Chicago Cut Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Staff was great, good job helping us select wine. Service was really good also. Unfortunately, I've been to a dozen steakhouses that are very similar in the city, and Chicago Cut was priced 15-20% higher than what I'm accustomed to. That wouldn't be an issue, but I didn't find the steak to be better than Gibson's, Bavette's, or a few others. Also, the tables are all so close together, so it becomes difficult to have private conversation. All in all, everything would have been fine if the steaks were great. I just didn't find that to be the case.
From the moment we were greeted by the host until the moment we left , we received five star service along with an unforgettable experience. Dennis, our server was extremely professional while still very personable. He did an amazing job of guiding us through our dinner. My fiance and I let him know that we were there celebrating valentines day, and we were surprised with a dessert on the house at the end of our meal. I would definitely recommend Chicago Cut - not only do they have amazing views, but also amazing service!
Wonderful. Food was excellent and service was attentive. Although it was a little tight due to Valentine's traffic. They have obviously squeezed many 2 person tables in for the holiday. I hope to return on a future trip when service is not adjusted to commodate the large number.
Stepping in and greeted by a great host, she confirmed my reservation and was seated promptly even though I arrived early 30 min. I was immediately attended even though I was there alone on Valentine’s Day. place was full but I could not tell by the attention I received. I selected my appetizer the lobsterscargot the waiter suggested the marinaded Cajun ribeye and that was a superb suggestion I added the asparagus and mushrooms with a baked potato with everything paired with a a nice glass of red wine. Service was excellent my glass was always full and was continually serviced to all my needs. In a huge room full of happy couples I was never left feeling overlooked. The steak was served to perfection. The whole experience was truly a unique. I highly recommend this steakhouse as one must go to in Chicago. I can not wait to visit this gem of an establishment again soon enough.
Valentines dinner. Food was deliciously prepared. Crab cake and key lime pie was outstanding. Most importantly thanks to the bartender Greg, I had the perfect Cosmo. Staff was very knowledgeable with excellent table service management. My new fav steakhouse.
Returning customer. Server didn’t check back for a long time after main course. Holy Grail Steak was not good. It was bad and not what i expected. I Always enjoy a large steak and Chicago Cut is my all time favorite. Dessert was bad. Key lime pie was not good and I love key lime pie.
Our server, Dio, was outstanding. He was attentive to every request and inquiry we had. The occasion was my wife's birthday. That day marked the first time we had gone to Chicago Cut. We had heard that the food was great and the service first rate. We were not disappointed. I had the skirt steak and it was cooked exactly how I wished. It came hot and I enjoyed it all. My wife had the lobster trio and loved it. Sides were corn and hash browns. Both were excellent. When our meal was served, several staff members helped serve each dish. My wife received a complimentary desert in honor of her birthday. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and will be returning soon!
Our server was great but the restaurant host/hostess were terrible. I requested for window side table at the time of reservation 3 weeks prior then called same day to confirm about this. But still they didn’t have this for us. We were hosting special guest from overseas. Wanted to make sure to entertain them. This place is not good for business meal. It’s more for tourists.
Steak was great. I wouldn’t recommend the truffle scalloped potatoes. They made my fiancé sick the next day. The nurse told her that truffle oil is synthetic and there are a lot of chefs who won’t use it. I’m glad I know this now so we can stay away from it. I just don’t think this place is worth $400 for 2 people.
This was a reservation for my daughter and her soon to be fiance. The restaurant worked with him to prepare arrangements and the entire staff was very helpful with his planning for the proposal. Thanks for making their day extra special with service above and beyond the call.
The restaurant was able to accommodate our request to sit at the window to enjoy the cityscape (thanks!). Our server Nimo(spelling?) was excellent. We started with the lobsterescargot, which was a great recommendation! We enjoyed our steaks too! The cocktails were splendid but quite pricey. Overall good experience!
Beautiful location, really lovely people, food was good but not worth the price. The Holy Grail (their specialty) was sold out - we were there at 830pm on a Saturday night - & when the second choice arrived at the table, it was very undercooked (he ordered it med rare so you can imagine what this looked like). All in all, we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
My family and I visited Chicago Cut before the theater on a Saturday night. We made our reservation only one hour before dining, but we were treated to a premiere table with top-notch service, even at a moment's notice. Our dining experience was outstanding from cocktails to dessert, and everything in between . We anxiously await our next opportunity to return to Chicago Cut!
