Lovely food was great and enjoyed the service
Fantastic menu and service. Good energy with lots of folks enjoying themselves. Loved that it was in an older home and neighborhood....
Hands down some of the BEST Italian food I have ever had. With every bite you can tell that everything is homemade. The wine recommendation and selection was wonderful as well. Ambiance it so cute and quaint. Still cannot believe how flipping good the food was though. I will dream about it until I get to come back!
Food was excellent. Server was attentive and spaced meal properly. Would definitely go back
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Highly recommend the creamy basil pesto and will be back again if I return top Asheville!
Delicious! Service was wonderful, too. We'll definitely be back.
Everything we ordered was amazing!! Great wine as well, would def recommend and come back.
It’s a great date night or dinner with friends! You can’t go wrong by choosing to dine here!
I usually don’t like to give bad reviews but I just can’t let this one go- we arrived and were greeted right away by a very nice and friendly hostess who seated us quickly. Our waiter came by and greeted us in a timely manner but from that point on the service was just plain bad. We had ordered a small Caesar salad and the burrata as our first course. The waiter said he was going to put our order in quickly because they were expecting a group of 8 soon and he did not want to delay our meal. We said that was fine and then we proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our first course to come to the table. During all this time the people around us that had been seated after us were getting their appetizers and entrées before we even got our first courses. The food itself was delicious but we will not be returning. Very frustrating experience.
The food here was fantastic. Very fresh pasta (highly recommend the spinach and cheese ravioli - add meatballs!). The burrata was some of the best/freshest we have had and one of the highlights of our weekend to Asheville. Would highly recommend this place (get a reservation) and some place we hope to visit again when in the area.
Never ceases to amaze us. Would go weekly if there weren't so many choices in town.
The restaurant was very good overall. Only glitch when booking thru Open Table was they only had reservations available for bar seats at either 6 or 8 pm. I made a reservation at 5:30 regular seating and noted while there that half the regular tables were empty at 6-6:15 pm. Didn’t understand why a 6 pm slot wasn’t available.
The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was well prepared and we were not rushed. Good experience
Still my favorite restaurant. The beef tenderloin special was absolutely outstanding!
My guests loved the whole experience. They were vegans and it was perfect. The scallops I had were delicious.
I hate to leave a bad review, especially since the food was very good. But we had a bad experience. We made a reservation days in advance. When we arrived we were shown to a totally unacceptable table placed literally 2 feet away from the waitress station. Any other table in the entire restaurant would have been fine, and there were many other empty tables. I asked to be moved, and was refused. As I said, we had a reservation, there were many other suitable tables, which remained empty during our entire meal. At no point was the restaurant more than 2/3 full. There was no reason for us to be treated like this, and it was an unpleasant experience.
They were able to accommodate our toddler by providing a nice, clean high chair and offered to make him anything from different pastas to different sauces. We went with the orritchete (ear shaped) pasta with parmigiana cheese and butter. He’s never had that before but good gracious- he loved it! The wine and bread and food was fabulous. I had the shrimp and grits and Ate. The. Whole. Thing. It came with bruleed watermelon on top which was phenomenal. My toddle ate several pieces too. We had 3 generations in our party and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Our server Lisa Marie was fabulous. Highly recommend this place!
This place is such a gem. Old church turned Italian dream. The wait staff was so knowledgeable and kind. Patrick was our server and was so great and chatted with us all night as we were sitting at the bar. Food was Devine. Had the capresse salad for app and creamy pesto for entree. Both were perfection. Will definitely be back next time in Asheville.
Wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the service was top not, we will definitely be back!
We are in Real Estate and always bring our out of town clients here. Wonderful ambiance, food is superb, and staff is very courteous.
Food was great, charming place. Our server was a bit slow, but otherwise a fabulous evening
Lovely place, great service, and delicious food. A real find.
The staff was wonderful! We went to Chiesa for a birthday dinner this week and the staff was very kind and accommodating to our birthday vegan as well as their mom and friend who are not vegan. The food was delicious for all of us and the service was exceptional! We will be back!
Incredible! Excellent service, food, everything. Hand-made pastas. I had Mediterranean pasta which was so delicious, and my husband had the house-made pesto, which was incredible as well. Wonderful way for us to celebrate our anniversary. :)
Was great, however, I make my Italian grandma's red sauce, and I dated to try theirs, and it did not complete with my Nana's. However, all very good.
Fun place at bar.
Chiesa is such an adorable spot for a friend get together or a nice date night. The food is fabulous and the service is wonderful! A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
The food was incredible! We had a great time! The pasta was so good and fresh. The service was personable! Would go back again
Excellent, as always.
Can't wait to go back. Super relaxing environment and delicious food and drinks!
Very good food, carbonara was our fav. Server was very good and recommended a great wine. Loved the back patio and the fact that it was off the beaten path a bit and not so crowded
This restaurant was our favorite when we recently visited Asheville. The food was amazing and the restaurant had so much character being an old church. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
We were seated on the patio as otherwise we would have been seated at the small bar. It was a lovely evening and the service was exceptional. We had Angel Hair Pasta and Italian sausages, and Eggplant Parmesan with Fettuccine pasta. Both dishes came with the “Sunday Gravy” which was delicious making the dishes very tasty and memorable. The ice cream for desert was just right. Salted caramel and apple ice cream. We are sure to return for a dinner in the near future.
A return visit, and we were not disappointed. Sampled different items on the menu, which were delightful. Our waiter was pleasant, attentive, and efficient.
As always the service and food was exceptional. I had the mussels and eggplant Parmesan and for dessert the lemon cake
We consider ourselves regulars at Chiesa. It's our go-to place for special occasions and for an all around great dining experience.
We visited Chiesa on the recommendation of our host at a nearby B both dishes were excellent. We shared a traditionally prepared tiramisu. All of the staff were efficient, knowledgeable, and polite.
FANTASTIC FOOD AS ALWAYS. The service was also fine.
AMAZING food; would have been ultimate experience but felt very rushed and as if we were “annoying” our waiter. May have been an “off night” for him- otherwise great experience.
First timers to Chiesa....wonderfully surprised! We eat out in downtown avl and wavl ALL the time and Chiesa has jumped to our top 5, possibly top 3. Jargon & Vivien’s are up there.....now joined by Chiesa.
A nice dinner with good food and beverage options. Excellent pasta options. Friendly service but a bit unattentive.
