Chicago Cut Steakhouse
Wonderful! We had Dana as our server and it was amazing and delicious
Love Chicago Cut- excellent service, perfectly prepared food.
First time in Chicago
Close to office. Superb in all categories. Earned success.
Awesome! Except for the guy at the next table in the bar area who was crop dusting for 2 hours.
Seating is really bunched together, making it difficult to get confortable in your seat.
The food and service were good as always. But it was so loud — in particular, there was a table of about eight people next to use with a woman who literally kept screaming with laughter. It was so loud that you couldn’t hear our waiter unless he was standing right next to you. We couldn’t here each other either, which was unfortunate because it was supposed to be a special dinner for my Dad with his daughters, since this is the first Christmas since we lost my mom. It really was a bummer because I love Chicago Cut, but it was difficult to enjoy our experience this time.
Chicago Cut is truly one of Chicago's greatest amenities; breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The service was great. I had a late reservation but my table was ready and was seated immediately. Server was quick and attentive. The atmosphere was elegant noisy but jubilant. Especially for being late on a Tuesday evening. I ordered the garlic spinach and broccoli and the bone in Ribeye. Once my order was placed and my drink arrived I was presented with a nice basket array of sweet and savory breads and butter. My main meal arrived literally 10 minutes after placing my order which is impeccable. My side dish was hand plated and and again the service was great. My steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was wonderful. The one criticism I had was I was disappointed with the tenderness of the meat. Being a ribeye and prime cut the tenderness should have been fantastic and the cut was far from it. I would dine again to see if it was an anomaly.
Steak and seafood is always perfection at Chicago Cut. Bone-in filet mignon was tender and perfectly grilled. Lobster tails were tender and juicy. Service impeccable. High noise and very tight seating are my only complaints.
Too loud; staff pushy
As always outstanding!
We celebrated my husbands 75th, and the whole dining experience was magical! Thank you, Meghan, for helping us score the best seat in the house!
Service and quality justify the price. ____________________________________________________
Amazing service with Eli as usual
reservations at 9pm however only was seated at 930 after I followed up with the hostess. Appeared she had forgotten about our party. Why make reservations if you’re still forced to wait.
From the service to the drinks, food, and over ambiance, Chicago Cut is a fun steakhouse. It's big open dining room is loud, but very entertaining. Steaks are some of the best I've ever had.
The servers and host staff were less than cordial. Food was wonderful.
Great service. Tables packed to close together. Noise level way too loud
Very good food, unmatched service.....
Nice Steakhouse atmosphere, very enjoyable evening...
Chicago Cut is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion! It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The food is excellent and the service was outstanding!
Great service as usual, but was quite a bit noisy due to a visiting hockey team dining when we visited.
Service was over the top and our meals were incredible!
I would give 10 stars if I could- we had a moment with a server who was having a bad day.. but all other servers and managers- food and everything was above and beyond! It will not disappoint you.
Great food and great service.! First time there, but will be on my list for my next Chicago trip.
Our waiter was a bit over the top. Do not recommend the mac n cheese but everything else was delicious.
The service we had on Thursday, December 7, was outstanding. My daughter and two young grandchildren were served well. All of our orders were basically a la carte and came out perfect. They kept our water glasses and coffee cups filled. Everyone was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return to Chicago Cut.
Great food and selections for lunch.
My bone in rib eye was not tender and had a large piece of grisle in it. Far from the best steak I’ve had. Service was good however and the wine selection was very good.
Terrific food and service. Noise level is high.
Very pricey. Careful.
We celebrated 2 birthdays with a party of 10 and it was a blast! The service was amazing and the restaurant is so beautifully decorated for the holiday season.
It was our first time dining at Chicago Cut. My family started a Christmas tradition 18 years ago when we moved to the Chicago area, picking a different restaurant to eat and taking in all the Christmas splendor.
We've had some disappointments over the years, but Chicago Cut was outstanding. Our waiter Mark, was wonderful, ambience was so festive and the food was delicious! Not going to lie...it's very expensive, but worth it if you're celebrating something special. We have already decided to make it our special Christmas dinner next year.
Well, I was rather disappointed. It had taken me some time to get the reservation for 3. My husband and I arrived a little early and had a glass of wine in the bar, but our guest was running late, and showed up a bare 5 minutes before the ‘15 minute’ rule that has you lose your reservation if you are 15 minutes over your reserved time. I asked if the two of us could be seated anyway as our guest was on her way and we were told a flat “no!” All people must be present. Such a stupid and needlessly stressful attitude.
Anyway she made it, and we were seated. But the noise level was awful. We could not have a normal conversation and ended up almost yelling in order to be heard.
The food was good but not fabulous. We had sea bass, tuna, steak and oysters.
It’s a very expensive restaurant. Way too expensive to justify a mediocre experience.
birthday, great service and amazing food.
Was nice as always
We have been to this restuarant several times and never had issues. This time was different we were put at a table where you could not move right on top of people to the right and behind. The food was good we felt rushed to get done and got the check immediately after dinner. After the lady came to clean up one person in our party asked her for a capachino . Well the waiter got upset cause he already ran the bill and made a comment to the lady that cleaned the table why she took that order. I thought it was on the bill and it wasn’t so I tried to get the waiters attention finally I got it to ask if that was on the bill it wasn’t then it was like a bother to rerun the bill.
The food is good but for the price you can find a lot restaurants in chicago that have same quality for better price. We will find one of the other restaurants next time.
The attention to detail and impeccable service makes this a place to which we frequently return. An excellent wine list with servers who know wine is a plus. I do not eat meat. So what am I doing at a steakhouse? My friends are meat eaters and I usually order sides at such places. At Chicago Cut, there is a split pea soup by the bowl that is exceptional in every way. It is a full meal when accompanied by bread. Add to all of the above is the killer view of the Chicago river. It is a perfect place for lunch or dinner.
Food was delicious and service was awesome. Would definitely recommend.
Every aspect of the evening was great - the som directed the whole meal with his wine and food suggestions and charismatic personality. His choices were all spot on. Lobstercargo, bone in filet and ribeye, and creme brûlée for dessert. We recommend requesting a booth as it makes the experience much more intimate. The view along the river doesn’t hurt either. This one jumped to the top of our favorite steakhouses in the city.
