The menu is very simple and they treasure themselves on making chicken. I had the roasted chicken and it was so good, I forgot I was there with a date and kept to eating the food over conversation. For us, we shared the half chicken that they offered with a side and it was more than enough food for us.
Great food. Fun atmosphere but a bit too dark. Good service. Definitely would return!
The fried chicken sandwiches here are so good!! Only thing I wish it wasn’t so dark it’s a little hard to see
The worst service! What’s the point of making a reservation if they don’t honor your reservation with a table. A server greeted us, we told him we had a reservation and he walked away and never came back. Five min later another gentleman came to greet us and he said our only option was the counter, because all the tables were taken. Buuuut, I made a reservation? that’s all I have .
Super excited for this lunch!
We took the counter, ate our lunch and halfway through the manager came by to offer our first round of drinks and dessert on the house for the inconvenience. Ok, things are looking up! But of course we get the bill and our drinks are on there. Server, again just .
Obviously, customer service is not a priority here.
By far the best friend chicken I’ve had and the chicken and waffles are killer!
Had a great Sunday brunch at Chicken & Farm Shop. Four of us went and we split two orders of chicken & waffles (plus blood marys and mimosas) and the food was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe and was much less busy than the Allis downstairs, which was nice for us to all be able to carry on a conversation.
love love love love love love love underrated love
Our second visit, loved the food the first time, disappointed on this visit. Service was slow on a Saturday. Drinks took a while for a not too busy brunch. We ordered a chicken bbq sandwich to split, Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese. The sandwich was dry, if we hadn't been told cole slaw on was it I wouldn't have known. Dry. The Brussels sprouts had a burnt taste. Loved them on the previous visit. Mac & cheese had no taste. No one came to our table till the check was presented.
The food was good but came out a little cold.
I arrived in the afternoon with my sister -inlaws.
The place was adorable and we couldn't wait to try the Original chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts.
Delicious food , We will be back!
The food is very good. The service is excellent!! I am looking forward to going back.
Chicken and waffle was really good. Chicken Benedict was also very good. Both were huge portions. The Brussels sprouts were out of this world!
Food was excellent, the staff was great, we were seated right away.
The chicken sandwich and the Brussel sprouts are the BEST!!!!! Enjoyed my visit here. Customer service was fantastic - will definitely return.
This place is definitely a fav, having become my go to spot when I have out of town guests. As a vegetarian I typically order the veggie chili (it’s so yummy) and Mac n cheese, but my friends typically enjoy the chicken and waffles dish.
The service was lackluster. Even though the place was nearly empty, it took a while to be seated even though I had a reservation. The server messed up my friend’s order, as well.
Everyone is great ! The food is the best and their selections are for both vegans or meat heads.
It seems like each time I go the experience gets worse.
- One of the cooks was eating off the line; this turns my stomach on so many levels.
- Water bottles need to be cleaned
- It was a slow Saturday of course so much going on in the city and raining but the service was lack luster. Mind you they had enough staff to cover each table.
- Food: We ordered the Rotisserie Chicken Meal w/(2) sides. The chicken was the only thing hot on the platter. Mac and cheese bland even the bread crumbs on top just dry. Sprouts were horrible as if they have been reheated from night before and tossed in sugar dressing. Let’s not forget about the dry corn bread and rock for a biscuit😑. The Maple butter couldn’t even bring it back to life. We tried to make things better with dessert and ordered the apple pie🤢. Canned apples smothered in brown sugar; the crust was so hard the ice cream didn’t even melt. Costco serves a better apple pie and can get a whole pie for the price of the slice ordered.
Overall the experience was pretty much a waste especially with so many other options to choose from within the area. I feel some updated training is need for entire staff and just revamp menu. But then again with the number of covers within the time of our reservation I’m sure people aren’t into the food like before. Honestly I wish I could’ve gotten a refund and grabbed dinner from someplace else.
Enjoyed my son's 19th b'day brunch with family. We will absolutely return to this establishment in the future. I am a vegetarian and left the brunch just as satisfied as my meat eating family members. I will say it is VERY dark inside so of you wear readers, bring them! I almost couldn't read the menu.
The chicken and waffles is excellent so are their alcoholic shakes. However it is VERY loud and you might struggle to even hear your waiter.
Great little spot for lunch. The Chicken sandwich was better than the dirty burger, but we enjoyed both. The fries were a bit soggy, i'm recommend trying a different side.
Unbelievably good chicken, both fried and rotisserie! Chicken and waffles to die for. Get the brussel sprouts as one of your sides, even if you hated them as a kid. These sprouts will change your life!
Hosted a business lunch and my guests and I appreciated the excellent service, delicious entrées, and ambience was just right - energetic but not too loud
I love this place!
Nice place tucked away in the SOHO House, not a large menu but the food and service was good.
Service is beyond horrible there. I dine out about 5 times out of the week so I have a pretty good understanding of what good service is. The food was okay. The chicken sandwich was 70% fat and breading. Once you order, the food runner brings your food one by one. Expect people in your group to be sitting without food while your food sits on the table getting cold. Horrible place.
we waited atleast 15 minutes to get waited on and waited 35 minutes for our food, one person in our party didn't receive his dinner and had to share our food. the waitress was not friendly at all. when we asked about the dinner for my boss that never came, her response was 'oh, sorry, I'll remove it from the bill" we wanted the food but got tired of waiting. we had a party of 5 and the table was way too small to accommodate the dishes. Will not go back and will not refer to anyone.
Great tasting food and half off on mondays!
Chicken and Waffle was fantastic!!! Great ambiance and location.
It took a while for someone to greet us so we were standing there for a little bit. The food definitely made up for this as the chicken and waffle were great! I highly recommend ordering that if you go. I will definitely be going back!
Excellent food! Always a great experience: service, food and ambience. One of my favorite spots!
Fresh tasty food and you don't have to worry about food allergies because they cook preparing your food with thought in mind! Staff very nice and welcoming...not much of a sports at but there are a couple of tvs if you want to catch a game. The place is for good dining and conversation.
I had the quarter chicken with fries plus the warm brownie for dessert and my dinner date had the original fried chicken sandwich.
The chicken free range roasted chicken and it was good. It didn't take long for the food to come out. The chicken sandwich was huge!!!! Two chicken breast fried to perfection and the sides are sharable if you choose too. The brownie was ok we could have passed. Overall cost $56 including two cokes.
This was our first time visiting Chicken and Farm Shop. The host seemed confused when we got there. They were not overly crowded. We got our water right away and then had to wait a little bit to order. We ordered 2 chocolate shakes as well as the whole Rotisserie chicken dinner. It took almost 20 mins to get our shakes and they were awful. They were over blended and like Luke warm chocolate soup.
The dinner was tasty. We do wish they offered traditional sides like mashed potatoes and gravy.
We most likely won’t be back.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was so delicious!
Great food, everyone was really happy with what they ordered in our large party. Waitress was great and attentive.
Brunch was phenomenal!!!
Jamie was excellent!!
Rotisserie chicken was amazing! Will definitely visit again.
