Excellent service, great food and price wise is not too bad for all the delicious food you get! Would recommend
Our server Sharifa provided outstanding service and made my niece’s birthday celebration fantastic. Her professionalism and personal attention made us feel so welcome. My niece was delighted with her special birthday dessert. Kudos to Sharifa. Chima should be very proud of her work!!!
Good dinner, food service great. Wine prices bit much for the mid-level bottles. Great marinades seasonings on the rodizio.
I absolutely loved it. The food was delicious. Service was perfect. I highly recommend this place.
Taylor and Nick made my husband’s birthday perfect!
Salad bar had changed and didn't have the same offerings as our last visit. Was lackluster. Meats were cooked appropriately, but not well seasoned so didn't have much flavor. Our server was nice and attentive and we enjoyed our drinks from the bar, but overall food was just okay.
Everything about the dinner was awesome
With a family of five that can’t always agree on what to eat, there was something for everyone. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving thanks to this restaurant and it’s staff.
The buffet bar with a plethora of so many different types of salads, cheeses, vegetables, and other delectables is the main selling point for me. I had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was only $56 per person. Quite a value for the money given that all the standard Thanksgiving sides and turkey were available at the buffet bar and we also enjoyed the standard meat offerings such as filet mignon, and sirloin steak etc. that were distributed throughout our meal. The turkey was a little tough. The stuffing was good and the whipped sweet potatoes were very good. Their mashed potatoes which they bring to the table are second to none. I want the recipe! Same for those cheesy dinner rolls with the garlic butter! I found the meat to be tasty but very fatty. We shared an apple tart with cinnamon ice-cream for dessert. It was out of this world!
This was our first visit and it was amazing. The options available for salad bar was plenty and the steak cuts were amazing. Our servers were great and very attentive. The desserts was perfect for my kids! Can’t wait to go back again
The experience didn’t start of so well. My daughter was in a stroller and there’s not a posted sign to tell you that the door is around the corner. Then when we got there we had to bang on the door to be let in. The hostess was clueless. We stood by the door for almost 10 minutes before they could tell us where we’d be sitting. Then it was sorta like pulling teeth to get water. There was something floating in mine and the waitress just told me to take my cousin’s glass who’d just gone to the restroom. I don’t think she ever brought her a glass of water. Thank goodness for Madison. She was great! The food was fine but it sucked that I had to pay full price since I was only eating one meat, not that big of deal but worth mentioning. The restroom was seriously DARK. Everyone enjoyed their meats. The sauces could use some variety. The thanksgiving turkey was awesome! Drinks were strong & tasty. It was a pretty good time & the no mess holiday was a hit for me.
The Staff was the first great thing to happen then the FOOD....MEATS !! WOW !!! Was there for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Turkey carving station was great, the salad bar had all the Thanksgiving fixings plus all of the standard items they usually serve. Salad Bar does no justice to this island of sides, vegetables and Italian meats etc. etc. Our servers were very hospitable and nice. The Gauchos were really neatly dressed to be the part ! Will definitely go there again.
Excellent service, delicious food and good but very good service, we were so pleased on our visit there, definitely we plan a new visit soon.
Food and service was great. By using Open Table we got there 15 minutes early but was seated by our reservation time.
We've been to Chima a few times in the past. As always, the service was great, the atmosphere was laid-back, and the food was perfect. The five-star review reflects all of that, with the very big, big exception of our bar service.
We were early and decided to have a cocktail at the bar. We each ordered a drink. Mine contained champagne, vodka, and pineapple juice. Not long after ordering, the bartender brought my boyfriend's drink and what I thought was my drink, before disappearing to the other side of the bar. We looked at it surprised and disappointed; it was a martini glass that was about 1/3 full. While we tried to figure out why the drink was so small, I picked up the glass to look at the drink.
Someone yelled across the bar, "Put that down!" It was the bartender. He yelled the same thing again. I was shocked. He then yelled that the drink wasn't finished yet. He returned a few moments later and finished making the drink in front of me. We were flabbergasted.
