Everything we ate was really delicious.
The portions are not large for sure. I personally appreciate being able to taste multiple dishes, but either way... be aware.
Wanted to check out one of Jose Andres Las Vegas restaurants since I’m a fan of his DC restaurants. The service was prompt, polite, and helpful. Loved the flaca margarita, the chips and salsa, and sticky mango dessert. Liked the taste/flavors of the Dan Dan Mian but think maybe the dish sat too long after plating and before arriving at the table: the noodles were a clumpy, glutinous mass, and almost at room temp.
This restaurant is a very unique combination of Chinese and Mexican food. The menu has so many great options, we wanted to try them all. Our server was a lovely young lady named Ofelia. She helped us narrow down our selections, providing a thorough description of each. Every dish we picked was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant for a unique dining experience.
The food was very tasty! The combination of Chinese and Mexican is a great idea and makes for a great variety of choices.
Tables are a little close together for my liking. Food was good and wait staff were excellent.
I've been here several times over the last few years; first couple of times was absolutely amazing...since them it has been in slow decline. This last time was quite disappointing. Menu keeps changing and is less special or inspiring, especially for the price. Food is OK. I had the Dan Dan noodles and the sauce was super gummy. The service also left much to be desired. I have a feeling next year I'll see something different in this spot.
The staff are well trained and attentive. The Food is on another level. The Silencio Taco, the Dim Sum, just great food. If you are adventurous, this is the place that will not let you down.
We were a party of 3 having lunch during CES in Las Vegas. Seating is mostly community seating on benches. The dishes are good for sharing. We had Dam Dam noodles, cold Beijing noodles, sui mei assortment, Xailongbau and won ton. The service wasn't great, but admittedly the restaurant was packed for CES.
Food was amazing!! Highly recommend the noodles and excellent mezcal list!
The service was perfect. Loved the variety of options and the wait staff helped us through the options.
Drinks and food were very slow to come out. It took 20 minutes for us to receive our drinks!
This was pur second visit. The first time we chose the tasting menu whch was wonderful. This time we ordered from the menu and were not disappointed. The 20 vegetable rice is always a must have. "When Pigs Fly" was delightful as were our fish and pork taco choices. But, for us the highlight is the sea foam margarita. Lovely.
Attention to detail great staff Amazing food by chef Carlos Santos Cruz, great costumer service by marketing manager Ms. Keri Moore and last for not least wonderful service by waiter Kevin and his busses Alan.
We will be back for sure
Interesting concept. Little bites and dishes to share. Everything tasted good. The only complaint is there are three kitchens and food comes out unevenly. One dishes comes, you wait. Another comes, you wait...
The terracotta warrior dessert is a must try.
Make a reservation on Open Table to avoid the 30+ minute wait on a week night. I would eat here again.
Service started out slow but picked up. Food was just ok. Best part of the meal was the guacamole and chips. There are so many places in Vegas I doubt we would ever return.
Absolutely brilliant at every turn - what sounds like a strange blend works really well - and every taste - from salad to drinks to other parts of the meal - was amazing. We did the $45 tasting menu and it was worth every penny
Great place to eat. Highly recommend the Mojo shrimp and tamal rojo. The wonton was great except for the noodles weren't cook thouroughly.
Excellent food and service. Flavor was great. Dishes exceeded my expectations.
Anniversary dinner reservations. Food was so good we returned for lunch two days later.
Went for NYE weekend and my birthday. The special menu was outstanding! Must must must try the churros dipped in hot chocolate. All courses were incredible and the servers went the extra mile to make our evening. I never write all five star reviews, but this one earned it.
The service and food were excellent. Can’t wait for next time. Thank you Catarina.
Food was delicious. We had issues with service but they went over and beyond to comp us drinks, and item we waited an hour for and dessert. I was impressed about the comp items but we got antsy sitting for two hours dining! All food was well prepared and delicious. I would go back for sure.
Wish the chairs had backs
Awesome! Great restaurant concept, great service and the best food! Every entree was a different explosion of flavor. EXCELLENT!!!
I expected some fusion cuisine but found either purely Mexican or purely Chinese dishes. The food itself was very good. But I didn't find the same level of innovation as I did in China Chilcano (in DC). That said, I love all of Jose Andres' restaurants. Zaitinya (in DC) remains my most favorite. Please open one in San Francisco or Berkeley!
Bad service, great food
Food was excellent
Wow! We were surprised and impressed. The lettuce cups are not to be missed... the best I've ever had, I think. Spicy, but soooo good. Wings were great. Fried fish taco, the albacore ceviche, everything was good, except unfortunately, the last thing we had was 18 Monk Noodles, which were disappointing compared with everything else. oh... and I also had a Mezcal Negroni, which was so good, and I ended up ordering two!
Vacation in from Tennessee
Always love this restaurant. It’s fun, has a nice energy, and the food is terrific. Also, the margaritas are wonderful. I visit every time I’m in Vegas.
Uneven food and service made China Poblano a bit of a disappointment. Some tasty dishes and drinks—the flaca margarita, the carnitas tacos, and the chips and ceviche, in particular—couldn’t make up for spotty service from everyone but our waitress. Dishes on the tasting menu were brought out of sequence and poorly explained.
The manager did do a great job of responding to our concerns and we were even brought a free dessert but by that point we were ready to put China Poblano behind. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend the restaurant to other diners. I would go back for takeout tacos but not another sit down experience.
Sad. I would love to support Jose Andres but China Poblano needs to improve mightily before I’d consider returning. The idea of Asian-Latin fusion is great but the execution left a lot to be desired.
Never disappoints - one of our go to’s every time we visit
Great restaurant from one of my favorite chefs, José Andrés. Most items are meant to be shared and are exceptionally delicious. The service was on point and the ambience fantastic as always!
Dishes were in small portions but I think taste was there. Vege fried rice was good.
If they have a walk up window, you win in all areas...PERIOD! Located in the Cosmo, the food is not fancy, but tasty and creative. The coconut ceviche is not only delish, it's creative. The fried rice is hands down a must order. Cocktails are tasty, at least the ones I ordered. We ordered both mex and chin food. The concept of mex and chin are awesome! Although, I've done this at home for years, I'm glad someone brought it to life in an actual restaurant. Tacos were good, but a too salty for my tastebuds. I will say, you can get this good anywhere USA and it's basically better there. This is tapas style, so you can share and basically go to another place if your craving something else. This is simply a sit and talk kind of place where your not really going for the fine dining. Though it's still good!
The portions are ALL small, even the ones that are not part of the tasting menu...we were not made aware that portions were all small. We left hungry and unsatisfied, not to mention it's not cheap.
Very good food, small plates to share, we got the vegetable fried rice added shrimp, bbq pork dim sum and pork noodles. Portions were a bit small but delicious!
Food was good, portions were very small for Dan Dan Noodles, potsticker appetizers came out last, service/cleanliness was so-so, woman/waitress brought out unwrapped/open chopsticks...everything else was okay.
