybe try again in the future...
First visit to Chino and it was outstanding. The server was sharp, friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy working at Chino. I had the Ramen noodles with shrimp and I couldn't finish half the meal (got the rest to go). My friend had Drunken Noodles and had to take a large portion home. We both love Aisan cuisine and this is one of the best in Dallas. You have to give it a try.
The food was bland. Nobody was happy with their food.
Great service good food, fair value. We will go again.
Comfortable, knowledgable staff. Great food and drinks. Plus, the Happy Endings...desserts! Great Wall of Chocolate, a must.
For the most part we really enjoyed the food! We liked the wonton and elote appetizers the best. We also ordered the nachos and steak kabobs. Those were not as good. The nachos just tasted like pepper and the steak kabobs came out raw the first time and had to be sent back.
Pace of meal and service was "off" a bit. We arrived early - 15-20 minutes before our reservation. Thinking it may be an opportunity to enjoy a drink or two, maybe before ordering. We ordered drinks and appetizers simultaneously. Apps arrived before drinks, which sat on the bar. Entrees came out quickly, too. We were finished about 15-20 minutes after our reservation!
But we go for the food - it was excellent, creative, well prepared. Everything I expected from a Trinity Grove restaurant. Service was professional and friendly (sometimes that's hard to pull off). I highly recommend trying Chino if you haven't. I'll try to go back again soon.
Food was tastey, but unevenly so. Best dishes were the Short Ribs and Sesame Chicken.
Noodle dishes and pineapple fried rice were unfortunately less great.
The noodle dish that was recommended was way too salty. Must have poured the soy sauce in...it was so salty that we had to ask for extra rice to eat with it. The duck fried rice was a bit salty too but edible. The duck egg roll appetizer was pretty good. The atmosphere was good but I would not come back for the food.
My server, Lorenzo, was great! We will come again 😊
The food feels like a scam. Eggrolls were cold in the middle, the duck fried rice was a dish you could get anywhere, and the fruit that they added to a previously frozen chocolate cake fought with the cake tooth and nail. One of the managers and our server did what they could to make it right but WOOF, the food was comically bad.
They ran out of utensils and napkins and half our food order went missing. The staff seemed to have no clue what was going on and didn’t even attempt to rectify the awful service. We had to ask for basic things several times and at one point out water was taken away for no reason.
