There is no fusion of dishes nor compromise on classical recipes, all are prepared with the freshest ingredients and traditional spices and flavourings. No mono-sodium-glutomate (MSG) shall be used.
The decoration of China Tang will evoke a romantic sense of art deco of the thirties. At the same time, there will be an abundance of Chinoiserie as well as a collection of art from both.

Best Cantonese restaurant in London! Never disappoints!!
The most amazing Cantonese food in London perfect duck and pork was excellent david soup was tasty and our waiter Tek was amazing efficient and friendly
Always fantastic and always consistent. Best Peking Duck in London..
We went to celebrate my sister birthday nice but on the expensive side for the little dishes you get.
Very nice location, delicious food, pefect service, place to be !!
Everything about this restaurant is spectacular! The food was full of flavour and was delicious. Celebrated my birthday in amazing style with great food!
Had a nice dinner in lovely setting, food was nice service was good felt cosy and comfortable
I visited China Tang for my gf birthday and loved it. The food was delicious, we ordered Schezuan Prawns, Black pepper Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken and egg fried rice. Everything was delicious, and impeccable service. The restaurant made an effort to present dessert we ordered with a candle and happy birthday message which was really sweet and thoughtful. Highly recommend but it is on the pricey side. £150 for 2ppl (without alcohol)
Amazing experience, amazing food and amazing service. Can not fault anything! Book away guys.
A total disappointment. I have been going there for 10 yrs but never again. Signature dish - Crispy Duck was not available. We order HALF roasted duck but only 6 small pieces arrived with the pancakes. The lobster noodles was soggy , oversized and without palate ! This place needs a revamp
After being sat at our table we waited 30 minutes until we saw a menu
this was only after walking back to reception and asking for someone to look after us
the manager did come over and apologise but the damage had already been done.
food came out quickly due to our long wait but at 10.40 it was a bit late to enjoy
Dear Mr Harding, I am pleased you enjoyed the food and ambience on your recent visit but disappointed that you were let down by the service. After being seated at 9pm for your 9:30pm reservation, the waiter should have anticipated your desire to order promptly. I am truly sorry that did not happen, but glad that your meal was served by 9:30 along with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne. I do hope this won't deter you from dining with us in the future and that we may redeem your faith in us.
Excellent service and food🤗
Great vegetarian selection
Love coming here
Superb atmosphere with quality service and great food
I had a great time. they made my birthday special. highly recommended
Amazing food quality, absolutely delicious, went twice in 4 days. I also lost my ring and they found it and kept it for me, which is incredibly rare in London.
Place is lovely but food was very poor, had no flavour at all. We were very disappointed
Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind comments about our interiors. Most concerned however that you did not enjoy the traditional Cantonese cuisine and found it lacking in flavour, as most feedback from our guests is quite the contrary. Please do contact me direct, Nathalie.email@example.com with the details of your booking so that I may investigate what may have occurred on the occasion that you dined with us. Thank you in advance for your time. Kindest regards Nathalie
Lovely venue and amazing service - the food very good but I wasnt really happy with the dim sum while mail peking duck and beef stir fry were really good
The food had a great taste, presentation was moderate to low, table visits were frequent during our meal, with waiters topping up the glasses etc, and enquiring about the food quality, but when we were handed the desert menu, no one attended to take out order, after 15 minute wait, we reluctantly 'grabbed' the attention of a passing waiter, the desert delivered it was ideal. overall the experience is relaxed.
Beautiful surroundings, friendly service and high quality Chinese food make China Tang a treat. Dishes were well prepared, seasoned and using high quality ingredients- we enjoyed a dim sum lunch which had a good choice of vegetarian options also. Staff were friendly, attentive and made good suggestions about the food. Recommended for a high quality Chinese meal in Central London.
