Chima Steakhouse - Fort Lauderdale Ratings and Reviews
I am from out of town and I visited this restaurant with work colleagues of mine. This was an ideal place for us to let down our hair and enjoy one another’s company while eating a delicious meal.
I’ve already stated next time I’m in town I’ll make sure to return with my husband.
We had an excellent meal all the different meats were tender and tasty. There were lots of salad and vegetable choices to enhance the meat dishes . The staff were welcoming and helpful as it was our first time at this restaurant. You need to have a good appetite before you go as there is so much to eat . It was my husbands birthday so they made it extra special. We will certainly visit again when we are back in Fort Lauderdale.
The service was great the meal was great the salad bar was awesome. I will say my only thing that I didn’t like was we were out at at table in the back with the 5 party tables it was to loud & annoying for us. We have been to China several times this time out location is the restaurant was poor & hurt my experience this time with Chima next time I will not except any of the 4 or 5 4 top tables in the party room it was horrible.
The salad bar was mediocre. If you like your meat well done, I advise you to notify your waiter as soon as you sit dow . Most of the meat was very rare(fine with me, but not my partner) and we had to ask the meat to be cooked more multiple times, resulting in it being very tough and over cooked, assuming the chefs were just annoyed. Be prepared to wait for the different meats to reach your table, we sat right next to the kitchen and we still had to wait around 5 minutes between each time we were served. Great ambiance, the outside it beautiful at night. Nice place to bring people visiting.
Everything was great, just too expensive. The décor is very, very beautiful, both inside and out, and the food is very good, but unless you are with a group of big meat eaters who plan to sample all the offerings, it isn't really worth spending over $100 per person.
It is very overpriced , we expected much more . My husband and I were there for our anniversary. The pork loin was very dry and the ribs were ok . I had a lemon drop martini that cost $17 . My husband had a ice tea and my check was $180 . The salad bar was ok , the waiter was attentive . And you still have to pay for vallet parking . Not a meal that i am going to remember or recommend.
Have been to Chima before, but only to sit outside for drinks and appetizers. If it's not a humid south Florida evening it's okay. If you want to "pig out" and spend $56 this is the place. Service is okay , but it's very noisy and when I am spending a lot, for me it was too much. The salad bar is good, has many choices. If I were to go again, would probably get the salad bar only for $36. Chicken and fish are available with the salad bar. Tried most of the meat choices, most are too salty for my taste.
