Chima Steakhouse - Charlotte
Book your next event with us
This was my first time coming to Chima. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday on Friday. Our server John was amazing! The food was amazing! The customer service experience was amazing! We will definitely be back.
Very good food and the service is superb. Will be one of my goto’s for fine dining.
Food and atmosphere was excellent. Service was spotty. Brought hot sides while on salad bar course. When asked gaucho to bring me a clean plate, he walked away. Water was not filled frequently enough. But overall a good experience.
I have been to this establishment 3 years in a row for my anniversary dinner and it never fails in excellence. Thank you!!! Keep up the great work and delightful customer service.
We’ll definitely be coming back! Our server was very responsive as well.
This is the best Brazilian Steakhouse outside of Brazil and better than all the others we’ve been in the US too. Excellent food and service!! Looking forward to our next visit!
While the service and atmosphere was great, the food was not that impressive. I had the salmon, and it was dry and very salty. My date had the meat. The food was not that impressive considering how much it costs. I won't go back unless their prices are lowered, and I don't see that happening.
Nathalia and Denis were exceptional. I hadn't been to chima in a few years and boy I feel like I've been missing out!
Perfect date night , quite packed even on a Tuesday. I had the most amazing after dinner coffee liquer.
Cant wait to return
Best food ever. A lot of variety. My server Stephany was super kind, quick, friendly, and attentive.
I hate a great time at Chima's. I went to celebrate my birthday with my son. I have been there on two occasions during restaurant week. This time i went i got the full menu and Lobster. it was truly a great experience to share with my son. I even got a history lesson on the uniform from our waiter. Great time. Can't wait to go back.
The servers and host were amazing! The food was great my favorite was the pineapple omg if I could have taken on home! Defiantly worth the money!
Chris was a great waiter. The food was delicious, except the flank steak was tough. The food comes fast at first, too fast, then really slow later, but if you just ask for something they will go get it, so no worries there. We love this place, but it is pricey... Still we will go back just not as soon as we like :)
We love chima! One of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte.
Great Food, excellent wine, wonderful services, Natalia did an awesome job
Very nice time with my wife for anniversary date night. Food was excellent and ambience is very good.
One of the best Brazilian Steakhouse I’ve bean too!
Great! Amazing! Great meat! Great service! Loved it all! Can’t wait to go back!
Thanks for the outstanding service! Tried all types of meats u had. Everything was delicious. A lot of food (meat) was served what made us really full! (For the price paid it was perfect!)The men carrying the meat were very polite, making sure we try all the types of meat they served. The service was excellent and we felt very valued! Loved our experience!
It was our first time here, we were celebrating our 10th anniversary. They require "business casual dress", to us it was more "summer casual"
The salad bar is large and has at least 20 if not more items to choose from, item fresh and well stocked.
The grilled meats were done perfectly, with choices of rare, medium rare and medium. The variety was beyond our expectations and the servers of the meats were always ready to serve you and if you wanted lamb chops instead of leg of lamb, we asked for them and 5 minutes later we had them.
The service by our waitress was exceptional, always available, helpful and not intrusive.
If you like good food, this restaurant is an excellent choice, make sure you use valet parking or an Uber as their is no nearby parking.
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME, AND THE FOOD IS GREAT, TEAM WONDERFUL AND PROFESSIONAL
Excellent food and good friendly service.
Everything was fresh and prepared just right.
This is a Brazilian Steakhouse so the price is high but you get great food and more than you can eat for that money. My favorite cut of meat was the cajun rib eye. The spice was just right and all the way through the meat.
Birthday celebration. The waiting for the meats is getting longer and longer.
Good food but overall I felt like I paid way too much for steak I could have grilled. Our waiter John was amazing very polite and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed, including giving us a slice of cheesecake for our anniversary(that my wife would go to drop on the floor before leaving). Atmosphere felt packed and noisy... felt like you were eating with the people next to you...
Monday funday at Chima!!! Lobster was included and I didn’t pay more for it.. just amazing considering how expensive lobster is!
