Classy, low key Chinese and Mex menu, reasonably priced. Delish food. Great service. Limited Gluten free options
Great atmosphere, surroundings and big portion sizes. The salt air martini was great.
Phenomenal food and service!
The food is always awesome! It was busy and the waiter was harried, so we didn’t get the attentive service like we usually do.
This restaurant is great, not to expensive, food was great, a mixture of Spanish and Chinese.
We came at around 4 before the dinner rush, so we got a great table. I will be back again.
Pretty inconsistent overall. Food was ok. The carnitas tacos we're great. Service was so slow and not good. Really inconsistent treatment from table to table. Overall, hard pass.
Always a phenomenal experience. We usually sit at the bar, excellent service and hospitality. Food is insanely delicious, cocktails off the charts, mango sticky rice is killer.
Best concept in Vegas hands down.
The food was excellent. The service was great. We didn’t like the long wait time for food.
We went on our first night in Vegas and had a great time! The cocktails were creative and delicious, the food was wonderful, and the staff took great care of us. We had made a reservation, given that it was both of our birthdays and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent meal and birthday celebration. We will be back!
Great food as Jose’s restaurants always are. Luis was a great server. Thank you.
Small portions. Small menu with few options. Amazing flavors.
Best meal we had on this three-day trip to Vegas. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Waiter was very helpful with advice a tips, and he food was fantastic. We had Margaritas to start, nice and potent. I really recommend the soup dumplings and the other pork and shrimp dumplings. Our friends had never had soup dumplings before and were hooked. DanDan noodles were just OK, as were the Ants Climbing a Tree noodles. So maybe go for non-noodle dishes. We did not have dessert or wine but everything looked good. We recommend the place, you will enjoy it.
Loved this fusion menu. Can't wait to go back and try more menu offerings.
This was not our first time at China Poblano and next time we visit, we will eat there again. One change for the better from last time was the speed of service was much better this time around than in previous visits. Our ordering was prompt and the food came out within 5-10 minutes. I ordered from both menu (Mexican and China) and the street sandwich from the China menu was the only thing that took a tad bit of time (maybe 10 mins). The food taste when it comes to the Mexican Street Tacos is the most authentic food I have been able to find in the USA. The tacos are a little bigger than the street tacos you will get in Mexico, so know that having 3-4 tacos will be plenty to fill you up. Obviously since you order them individually, you are welcome to order additional tacos during your setting. The street sandwich that I ordered from the China menu is definitely something to try out. It was amazing! The best way I can describe the taste is when I used to get a bbq sandwich from my local state fair....which I can say I have not had or tasted in many years. Two or Three of these would definitely fill you up. Overall, this is my wife and I favorite casual restaurant in Vegas.
most fabulous! great colorful atmosphere, really good service and the food flavors - so tasty!
I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best meal we had in Vegas. We ordered the cocktail experience (4 cocktails of the bartender’s choosing) and we were not disappointed! The dim sum was incredible and somehow, Mexican food and Chinese food work perfectly together!
Definitely going back to China Poblano on our next visit!
We were there on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Our server Samantha was very helpful and attentive. She explained the menu to us. We ordered Xiaolongbao, which was surprisingly good, served properly with thin ginger and red vinegar. The Twenty Vegetable Fried Rice was tasty and the tiny tofus were fresh. Portion was big and great for sharing. The Bistec was average with unusual taste, but we loved the mushroom on the side. Portion was very small, just 2 slices of beef, not enough for sharing.
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and pricing was reasonable. Next time we'll order two Xiaolongbao and the Fried Rice only.
The food was so good. A group of 6 of us tried many different dishes. My favorites were the guacamole, the Caesar Salad, the fried rice and Mongolian beef. A definite must go to when in Vegas.
We selected the Las Vegas Restaurant Week menu. The blend of Mexican and Chinese food was phenomenal. Kevin, our server, did a great job explaining the chef’s thoughts regarding the pairing of the dishes. We will definitely return.
Very wonderful dining experience. Staff was great, especially Elana who checked on us often to see how we were enjoying the meal. We started with the salt air margaritas -- what an unusual concept .. even had a second one each!! We opted for the 8 course tasting menu and were not disappointed. Every dish offered was delicious and our particular favorites, beside the salsa, were the shrimp mojo and the 20 vegetable fried rice. We look forward to returning and trying other things on the expansive menu. Kudos to Chef Jose, not only for this conecpt, but also for his work comabatting hunger in disaster areas around the world.
