Chima Steakhouse - Fort Lauderdale
I was not expecting such a classy, elegant, warm atmosphere. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect!
Great food and service. Sangria was also delicious.
EVERYTHING about our experience at Chima Sunday night was amazing! I brought my boyfriend in (blind folded and all) for a surprise birthday dinner where he had his first glass/ bottle of wine hahaha needless to say we were both amazed by the service, food, wine and everything about the surroundings that we are already planning our next date night at Chima :) Thank you again for an amazing night out!
I have visited Chima many times. One should expect impeccable service at the price point of this restaurant, and historically that has always been the case. This last visit was very poor service from our waitress. Table maintenance was non-existent. The waitress was never to be found. We had to ask for help from a manager who was passing by. He ended up filling our drinks because he could not find her. We sat for 15 minutes before she came around and offered us coffee and dessert. Coffee came, with one of the orders wrong, and we still had dinner plates on the table. Not what one expects for a $60 per head Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and the Gaucho servers were attentive. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.
Overall the place was great, but the food was much too expensive. They also must not trick people into getting bottled water. They never gave the guest the option to get regular water. The waiter and waitresses were too busy. They approach the table at 100 miles per hour running to say "Is everything ok"? Before you have the opportunity to respond they took off.
We go to. Chima 3 to 4 times during the year. And this occasion the waiter was very slow. We had to remind him of the dessert after 30 minutes the same when we ask for water refills
Always great service and awesome food
Outstanding service, top of the line food and beverage. I love this restaurant.
Valet Service Good and reasonable priced. Agent who took name for seating good. Notification system good but server went looking for us and so we waited for her return. So would still with system. Two people seated after us where attended to before us . So was not happy about that. Busy Valentines night I know but felt more like a number than a paying guest in this experience. Food was tasty.
It's was a set menu but I was looking forward to my favorite dessert and they didn't serve it per corporate. Very disappointed but the meal itself was good.
Had a beautiful evening with my Girlfriend she loved it and that's all that matters.
Thank you Chima
Brilliant Brazilian steak house with charming ambiance.
We frequent this place often but tonight was a Birthday dinner. Maria was our server. As always, the food was fresh and outstanding. I cant say enough about Maria. She is so pleasant and made sure our dining experience was a five star dinner. Always recommend this place if you are visiting Fort Lauderdale.
We’re on vacation. We came to Chima’slast year and wanted to come back.
We didn’t even need the meat selections. We just got the salad bar and fish
and it was perfect.
We used Open Table reward points for this reservation. They were very generous in taking them at this restaurant. The wine list was very good with many selections. Our server, Sula, was attentive and professional. The options on the salad bar were very good. Great variety. Meats were plentiful and delicious. We also had a delicious dessert. Very good experience. Thank you.
Took my Fiance here for his birthday and he loved it... was was in absolute haven with all the meat choices
Not much food options and for doesn’t have much flavor. Restaurant too crowded and tables too close to each other. The food is not worth the price, too expensive. Plus the rule of people not being able to share meat even if they both bought food, is not a good rule at all. The chicken is good but the steak wasn’t great. Service is great but that’s about it.
Everything was wonderful, albeit a little too energetic (loud patrons). Hard to have a conversation, but we loved it and will be back!
iT IS OUR 3RD VISIT...GREAT BUFFET AND VERY NICE SELECTION. THE PICANNA...THE BEST.
First time and sat out at bar waiting for table to be ready. My husband ordered 3 drinks. They charged $21 for a glass of wine and never said it wasn’t on Happy Hour. That is ridiculous. Very loud. Service was very good. Everyone very friendly.
There is not other Brazilian Steakhouse as good as Chima, the quality of the food is tasted since you eat the cheese bread and side dishes, is the same delicious flavor. That shows the consistency on every single detail that they put on, is not only the meat that is amazing, it’s absolutely everything.
There should be a 6th star for restaurants like this, impecable restaurant that offers outstanding service at any day of the week.
