Chicago Cut Steakhouse is one of Chicago’s most iconic dining experiences in a city that boasts dozens of options for steak-centric dining. Our downtown Chicago steakhouse offers guests a selection of signature, USDA-certified prime beef that is hand-cut and dry-aged on site. Our curated menu also features fish, shellfish, chops and a selection of unique side dishes and appetizers. In addition to delicious martinis and specialty cocktails, Chicago Cut offers a wine list with more than 600 bottles that has been highlighted Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine. Our dining area features a lively bar scene, vibrant red velvet banquettes and spacious dining tables, private dining options and beautiful, sweeping views of the Chicago River. In the warm months, we also open our sprawling outdoor dining patio, which makes Chicago Cut an excellent spot for an outdoor brunch, lunch or dinner reservation along the river.

    Third time at Chicago Cut, it’s definitely nothing like it used to be. The ribeye was hard to cut and hard to chew. Someone else ordered the prime rib and they couldn’t finish it as it wasn’t as good as you would think since it’s called the Holy Grail. My white wine was served warm. And the service was not worth the cost of this place. They were so pushy to clear your glasses and plated before you are even finished. One of us had a glass of red wine. There was some left, not much, but still a couple hundred of sips left and they wanted to take it away!!! WTH! I hate hate the feeling of having to “protect” my food and drinks from being taken away before I’m done. Lastly, I wanted to see the whisky list and the waiter said “oh I can tell you we have bulleit and a rye”, you want any of those? I had to literally ask him to go and get me the menu. Why is it so hard? I told him I have bulleit at home, why would want that here? I probably won’t come here again.

    One of the better dinners I’ve had in a while! Food was amazing and the drinks were strong. The service was really what took this to the next level, Alicia and Alfredo were fantastic. Highly recommend, will be back!

    Overpriced. As Chicago local and fans of Gibson’s, figured we’d manage expectations on a place too close to the tourist spots to be fully valued by the quality of the food. The best part was the free bread with cheese. I ordered medium rare and my fiancé medium and our orders must’ve been switched because my was dry and his was the more red one. The sides were small and overpriced (lobster Mac and cheese barely had any visible lobster). Overall highly underwhelmed by quality of food compared to price!

    Our service and atmosphere were outstanding. But the food was not on par with the outrageous pricing. A Cobb Salad should follow its classic origins: egg, chicken , bacon, bleu cheese, etc. Mine was missing most of the standard ingredients or they were so minimal as to be a non-factor. I'll try it again but the food must improve.