Fourth time there and it continues to be one of our favorites. Great food, venue, service and vibe. Great value and place you will feel very comfortable and at ease.
Amazing food and better service - would definitely recommend!
Tacos, tamales and noodles all very good, and service was over the top.
Seated quickly. Great service. Interesting and tasty choices. A solid option.
We have eaten here several times and the food is always delicious. The service is usually great as well. This visit was an exception. We were seated near the area that all the waitstaff congregate and could hear them very plainly complaining about personal problems and being unprofessional on the restaurant floor. As our food was delivered, the waitstaff was not as friendly or professional as we expect from this establishment. Even though the food was still good, we will probably not return to this restaurant because of this experience and the downgrade to the employees there.
Great service Just the food was bland.
Horrible quality of food. Salty sauces will give you a corroded arteries. Not worth to try. The Asian blended foods with Mexican flavor was not a great combination. Try “noodles in Belaggio” worth the lines. These guys will need to do something about the quality of food. All the. dishes tasted fish sauce. The only good thing was their hot sauce.
My husband & I enjoyed the Tasting Experience. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was fantastic and we had a hard time deciding what was each of our personal favorites.
Visited Vegas and this place came highly recommended. The Jose salt air margarita for $14 wasn’t anything to rave about. I barley drank my drink and not once did the server or manager ask how the margaritas where. Our appetizer, the fundido was good and there were pieces of chorizo added for extra money. No offer of extra tortillas, even though they could see we still had more to enjoy. Good thing we ordered chips and salsa. My friend did the tour and it was nice to try the various items, however he wasn’t a fan of one item that had a piece of gold flake on it. For me I wanted to try a little bit of everything. The chips and salsa was good, the bar Gow was 6 small bite sized pieces for $14. They were a perfect steam and texture. I then had 2 tacos. The cochinita which was wonderful! The 2nd taco, carnitas, were terrible. They had some odd flavor that wasn’t appealing to me or my guest. The last thing I tried was dan dan noodles. They were great but the portion size was small. Finally for dessert my friend had the “mango sticky rice”. I’m not sure what they rice was but it was whipped cream from an aerosol can, not even fresh, Rice Krispies and mango. It was good but again, not impressed.
The service however was the best part of the meal. It did take a few minutes for a server to come to the table, however once we were going, it was on point. The assistant servers were on it and we never had to ask for anything. I would give the service 4.5 but the food did not lead up to expectation. Also, I indicated that we were celebrating a birthday and not one person mentioned anything to us. I wasn’t expecting a free anything but just a mention or a little more excitement. Nothing. We arrive around 5:45 which was earlier than our reservation time and there wasn’t a lot going on in the restaurant. We are planning on going back to Vegas in September but we won’t be back here.
The 20 Vegetable Fried rice is AMAZING. Great service and great food!!
Always love getting the twenty vegetable fried rice and wings every time we visit Vegas.
Was okay not great the fusion and portions were lacking
Awesome 20 vegetable fried rice. Been coming back here for years for that same dish and it is spot on every single time.
Excellent Dining experience. Lots to choose from and great service. Not very expensive considering you’re in Vegas. One of my favorite meals of the year for sure. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Given my love of Jose andres portfolio I was looking forward to this one. I have to say I was disappointed. Not bad but did not seem to be up to his usual level of flavor. Just fell flat compared to his other ventures.
Fantastic food a must stop while in Vegas
The food was absolutely spectacular - my boyfriend and I shared the cocktail sampler and ordered chips and salsa, Dan Dan noodles, beef dumplings, and Mongolian beef.
The Dan Dan noodles were a super disappointing serving size (though they tasted great). It was the only let down of the meal. Otherwise the beef was spectacular and the cocktails were super interesting. All in all a super fun experience.
The tasting menu wad underwhelming. A couple of the dishes were good but small and the entree was fried rice. It's just fried rice I'm not sure it belongs as the highlight of a tasting menu.
My only complaint are the chairs- I do not like backless chairs or picnic table type dining- it is extremely difficult to fully enjoy your meal when you can not get comfortable
Awful. Do not go. Orders are wrong food comes out random and is not good.