Always a nice experience in China tang. Lovely staff and amazing food :)
The service was great but the food has been changed since my last time one year ago . The quality of food and the way it is cooked is not as tasty as it was back then
Dear Guest , I am so sorry you felt the food quality and preparation had changed since your last visit. Head Chef Chong Choi Fong, who has led China Tangs kitchen for the past 8 years continues to lead the kitchen brigade. Please do contact me direct, Nathalie.firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know which dishes you felt had changed. I would be grateful for the opportunity to investigate it as our aim is to ensure our guests have enjoyed all elements of their dining experience with us.
We loved it! Great spot. Would definitely recommend
Sommelier was too young/professional experience was a bit poor
Very buzzy place with some of the best Chinese food in London
The overall quality of this restaurant is in keeping with being part of the Dorchester. However as we entered down to the dining and bar area it was very noisy, to the point you loudly. The aircon was hit and miss. The place was fully packed with some dinners more dressed for the gym then a place of this high standard. The service was on point and food delivered within normal time frame. But for me the food standard was not as high as I expected given its location. It was ok.
Very good service and food was great the dry spice chicken dish was quite harshly spicy but the other dishes were good esp the hot n sour soup
Friendly reception, beautiful bar, excellent service.
Extensive menu, well staffed with knowledgeable and helpful waiters. Prompt response to settling bill. Separate table for two made for a memorable experience.
Celebrated my sons birthday with the family
As usual food, was amazing Dim Sum selection to begin with tasty piping hot, professionally served
Mains were again served with perfection A big thank you to all the team who looked after us in particular the sommelier who serves the finest Chablis in London
Still remains the finest restaurant in London
The food is OK, it is really noisy and packed. Tables are close to one another , so I could easily hear the conversation of other customers. The waiter is quite attentive, food is ok, not very traditional Cantonese food, more towards British style Chinese food, satay chicken and prawn ? A bit weird
The claypot dish taste nice, I like the aubergine. The chef recommendation is quite expensive but taste only OK , we had the curry squid and fishball, if tastes very British.
Dim Sum was good but mains was highly disappointing. Service was slow even though we visited during the afternoon and they were not very busy at all. Initially presented with metal chopsticks that were painful to use. Decor was not to my liking and staff uniform also not nice on the eyes.
51st Wedding Anniversary
Best Peking duck I’ve ever had! Food and service was excellent and time between courses was just right, we didn’t feel rushed at all and didn’t have to wait too long for each course. Overall a great experience and will definitely go back
Great service, great food, and the atmosphere was top notch. One of my favorite restaurant's while in London. When in London, its always my first choice for dinner.
The dimsum selection was rather ordinary. There are so many other variations and they offer only the common ones. Same with the tea. I asked for a tea list and they recommended JASMINE which is just a usual tea offered at probably every Chinese place. I expected a unique blend worthy of the spectacular surroundings. No one ever came to pour my tea from the pot and in fact no servers ever stopped by my table except to take my order and bring bill.
The setting is beautiful although you may have trouble finding it as you have to go behind a obscure door then down a flight of steps. I probably wouldn’t go again.
Nice celebration choice, food quality meets price and its reputation. Definitely will come back again.
A goto place for Chinese indulgence, all dishes are mastered and spot on! Its more for the taste than grandeur. A great recommended restaurant.
Perfect meal with wonderful service - I have been many times & every time the meal has been absolutely delicious
Ambiance - fantastic. Building, decor, staff attentiveness and as a place to go this was great.
Food - we went for the dim sum. Costs start at £6 for veg, £7 to 12 for nonveg. It is very very standard dim sum that you can get any where else in London for a lot less. There is none of the exceptional flavour or produce that you can get at places like royal China club or yauatcha. The dim sum prions seemed smaller than a lot of places also!
Go for the place, don't go for the food
Its the best Chinese food in UK definitely.50 words is too long
Four family members went for Lunch
3 days later we are still discussing how amazing the food was
The venue is obviously spectacular as is the service
We’ve booked for a family and friends gathering for 10 just before Christmas and we cant wait
Dear Nigel, such glowing praise, thank you very much! So glad you enjoyed your lunch with us and we look forward to welcoming you back in December, if not before. kindest regards Nathalie
