The chefs recommended filet trio is outstanding! Great opportunity to try multiple topping....My son loved the NY strip, hubby loved his steak Diane.
Food was delicious, everything came out fast and hot. This place is the pure definition of you get what you pay for.
Very nice first experience, overall food was worth the price. Only downside was waiters attitude. When ordering dessert, we asked if they had hot chocolate. He said “no, go to McDonald’s”. We were definitely not in the same age bracket as their usual clientele but definitely unprofessional.
Good food and service. Wine bu the bottle list was very good, however the wine by the glass options were very poor.
My steak was more like rare than the medium rare I ordered but it was still delicious. But everything else was fantastic and great service. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.
our favorite high-end restaurant. If it was less expensive we would go there a lot more but we do reserve it for special occasions.
Wonderful old school style American beef! I loved it but my cardiologist not so much..but you only live once. Great attentive but not overbearing service. Could use an atmosphere facelift perhaps but maybe not--its part of the decades old vibe
Beautiful atmosphere our waiter was excellent made it more enjoyable!
The atmosphere and service were exceptional. We really felt welcomed and like they wanted to serve us well. Our server, Monica, was especially friendly and helpful. I give this review 4 stars because, while the meal was good, I don't feel the quality was up to the caliber of the price paid for it. I splurged for our anniversary and ordered a "Cowboy Cut" bone-on Ribeye steak that was unseasoned and contained more gristle than a steak of this caliber should have. It was tough to chew on pieces of it. I ordered an Oscar topping that was delicious and it provided the steak the only seasoning it had. It lacked salt which would have enhanced the flavor quite a bit. Everything else about our meal was great. The place is called "Chicago Prime Steakhouse" so, of all things that should be top-notch, it should be the steaks. It was overpriced for what we received.
After years of badgering my son to go here we went for restaurant week. He was very impressed and liked it better than Morton's. The chopped salad was fresh and attractive, the waiter accommodated my request for the cheese on the side. The only thing we liked better at Morton's was the mashed potatoes. They were nothing special. The Tiramisu was some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter was great, I think his name was George.
took advantage of the restaurant week pricing to visit Chicago Prime. The service was outstanding. the steaks were soft and full of flavor. The desert tasty. It is a good place to visit.
our reason for attending was to see and listen to tony ocean. our experience was enjoyable, and on this occasion it was to celebrate a birthday and enjoy the show and mingling with friends. our only concern was the limited dance floor: but we managed. Our server Jessica was very efficient and courteous. All considering it was an enjoyable evening. fyi: I ordered a cake to be served to us and guest but i could not believe that it cost with taxes 61.00. if i had known the cost i would have passed on it.
The food is great and the ambiance is even better!
The wait staff was outstanding and the food was great.
There are few places where you can always depend on excellent beef cooked to perfection. The spinach a gratin is outstanding as well
Birthday dinners for my wife and her side of the family. Several of the staff came over to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Cowboy cut stood out, but all the food was incredible. Overall, perfect experience!
I always love going to Chicago Prime Steak House. The only thing that disappointed me this time was that I went to experience the deal for restaurant week and it was not offered to me. I ended up spending twice as much as I had planned. However, as always, the food was outstanding.
For first time diners 2 of 4 had never been. he took or dinner order but did not ask for sides, we had to request. Also they were out of apple purse dessert . Odd on such a busy night to be out. Didn’t ask if we were celebrating Birthday even tho I noted in reservation. Wouldn’t go back.
We had never been to Chicago Prime but saw them on Restaurant week listing so thought we would try. Sat in bar area which was fine. Our waitress was great. Food portions were large and food was delicious. Would go back again and would recommend.
Bacon on the bacon wrapped steak was burnt so made the steak taste like burnt bacon
Everything was very good. Sat in the bar with live music which wasn’t too loud.
good but over-priced xxxxxxxxxxx
Friday night dinner at Chicago Prime was amazing! Not only were the drinks and dinner prepared to perfection, but the service and the ambiance were on point.
