Great food and our server was outstanding!
God bless Jose Andres and the Salt Air Margarita. Love the dumplings...ALL of them. The duck tounge taco is excellent! Ants climbing a tree was surprisingly spicy and delicious!
the food was good, didnt really care for the atmosphere, and the cafeteria style seating...... just didnt love this place, it is good, but not great. If you want a quick meal the 20 veggie rice was pretty good.
The outside of the restaurant is so cool. On each side are stands to purchase Chinese or Mexican street food. We had the when pigs fly!!!!amazing. Soft and flavorful. The vegetable fried rice was awesome. I loved the fried bite of sweet potato! The wait staff is knowledgeable and efficient.
Inside Cosmopolitan hotel, so higher prices than off-Strip. Good for group with members of varying tastes, savory or extra spicy, etc - wide variety of interesting food choices. Consider request extra chopsticks or serving tools if eating family-style. 2nd time went, should have asked for dishes to be served in more logical order - for example, green beans came nearly last (too bad, as they would have complemente earlier 2 wonton dishes). Friendly (unpretentious) service.
We had visited the restaurant a couple years ago and really enjoyed ourselves. This time the food was quite mediocre. The soup which is basically Won Ton was tasteless. We mentioned this to both our server and the manager. They basically agreed with us but didn't take it off the bill which I thought they probably should do. The Server said "well that is why I recommend the chilli oil" to which I responded well I asked for it when you suggested that, but you didn't bring it. Just wasn't blown away.
Great mezcal margaritas
Excellent, fast service. Delicious, flavorful small plates to share. Great price for the quality. Highly recommended.
Food is good but service is EXTREMELY slow and not good. Needs to be worked on a lot.
We went the Chinese route so I can only speak to those dishes, which were universally not good and had absolutely nothing to do with Chinese flavors. Would not recommend.
I’ve been there three times and always a good time with great food!
Waitress was so good! Loved her energy, knowledge, and personality
One of my favorite restaurant in Vegas!! Amazing and authentic food. My favorite dish is the golden pigs and this place is the only restaurant in Vegas that has it!
Was disappointed, the wonton soup (not called that) was too fishy, the portions were very small .
The Chef’s Vegan Tasting Menu was fabulous. We especially liked the taco course, but every course was stunning. One of our party enjoyed the accompanying great cocktails. Highly recommend.
Samatha provided outstanding service. She knew the menu well and was helpful. We ordered several dim sum dumplings and soup. The food was hot. It was very average. The cost was $100 with tip for two people. The table next to us got tacos which appeared small and were eaten quickly. They also got guacamole and chips. The guacamole was mixed table side. It was made to order. The guys at the table got it loaded with everything. They said it was very good. This is a super casual restaurant where most people were in shorts and a t shirt. It serves both Mexican and Chinese food.
China Poblano is best known for their fusion of Mexican and Chinese flavors and they truly hit a home run on the authenticity and quality. Xiao Long Bao is a must try, 20 vegetable fried rice will leave you wanting to take another order to go and the salt air margarita is to die for. Order any Dim Sum and you will not be disappointed. Tacos, ceviche mole and mojo balance out a creative menu that can appease anyone and everyone
Slow services, they were busy and needed more bodies on the floor. We each got our food at different times and it was awkward eating in front of each other because of that. They were all from the same kitchen also (Mexican)... was kind of silly. Will keep this in mind if we want to return on a business meeting :(
Amazing dim sum!!! Guacamole was average but all other food was amazing
Food was delicious. Handmade guacamole at our table was fabulous. I didn't care for the special air margarita, the foam was weird and very salty, had to force myself to drink it since it was too expensive to waste. Waitress was nice but difficult to understand.
Superior service , waiter was extremley knowledga le about tequila. Great menu optiona within thems of chinese / mexican . Great palet cleansar for my flight of tequilas .
