   Energetic atmosphere (loud), great service. Food was just ok for the prices. Small piece of halibut for $53, and nothing special in the preparation. Waiter didn’t ask or tell us a blend of red wine he chose was $30 a glass, (could have recommended choices and prices). Also gave me a more expensive Chardonnay when I asked for a less expensive glass without telling us. Steak was good. Good for a special occasion, good vibe, good service, but they do try to drive the bill up. I understand that but don’t be sneaky about it.

   Out while on a weekend trip to Chicago for spring break. Total splurge, but did not disappoint. Started with the bacon appetizer. Then onto dinner. My daughter and I split the filet and lobster tails, son had center cut filet, and husband had NY strip. All were amazing. Sides were mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and lobster Mac and cheese. Delicious! Ended dinner with their chocolate cake and carrot cake. Both beyond amazing. I wish I remembered our server’s name, because he was awesome! Treated us and the kids to a perfect night and meal. Highly recommend!!!

   I reserved a table for five for my birthday and the room was very tight but we were content. I ordered the ribeye and was brought out prime rib and I was kinda pushed to keep it but stuck to my choice of meat. The steaks were over cook beyond the temperature. I would go back during the week or for lunch to try other items. Over all I enjoyed my dining experience there.

   You get what you pay for. Yes the prices are high but so is the service and quality of food. The steak melted in my mouth. This was actually the first time I ever ordered a steak and didn’t have to send it back. The service is friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. I will definitely be a regular. The Mac n cheese was delicious. Everything is delicious. Thank you guys for the cheesecake. Of course it was exceptional. They have some of the best cooks. Loved it!!!!!

    We were seated at a nice table by the windows, and the service was perfect, the meal was perfect. Pricing I thought was a little more than other steakhouses on the same level, but the service was worth it.

    The service was outstanding. Our server Tony went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and he wZ very quick and attentive with our champagne refills! The river view is gorgeous with the city lights. Steak was pleasant (we got chicago/philly style). Would go again!

    Compared to other fine dining steak houses, Chicago Cut needs to improve the quality of their food. If I'm going to pay top dollar for a steak, it needs to be better than what they present. When you season a prime steak, it does not need to be over salted. The quality of the meat should speak for itself. I give them 5 stars for service, but only 3 stars for food. I know the cost of prime beef is high, but for the quality and portions they serve, I consider them to be overpriced. They at least should hire an executive chef who knows how to prepare a good steak!

    The noise level was off the charts too loud. The bussers kept bumping into me which was rather annoying. The waiter was clearly frustrated with his bussing staff.

    What a classy joint! Upscale, fresh and modern take on the classic Midwest steakhouse vibe. The food was decadent and delicious, from the lobster starter to the bone-in ribeye (it’s huge, make sure to bring a teammate!) we did not have one bad bite. The service was IMPECCABLE. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, not stuffy at all like some of these fancy places can get. Our food came out lightning fast and all the little details were in place—chilled plates for salads and desserts, crumbs constantly swept off the table by bussers, water always getting refilled. This place is the real deal. Check it out if Smith & Wollensky is too 70s for you.

    Very dry meat, overcooked. Very loud. Literally needed to scream to talk at our table. I’m appreciative to have a restaurant to eat at post-Covid but it wasn’t very good for a significant cost. Enjoyed the wine.

    We had a most enjoyable evening. Julian was considerate and helpful with his knowledge of Chicago Cut and it excellent fare. Bravo to the Chef and entire kitchen. The birthday surprise dessert was delicious… tiramisu is a favorite.

    From the moment we walked in the door everything was fabulous. We were seated immediately and greeted by Chris who took care of us for the duration of our meal. He did not miss one detail & made our evening one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had. He was proficient explaining the story behind the incredible steaks offered on the menu as well as describing each of the delicious sides making it difficult to choose - but of course with his suggestions- we selected the perfect combination of vegetables & potatoes to compliment our dinner. Throughout the night Chris checked in to ensure our needs were met without being overbearing or rushing us out the door. It was truly a dining experience from the inviting atmosphere to the awesome music playlist & the beautiful view of the city. I would highly recommend dining with Chicago Cut Steakhouse during your next visit or night out in Chicago - you will not be disappointed- oh and be sure to save room for dessert!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Always a Chicago staple. Staff is attentive, skilled, and discreet. Not a fan of steak in general, but this restaurant is a HUGE cut above the ‘general’ rest. Simply marvelous.

    Not quite what I was expecting. Thought it was going to be more elegant and chic. Yes I know it's a steakhouse but it was more meet up with old frat brothers steakhouse vs elegant date night steakhouse. It was quite loud inside, the tables are very close together, no table decor or ambiance when seated. Thought there was going to be a nice view but it really didn't seem that spectacular. They over fill your water glass every time so you are bound to spill a bit on yourself or table when you take a sip. The bread basket was weak and the butter was solid so spreading it was a pain on the stale bread. Details like these make for a unpleasant experience on a restaurant I had high hopes for. The corn and whipped potatos were just okay. Sea bass was fine. The vibe in the room was again confusing. Felt more like a nice sports bar than a high end steakhouse. I wouldn't return nor recommend to a friend.

    While this is a business lunch meeting destination it was extremely loud , could barely hear people at my table , so if you need to have important conversation I would choose a different spot .

    We were greeted at the door by an attendant who opened the door for us. A pleasant surprise. The hostess also greeted us promptly and our table was ready without waiting. The dining room was vibrant and had great view of the city, river, etc. Our server was wonderful, attentive and explained things well. We came to Chicago Cut to have a great steak. I truly cannot say enough about the service, we ordered a steak to split and they cut it and served it on two plates for us. Likewise the Caesar salad we ordered to split and they did that as well. Our disappointment was the temperature of the steak served. The server and the manager did an exceptional job attempting to get the steak served correctly. Needless to say, they had another steak prepared, that too did not work out well. They suggested another steak to serve and this one was better. They wanted to buy us a dessert and we were thankful but we were full. The server came back to the table and indicated they were picking up the whole meal including the bottle of wine we ordered. This was totally unexpected and much appreciated. They provided us with dessert to take with us regardless. Overall management did all they could to make it work out for us and it was noticed and appreciated. Based on their overall service and effort I would go again and would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

    All of the food and service was absolutely incredible! Everything from salad to the filet to the crème brûlée was delicious. Our server was so personable and helpful and knew the perfect amount to check and make sure we had what we needed but was not overbearing at all. The staff was also great in portioning out food for our party of 4 which just allowed us to enjoy the food and enjoy ourselves. Highly highly recommend for a special occasion dinner!!