Unlike other steakhouses, Chicago Prime is quite unique. Chicago Prime prides itself on personal approach with family touch; it's easy when the George is present to greet and work the room like a master.
Thank you, George, for spoiling us with such an amazing staff and taste!

Wonderful atmosphere, service and food! Always a pleasure!
I'm a long time customer at Chicago Prime. It is an excellent business dinner or just plain casual location - I've used it for both requirements and will continue to do so.
Over all 7! Great place great food, good service
Always a winner -- our go-to place is Chicago Prime. The apple purse a la mode was our dessert this time and amazing. George the owner always takes such good care of his customers and is so debbonaire. Best service and food is here. The live vocalist was especially wonderful this evening. Thank you for an amazing meal and celebration!
pricey but but very top drawer. Great food and service
It was fantastic and our waiter was super attentive
Went on Valentine’s Day, will never dine there again on that day. Understanding that everyone was busy but the service was really poor. The manager (who I think) was just randomly selecting people for tables even if a lot of us were waiting for the reservation time (which they were 20 minutes behind on). The server was obviously preoccupied and when taking our order was looking around at his other tables. Asked how my husband would like his prime rib cooked (what?) and just assumed I wanted my steak cooked medium. Corrected him and prayed that he actually listened. Forgot our drinks twice. Food was good. The bus people were excellent. Any other day it is good, but I suggest not going on a holiday unless you want poor service. You are paying a lot of money to eat here, I expected better service.
Great food and service. Place was packed for Valentine’s Day. Loved the last buster macaroni.
Went for Valentine's Day with my wife. First time. Food and service were very good! I'll be back.
I’m actually surprised I’m leaving a negative experience due to all the positive reviews and I might of just had a bad server and management experience. We arrived promptly at our reservation time 6:30 and was seated immediately which was real nice considering how busy they were for Valentine’s Day. Our server Armand was pleasant and informative. It all went down hill when our food arrived and dropped off without our sever and sat on serving tray for about 10 minutes until I asked a passing server if it was our food she was very nice and served us. All of our food was room temp by that time and when my server finally arrived we had sent our food back they brought us new set of steaks but same deal not hot at all and didn’t want to make a big deal and wanted to continue with the evening . Asked for bread and water took 30 min. And when I expressed my experience with the manager he gave me a bottle of wine and aid I’m sorry what can I do I’m swamped with 50 people in the lobby waiting to be seated. Will consider giving it another try in hopes this was a special ocasión that over extended their capabilities of their services.
Celebrated Valentines Day 2018, and enjoyed our visit immensely! Superb food and drink with delightful ambiance! My husband and I had a Wonderful time and will definitely return for future celebrations!
Food, as always, was wonderful. And the service, as always, was equally wonderful. Servers are attentive, but the meal is never rushed.
We wanted a romantic evening to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This was our 2nd visit to Chicago Prime Steakhouse, & we look forward to many more visits for special celebrations. The ambience was quiet and reserved, and with reservations, we did not have to wait to get seated.
Both the manager and server paid exceptional attention to a member of our party, who has significant food allergies.
Portions are generous in size, with the entrees including a dinner salad or cup of soup. Everything was superb, even the steamed vegetables.
The only minor issue we had was with the Valet Service. Although free and a lovely bonus in a big parking lot, the attendant had far too many cars to keep up with when we arrived. After dinner, we had our car in a minute.
We arrived a little early for our reservation they seated us right away we were there celebrating Valentine's day got a nice quiet table in the corner drinks were on point service was great food was also great a little pricey but I think it's was the same $ as similar steakhouses we enjoyed our time together at Chicago prime
Enjoyed the exceptional service and delicious food at Chicago Prime! Everyone in our party was impressed with their meal. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortably quiet (enough to share a conversation). The only downsides are: it was a bit cold and costly (but worth it).
Outstanding service. Sheila was THE BEST....Great food
