Chima Steakhouse - Fort Lauderdale Ratings and Reviews
We went here for Thanksgiving. The selection of their salads was awesome. After the salads, the great selection of excellent meats kept on coming. This is the best Brazilian Steak House I have ever been to. All the meats were of high quality and very tender. We ordered a desert, this costs extra, and it was just delicious. To get to the restaurant, you first walk through a court. This area is a very pretty bar area. The restaurant itself is very attractive also and has great service. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a fun dining experience.
Wonderful as usual. We are in South Florida every year over Thanksgiving so Chima’s is our to go restaurant. This year we had to make Wednesday night our Thanksgiving because our daughter had to work on Thanksgiving. Thanks again for our wonderful experience.
There are many Brazilian Steak House chains. None of them are as good as Chima! The quality and variety of food were superior. It is important to remember not to fill up on the fabulous salad bar (That name does not do it justice!) because of the variety of meats that are served to your plate from the gauchos. We have been here before but this time they had something new - roasted pineapple sliced fresh from the skewer! It was amazing and you do not need desert after that! We recommend it highly if you are a carnivore!
A nice and friendly service for an outstanding "brochettes" food.
A special Oscar to the cooks who had to deal with an all "rare" menu.
Only shadow, the retain of the Credit Card at the bar, and the automatic charge of a 30% TIP on the bar. Certainly, our strange accent was a "suggestion" to catch the dumbees :-( : But it´s only the bar and you'll always be able to avoid it.
We celebrated our 20th Anniversary. The food was outstanding, ambiance was excellent, and service was very good. Highly recommend.
What they could do better? I noted in my reservation that it was our Anniversary. They did not mention it until the end of the night after we ordered dessert. They then brought out another dessert with candle and said Happy Anniversary. At that point we had already eaten our dessert. They should have at least comped our dessert. Also, it was hit and miss on friendliness of the servers that walk around with the food.
The food was superb and the service met expectations. We chose this restaurant for the Broward Restaurant month special of $37 per person and it was not offered so we assumed that it was going to be applied because no menu was presented to us. Our experience was ruined once we received the bill and saw that we were charged full price per person on a table for 10ppl. This is still one of my favorite restaurants but still disappointed that we felt taken advantage of.
When you first walk into the restaurant it's very pretty, lots of beautiful trees and landscaping. Salad bar was gigantic but did not have traditional salad accoutrements. Only one type of lettuce, loaded in Cesar dressing and no other dressings available. Meats not of high quality, lot of fat and grizzle. White rice was only side dish on salad buffet. We were not impressed.
Wonderful dinner at Chima! I don't eat red meat, but my husband does, and it was still worth it. There was salmon and chicken being passed along with the red meat options as well as a multitude of vegetable/salad options on the salad bar. The service is top notch. The drinks are great. Best place to celebrate a special occasion, away from the fray but still on Las Olas and just over the bridge from the beach.
They no longer serve swordfish and have substituted it with chicken, Salmon overcooked, they said next week may get shrimp or tuna to replace the swordfish. One glass of wine and two salad bars almost a hundred dollars. Go hungry.
