When I made the reservation I noted that we wanted a booth and that it was for my sons birthday. When I checked in and gave my name for the reservation they asked me if I wanted a booth or a table.
The waiter was a bit awkward. Our main course was served while we were still eating our salads to name one issue.
The food was great.
I would like to see healthier options such as a main course salad and more options for non fried foods, perhaps another fish options with more vegetables.

The food is good, but it seems as if the servers or their sections are mismanaged on Sundays.

Lovely restaurant and really nice people! Food was delicious, everyone was friendly and service was great. The server and kitchen accommodated our special request. The restaurant supports local agricultural producers and is a Georgia Organics Member. It's a great place to eat!

The Chicken and the Egg was a bit heavy handed with the salt shaker this time around, but I wouldn't let that stop you. The Wild Boar Meatballs were by far the table favorite, however the Poutine the most disappointing since our last experience. Overall, everyone enjoyed their dining experience and won't let these couple of items turn us away in the future. Very good Southern fare!

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Kara was a great server. You could tell the crew was tired as it was end of a busy Thanksgiving day rush but, that didn't dampen their spirits. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and the food was very good!

We visited on Thanksgiving. The restaurant was very business. We did have reservations however we still had to wait 45 mins, due to a system "glitch" they gave our table to someone else. AKA, they overlooked us on the list. They were somewhat apologetic, however not overly as the staff was supper stressed from the overwhelming amount of people they had that day. Once we sat down the prefix meal was pretty good and the service was fast. I would like to try on a regular dinner night.

Very nice Thanksgiving lunch. Were running about 25 minutes behind for reservations but still kept things moving. We were actually seated within 15 minutes.

Came for Thanksgiving. Made our reservation well in advance. Was told they were about 15 mins behind on seating. Individually we asked the hostess about our being seated: 30 mins after reservation time, 45 mins after res, 53 mins after. Only THEN did the hostess realize that we had been skipped and later reservations were being seated ahead of us. She apologized that the manager had been seating these other tables. Shame on that manager for making the hostess do the dirty work--he walked directly by our table several times during the meal and said not one word.

The meal was very delicious and made it to the table quickly. Would definitely go back for a meal, but would be certain to reserve a early table in holidays to avoid seating back-ups.

We went To Chicken and the Egg for Thanksgiving 2017. The food was just so so. For what I choose off the selections, these are my thoughts....The turkey was fine, but not like homemade. The cornbread dressing was pastey but had a nice flavor. The green bean casserole was nothing more than some soup and beans. Not a true green bean casserole. The best thing was the mashed potatoes. Dessert apple cobbler was bland. I would hope this was nothing more than mass production of the food just needed for the holiday meal. I chose this restaurant from good review but this was with their regular dining guests and not for a holiday. I might try then on an ordinary day to see how the food is, but would not go back for another Thanksgiving meal.
Server was a bit rude, but I think she was overwhelmed. All in all it was a disappointment for me and my guest.

I dined here with my family on Thanksgiving. I have to grade any restaurant on-a-curve that opens for a family holiday like Thanksgiving so I will say that all-things-considered we were happy with our experience and would definitely give them a 2nd try. Considering the large crowd they did a very good job of seating us quickly as well as provided excellent service. The food, however, was not impressive. The Prix Fixe Thanksgiving menu had all of our holiday favorites but every item was bland and disappointing. I understand serving food to such a large number of people can be challenging but with such a limited menu I would expect a higher recipe quality.

Made reservations at 2 pm on thanksgiving and the lobby was packed when we got there. Lucky for us there were two seats at the bar and after waiting 30 minutes we when ahead and ate at the bar which was fine. Wish we would have been informed we could just go ahead and eat at the bar to begin with.

Brunch at the Chicken and the Egg is fantastic. Thanksgiving Day lunch/dinner is moderately priced but the ham/turkey options are a bit dried out, I thought, and the vegetables were a bit cold. Mashed potatoes were the best option of the 3 I selected. The desserts were fine.

I went for Thanksgiving dinner and I’m still sore about it. We were sat at 12:15 promptly greeted and rushed into ordering. I ordered a glass of wine as well. My food and wine arrived at the same time not because drink service was slow but because the food was just plopped on the plate. My husband eats a bit faster than I and when I was a quarter of the way through my entree my husbands plate was cleared. Uncomfortable but what really got me is dessert was brought out immediately after the cleared his plate. I looked at my watch it was 12:30 so 15 min after we sat dessert was served while I was still enjoying my entree! At this point I just put my card on the table since they couldn’t seem to get rid of us fast enough. It took my server 20 min to process my payment after all that rushing 20 min to pay. Unacceptable!

Cold food, small portions, no flavor to anything. It all tasted like it came out of a can except the potatoes, which were real but very bland. This was my second awful meal here. The waitress was nice, but it is clear that she knew what was going on. Sad because they have a great location. Next time I will go to the Marietta Diner.

Good, not great- had specific menu items to pick from. Would prefer a "brunch" where it is buffet style, and can pick from multiple items.
Server was very nice/prompt.

The pimento cheese fritters with the tomato jam are always a great app. My wife had the chicken and she subbed the waffles for veggies. Their fried chicken is always spot on and they brought her some sawmill gravy when she requested it. I had the beef short rib over gouda grits and garlicky green beans. We finished with the peanut butter pie that had a side of peanut butter ice cream that was delicious. Kara was a great server and very sweet and helpful. The only knock was the Old Fashions -wwaaayyyy too much ice.