When he returned and asked if we were enjoying the drinks, I said they were good, but asked what he was thinking yelling across the bar. He tried to explain that the drink contained champagne and couldn't be shaken with the rest of the ingredients. I told him the ingredients weren't in dispute, but a) why did he yell across the bar? b) why did he not consider preparing the entire drink in front of me? or, c) why did he not consider preparing both drinks at once and bringing them at the same time, being that he brought my boyfriend's complete drink? He was nonplussed and shrugged.
He was rude, didn't care about embarrassing a customer, and was just a bad bartender. I hope he gets some coaching. But - That experience was an anomaly. We laughed it off and had a great time.
Was there fir a 70TH Birthday dinner party everything was excellent.
Henry, our waiter was the BEST. Made my husband's birthday even more special.
We celebrated my daughters 18th birthday there. Food was great. Service was great. But when the entire restaurant started signing happy birthday (the Steve Wonder version) to my daughter, I shed a mans tear. My daughter still talks about that night and wants to come back for more of your memorable food.
Always enjoy Chima's. Everything was exquisite as usual except the "Lamb Chops". and that's what I look forward to when I visit the restaurant. They were punny, most overcooked and the took forever before serving them. I actually had to request them.
Dining at Chima is a delight. My dining companions were amazed and loved the size and selections featured on the salad bar. The various meats and salmon that were being served by our gaucho servers were mouth watering, tender and tasty. Our servers were very attentive and pleasant. We look forward to return visit.
Food is always great. The staff is always helpful and attentive. My waiter Isaiah was spectacular.
The server constantly try to sell up.
The best thing about the restaurant was the woman who was singing while we were at the bar.
As always never disappointed when I come to Chima. Everyone is attentive to my needs. This is the first time where I've had to ask twice for certain cuts of meat but I won't hold it to the server or Location. The music was rather loud on the night I went. I would probably avoid going again on a night where they have live music. Otherwise all happy smiles over here.
Meat options were good, salmon was fishy smelling.
We were seated promptly. Nick our waiter was very friendly. One big downfall was the wait for the lamb chops; the sausages came around every 10 minutes but the lamb chops we waited in 20 minutes intervals.
I had an amazing experience. I took my dad for his birthday and he had the most wonderful time. The food was outstanding and the service was magnificent. If you love meat and want a beautiful place to have a nice evening with fine dining, I completely recommend Chima’s.
Brandon and Henry were extremely attentive to my table since I was there celebrating a friend's birthday. The 16 meats they served were cooked beautifully. Brandon and Henry found the time to change our plates plenty of times on a busy Saturday night. Both of them did an OUTSTANDING JOB with my table.
Service was great. Food was good loved it. The drinks were good i had the red sangria my sister had the white sangria. I liked hers better. The food was expensive. A table of 8 our bill was about $750
Awesome, attentive service! Food was delicious. Best part was that the vegetarians and vegans left full too!
My reservation count kept changing and the staff was really accommodating and worked with us to make sure that we would be able to enjoy our meal, so I really appreciate the willingness to extend customer service to difficult guests.
Food was good, service was so, so. Not enough meat servers on the floor and it seemed that they had instructions to limit and slow down service. Example on at least a couple occasions meat server would serve at the next table and then go the opposite way to then show up at the table to serve on the opposite side of us. Same with the server. Introduced to 3 servers and only saw one.
There are so many great restaurants in the city. Was the only one available for the time slot needed.
Delicious food, very good staff. My family and I have a good time at the restaurant.
We had such an amazing time. Thank you very much to everyone who made Cara's birthday a momentous one. :)
Really good service and selection of meats. The only reason I give it a 4/5 is because the Flan was not worth $12. I expected a smooth texture throughout, but it was grainy on the inside. Luckily, our server just gave us a slice of Tiramisu without us even asking so that definitely made up for it.
Great food and atmosphere. Pricey, so I’d recommend going there to celebrate large life events or special occasions. If I have the means and money to go again, I would.
First experience but a great experience.. Service... Food and quality was great.. Will definitely be there again..
Perfect for a special event
Thank you for a great expetience! Service was wonderful, our server Nick was fantastic and attentive. Only wish i could have fit in kore food, i was so full!!
One of my favorite restaurants in Philly, went there for Veterans Day, left a lil disappointed in the service. Kept having to ask for everything twice and for the money you spend there I thought it should have been better. I will definitely be going back, just hope it's better next time.