The location of our table was not ideal for a couple reasons - 1) Many of the meat servers bypassed our table. I would notice them at the surrounding tables, but they didn’t come to ours. 2) We were seated next to a family with 2 small children that were left unattended playing on the floor while the family ate. The toddler crawled over under our table. The baby cried incessantly, ruining the atmosphere. I don’t go to fine dining restaurants to contend with crying/unruly babies.
Overall good second experience at Chimas. Unfortunately this time it felt like the experience was lacking in some areas. My party of four came to celebrate my birthday, of which we told our waiter and the OpenTable web app.
We were sat in the back corner of the restraunt at a table. My friend told the waiter it was my birthday and our waiter said congrats.
The unfortunate part about this experience was the table and or seating location. I felt like we were forgotten and often times had to flag down our waiter but worse, the servers of the meat. One of them even started, "I forget about this corned all of the time."
This was quite upsetting as the experience to me was supposed to be about the service, of which we didn't get as good as I believe we should have.
Finally, nothing about my birthday was mentioned again. Even though I saw countless waitresses bringing out a piece of cheesecake with a candle. ( mind you I was too stuffed to eat dessert) I was just disspaointed about seeing the others go out.
I will go back to chimas in the future, but it may be a while before I am willing to.
Food and wait staff were outstanding
We celebrated a birthday and it was quite the experience! It was my first time at a Brazilian style restaurant and it won’t be my last! Fantastic food, service and drinks. I can’t wait to go back.
I was a little disappointed that the chefs weren’t coming to my table enough. I had to get the attention of one of the staff so that I could get service
Kimberly was wonderful! Really appreciated her time and effort!
Perfect dinner, our waitress was very professional and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious. Now just have to go back on a Monday for the lobster! Highly recommend Chima!
Good gastronomic experience. Will return. Recommended
I always enjoy dinner at Chima. My meal was excellent, the lobster was a nice treat. My Server, Chong, was very courteous and pleasant. He made an excellent wine recommendation! The Gouchos were attentive and professional. I like the new decor. Keep it up Chima, and my friends and I will keep coming back!
Enjoyed all the meats. Buffet had good variety. Loved Salmon with passion fruit sauce. It was all good. Waitress was very informative. Servers were accommodating
Always great food and service when I go here. Never had a bad experience and the numerous time I have been.
I had made reservations to celebrate our 26th Anniversary with Chima before the concert at Spectrum. We were looking forward to having a new experience with the various meats offered. I have to have my meat well done. So when the food came around, I first took a chicken thigh while waiting on steaks. I love steak. Everyone that came by was rare. I asked for well-done and was told they would be right back. After an hour, I am still waiting and still being told it is coming. I did not eat salad or sides at all because I wanted a steak. We alerted our waiter about needing well-done, he assured us it was coming. Another 20 minutes and I was just tired of waiting. As we were getting ready to leave, they came to my table and began to slice a steak. It was medium and half fat. I told them no thank you. Trying to have me wait, another one came by and it was so burned I do not believe an animal would have eaten it. I was just so upset and done by this time. My husband requested my meal be taken off the bill because I had only eaten ONE chicken thigh about the size of a child's fist. It was overcooked and had to peel a hard skin off to get to a small portion I could attempt to eat. They only credited the "meat" portion of my meal. I had to pay $36 for a salad bar/sides I did NOT even eat! I know some meats are preferred to be cooked with red in center. I cannot eat that. So to make me pay for a salad I did not eat, and to never get my well-done steak I kept being promised, we left. It was an awful start to a date night to celebrate our anniversary and sadly I did not get to eat until after 12am when I got home. I had gone all day and had not eaten just so I could enjoy what I thought was going to be amazing steaks. While heading to the door, the manager gave us 2 complimentary cards for another meal. While the offer was respectful, Why would I come back to a place that cannot fix what I want to eat? I would have been much happier to get the $123 I had to pay.
We didn’t love Chima. We are familiar with Brazilian steakhouses, having been to 3 other ones. The meat was seriously not that great. The best meat was the house sirloin, but the rest was just okay. Many different options on salad bar. Took forever to get pineapple, even after asking two different people. Wobbly table that a waiter said he would fix and never did.