Rotation of the different cuts of meat is awesome too, you get to see everything they offer, not like other Brazilian Steakhouses that you have to request especial items all the time.
If you’re around Miami/Fort Lauderdale area and your don’t visit this place, definitely you’ll miss out an opportunity to witness and taste the quality of the best Brazilian Steakhouse.
The place is nice but the need to work on their customers service. The waitress was rude and arrogant, the waiter never brought you all the cut of meat. I was under the impression that they were in a rush to clear the table.
Exceptional restaurant and food experience!!
Would definitely recommend Chima.
I should have checked the prices before we went. $155 plus tip for 2 people was high. Especially annoyed we were charged $14 for water! Service was good and the Salad bar had many unusual items. I was stuffed.
I would have liked to take the food I could not eat home but it was not allowed.
We arrived a little early for our reservation so decided to go to the bar. It was happy hour and we ordered 2 glasses of wine that were happy hour price of $7 each. Our bill came and was over $20. We asked and were told that we were taxed on the full price ($14 each) and a 18% gratuity was already added. We were also told that since we were near the beach...... We were amazed since we are residents and live on the beach. We have never heard of this before. How can you charge tax and gratuity on the original price and claim and advertise a “happy hour” price?? This bothered us through dinner and we spoke to the manager after. She explained that it was company policy but did refund us to the advertised price. Afraid that many others will not realize this issue and want to let you know. This REALLY doesn’t seem above board!!!
Hell I wouldn't even give a one star but I have to I felt like a sardine in a can you can't ever walkthrough to get anywhere the tables are so close together it is crazy. The waiter said the chicken lamb and filet mignon would be over and we waited we never got chicken we only got the filet 1 time all we got was sausage ribeye prime rib the whole night b was just sausage prime rib and never even got chicken or pork or lamb we asked by it never came .Then these fried log and French fry looking things was brought to the table and you didn't even know what the hell the food was cause nobody ever explained anything the waiter didn't seem like he wanted to be there it was my anniversary and I left almost in tears cause my experience was awful they confused us by saying we get a free dessert because of our anniversary so they handed us the tablet to choose a dessert which we thought we choose what we wanted so we told the waiter what we wanted so then here comes the free dessert and the one we ordered they explain nothing I hated my experience there will never go back
Food was good
This place always delivers. They have delicious, fresh, and perfectly prepared food as well as excellent service!
Maria was an excellent server! I can say that I have never had a bad experience at Chima's. My friends were treated well and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves The food was fantastic. We were the last to leave and they were not pressed about it at all! Thank you, thank you for helping us celebrate the 40th birthday of our dear friend.
The food was amazing, service impeccable and my husband enjoyed his birthday to the fullest.
Our reservation was 45 minutes late. Was not happy to having to wait in the lobby for that amount of time.
We were told there would be 12 different cuts of meat. Think we saw many six. Still waiting for the rest.
The help your self bar was excellent.
Fantastic service & food. as expected.
Chima has a beautiful layout and vibe. The food was amazing and all the gauchos and wait staff was attentive. I would definitely go back.
Food was awesome and the wait staff was very attentive.
The Lamb was very tough and the Sirloin Picada was to rare, they could not get it to Medium
Food was excellent, service was just fair in terms of attentiveness and being present at the table. Meat juice was spilled on me on two separate occasions during careful meat service, which is not something you expect at a steakhouse of this caliber and expense. Overall, great food but as a whole, the experience was lacking compared to year prior.
Sad about them not having shrimp that they had the first time I went, but shows they change the menu constantly which is an excellent sign of a high class clean restaurant, very pleased.
One of our favorites. The Steak did not disappoint. The lamb and chicken fell a little short this time, but we will be back
But would qualify the recommendation. price for just salad bar is too high. quality of meat was less than usual. the restaurant it self and the courtyard area is beautiful as always. also they included the wine bottle in the automatic 18% tip. dont like that.
The Picanha steak was go to meat for our table and made all others meats a distant second place. Honorable mention to the filet minion and the lamb. We look forward to our next evening at Chima!