Interesante combinación de dos culturas gastronómicas. Platos repletos de sabores con un guacamole fantástico
Sorprende que sólo tengan cerveza Corona light y no la normal
Barra agradable con servicio un poco lento para no estar lleno el restaurante
Great place! The drinks were not so good. Food is great!
Good food and decor. Wish service had been as good as the food, hence the 4 stars. Was surprisingly slow for what appeared to be a more than half empty restaurant.
I crave the palmita salad with tamarind- it's heavenly- this was my 4th visit over the past 1-1/2 years- we had a vegan with us and had a difficult time finding vegan food in vegas and she loved her dinner. We will be back!
This place was fantastic! We had the vegan taster menu and we have never had a meal as good as this! The food was fresh and bursting with flavour! The staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating. All were knowledgable and had tasted the menu themselves so could give recommendations. Highly recommend this place!!
Good food, small plates. Great for sharing, fun atmosphere.
Made a reservation to go here for my birthday — the hostess confirmed we’d get a complimentary dessert. Our waitress never said anything about it, it took way too long to get food (in fact some food never came so it had to be re-ordered well after everyone had finished their meal), and our bill was charged incorrectly despite our best efforts to ensure it was correct. At that point, it didn’t make much sense to stay and pay for dessert there when we could go elsewhere and have a way better experience. Overall very disappointing, especially considering it was the place we had chosen for my birthday celebration and the entire situation was a bit of a mood killer.
Unique menu but very delicious. Enjoyed the table side guacamole and air salt margarita! Was not a fan of the bench seating situation but other than that, great experience!
Awesome food! Vegetable fried rice, the tacos, the Chinese Street sandwich simply amazing! Best taco ever!
Food was excellent. Lots of options, and blend of Asian/Hispanic was very tasty. "Family style" is best, to be able to try lots of dishes. Lively ambiance. Service was great too. Reservation required. Hostess a bit of an attitude though.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu at China Poblano. Great amount of delicious food for a great price. Would highly recommend.
Had a great time, the twenty vegetable fried rice was great. The Beijing Glass dish was very refreshing!
The seats are ottmans and don’t have backs, which was uncomfortable. Only the tables against the wall have a back so not everyone can relax and sit back. The taco shell I had was rubbery and chicken was heavily charred and dry as a bone. One of my fellow diners wanted gluten free options and we found their gluten free menu was quite misleading, and they didn’t have some of them available anyway, including soy sauce. The waitstaff had to be asked to fill up our water glasses several times through the meal and didn’t monitor the table appropriately. They did not allow substitutions and we were told they kitchen doesn’t time orders and stuff just comes out when it’s ready, creating an awkward experience for those waiting for a dish they ordered. I will never eat at this place again and strongly recommend going to Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel if you want great food for a good value with excellent service for casual dining.
The noodles were bland and the tacos are over priced and the ingredients don't blend well.
We really liked China Poblano and would definitely go back. It’s great for sharing and a price-conscious dinner out (compared to most nice Vegas Casino restaurants). A good ambiance and great service. We really liked most of the dishes we ordered (bbq pork steam buns, pozole, and a noodle dish). The sopes and mole sauce on the papas fritas left a little to be desired. If you like salted margaritas, you have to try the sea salt foam margarita! China Poblano will be on my go-to list when visiting Vegas.
Authentic and creative cuisine that is fit for many special diets! Try all that you can! I love the vegetarian tasting menu! Wow! Great fresh veggies in the dishes so you’ll feel full but not guilty!
We love the restaurant at Cosmopolitan and will keep coming back.
We were a group of
Six and all of our various selections were not great. Underflavored, over salted, and beef not cooked as ordered. One high note was the salsa was the best I’ve had- roasted smoky flavor was really good. Service was good and environment is fun. Sadly we won’t return. Too many other great choices at the Cosmo.
So happy we took the advice from friends and tried China Poblano. It was fabulous! We had the best server, Corrine, who helped us make delicious selections from their extensive menu. I also have to recommend the Shiso Margarita -- not too sweet with some heat. We are hooked -- cannot wait to go back!
