Overall the experience was excellent. I’ve been to other Brazilian steakhouses in other cities and Chima had theeee best selection of meats and salad. The taste of the food was also superior. The only thing missing is decor. It looks a bit plain compared to other Brazilian steak houses. I felt like I was having a five star dining experience and the waitress was excellent. I would, without a doubt, visit again and highly recommend for any occasion.

My daughter and myself had a great dinner for her 21st birthday.

We are regulars at your restaurant. But this evening service was not at all what it’s been in the past. There was not many options for meat or seafood. We had to keep flagging down the waiter for service. Drinks were taking about 20 mins to be served. As we were walking out of the restaurant a homeless man was threatening me and my family which was very upsetting. At this point I do not think we will be returning.

Made reservations for 3 for Friday night. Everyone was friendly, wearing masks, and social distancing--food was great

Reservation at 8:30.... enjoying our wine and chatting amongst our group. At 9:05, our server came to us and said we had to be out of the restaurant at 10 so we needed to get started... we were then rushed through our entire meal. Maybe a heads up about the “curfew” would have prevented this! Disappointed we didn’t get to enjoy the experience - and forced to take our dessert to go.

PROS: Excellent Food!! Excellent Service!! Definitely got our monies worth.

CONS: We were visiting Charlotte to take our son on a college tour the next morning (UNCC). I made an 8pm reservation. Confirmed online at 7:30, got there at 7:55, wasn’t seated until 8:20, that was disappointing. Also, this may be out of their control but after paying almost $300 on a nice dinner for three the last thing I wanted was the harassment from the homeless persons waiting outside while we waited for the valet. It really took away from the upscale experience.

We had the most amazing server Marlyn. We had never been there before and she made the experience perfect. Highly recommend.

The service was horrible I found hair in my FOOD the most delicious part of our meal was the water which was super high!

The only flaw I had was that we were brought a Birthday Cheesecake once I mentioned we were out celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Seems thoughtful right? Right. Until I got the check to find out we were charged for it. If that was the case we would have been okay to go without. I find that very inconsiderate since we were not asked once, just forced to pay an extra charge when we already splurged on a nice bottle of wine. Would not come back for a celebration / refer a friend mainly for that fact.

I thought the price was $49.95 , per person. But I paid $115. For 2 people.
I didn't have the opportunity to look at a menu. Because I could scan it with my phone. But overall, it was a nice experience.

Love this place. The food and service is superb. Marilyn was our waitress. She was attentive and pleasant. We had 3 main gouchos we loved - Kevin & Rogert! My fav dishes are the lamb chops and the grilled pineapple!!!

My girlfriend and I went for a late Valentines Day dinner. The staff was extremely attentive, and the food was outstanding. Chima has been my favorite restaurant in Charlotte for years, and never disappoints.

Everything was great. Except for the noise from another table with kids running around loud and uncontrolled. The staff was very patient and nice. We would definitely come bath.

We will be back next year. Me and my husband celebrated 9 years and choosing to make reservations with y’all was the best. It’s now our new tradition.

It was my first time eating at chimas and i loved it we had a reservation the wait wasn’t long the staff was friendly service was great i had purposed to my girlfriend and she said yes so the overall experience was excellent i will definitely be back

Valentine’s dinner was not as expected, they didn’t inform that dinner was going to be mandatory for each person $95. We where informed after we set at the table. The food was ok, our table was right across the bar lots of people walking by in less the 6 feet of distance. Over all very disappointed for the poor communication from the staff.

We always have a great experience from complimentary valet, reservation check-in, seating and the overall wait staff as well as the meat carvers are always world class service. One thing I would like to see are more hot sides on the bar.

This dining establishment exuded the standards of excellence. Their ambience, level of customer service and organization was beyond satisfactory. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the salmon and shrimp for seafood lovers. The salad/rice bar has a variety of succulent choices. All meats were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The leg of the lamb and grilled pineapple is a must try! I would highly recommend to all friends and family.
