Chima Steakhouse - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
Chima helped make Valentines Day special for my Wife and me. The evening included valet parking, a photo and a future dinner...all FREE.
The salad bar was an immediate hit with my Wife. High quality, fresh offerings made it difficult to choose and difficult to avoid not getting full before digging into the "meat of the subject"!
Service was bit slow to begin, but staff was responsive and I mean did it come...totally satisfied with our whole experience.
Food was good for the most part. Just took a while for servers to come offer all of the meats available. A lot of times they would just skip our section. Got the chocolate lava cake w/ coconut for dessert. It was the worst dessert I’ve ever had. Not sure who came up with the ingredients for that dish. Other than that, the food was good. However, I would have been more satisfied just going to a regular steakhouse and getting one steak.
The restaurant was crowded due to Valentine's Day but service was more than adequate. The waiters/waitresses were excellent. Typical churrascuria fare but as always it was very good. My major issue was the valet parking. We waited 20 minutes to be waited on and the traffic on JFK Blvd. was insane. They definitely needed more people servicing their guests.
This was our second visit to Chimas. I must say this place exceeded my expectations the second time around. The food was delicious. The waiters were every attentive. I can't enough nice things. Go hungry because they are going to feed you a whole lot. I was ok with the salad bar by itself. Great value
It was my first time going to Chima, and my boyfriend wanted to try it out for his birthday. Chima was the best decision we could've made! We can't stop talking about the delicious food and service. Everyone was so nice (especially Michelle and Ryan)and my boyfriend received a complimentary birthday dessert and picture. We will definitely be returning again!
Except sausage everything was medium rare or practically uncooked. I had kids with me. Beef was Ok. Lamb was under cooked. Add some spices to your meat. No Children’s discount. Server did not even ask the ages. Salad Bar is Ok. Need to upgrade quality of Cold cuts.
reading the previous reviews, I was a bit skeptical about going but when I arrived, they seated us promptly, when our reservation time came up, and began to deliver the set appetizers (this was restaurant week, so it was a set menu). We ordered drinks and began pondering which of the two menus we were ordering from. Once we decided upon the menu, the process was explained to us, as I was a first timer. The servers work as a team and we were reminded regularly about the process and not to be afraid to ask if we wanted a particular item. According to the other reviews it seemed like people expected them to be at their table every 2 mins, surveying the room, the servers were very quick to serve everyone in the room ( i was towards the rear, where there were about 75 -80 diners with several tables being 9 and 10 tops). So for those that decided to go, expect to wait a few mins (the most I waited was 5 mins for a server to come over) before getting the cut of meat or getting your fish course. But if you expect them to be at your table at your beck and call, this is not the place for you.
Kudos to servers, the host and hostesses and the staff in general, they made a long day end on a very high note.
I been here before a lot of times . But I have to say this visit wasn’t like the ones I had before . Wasn’t very happy with it . Meat taste very salty . Service was very slow and meat took forever to come around we had to keep asking for them to bring it . But I have to say salad bar was good . And on the bad side waited over 25 to 30 mins to get a check and that was because we had to go and ask for it . Not sure if I would go back again :(
