Marinated Skirt Steak* (8oz)
Our eaiter Frank was outstanding. Basically all of the servers were, we actually commented how they ran like a well oiled machine. Food was outstanding.
Best spot in River North area. I am a regular supporter for lunch or dinner.
Chi Cut was great. We had a 3pm reservation which was perfect for outside seating on the Chi River and enjoying Summer time Chi. Peter our server was overly great! We had mix ups in our steaks they all were not seasoned well in my opinion. The anniversary complimentary dessert was delicious!! Overall experience was great we will go back!!
Everything about this place is great! Food, Service, View all top notch!
Very delicious. Perfect food. He was a great server.
I was a little disappointed with the initial experience. I took my mother for her birthday because she wanted to eat on the water. I specified this on the reservation. When I got there we were seated outside but not on the water. The host was really nice and said she’d try to get us a table. The manager wasn’t as pleasant. He wasn’t mean but it felt like we were being an inconvenience to him. At one point, he wanted to move us to the bar while we waited even though there were two or three tables open that we could’ve moved to. At the end of the night those tables were STILL OPEN. But he made it seem like a big deal to be moved. I still gave the place a good rating because it does have a nice vibe and ambiance outside(which part of the credit has to be given to the Chicago summer but I digress). He probably had some preconceived notion about what we would or wouldn’t spend. The food is good but not spectacular. The cajun steak is a little salty. The drinks are great. Sitting on the water is great. I would only go for that. The inside is too noisy. The actual server, Peter, was great as well.
The service was hands down the best part of the meal. I can’t say enough about how attentive the staff was. The food fell short for me, however. I ordered the bone in filet and my husband the prime rib. Neither in my opinion were as good as some of the other nicer steak houses we have eaten at. The views were also great!
Anniversary dinner with my wife.
Steak was not up to par and seriously overpriced for what we were served. Outside table was beat up and appeared unclean and should have been covered with a table cloth or placemats. Service personnel were great. We will not return.
Great service on the patio , spectacular views and easy to conduct business
I took my two sons on a mom/son date. We were treated like a million bucks! Food was awesome, as usual!
We ate outside on the perfect Chicago day. Service was attentive and food didn’t disappoint.
The best steakhouse in the country🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇮🇨🇮
Always great and consistent quality and service.
Terrific outdoor dining.
Great group of hands on managers and special
thanks to Matt Deasy.
Marco, our server, AWESOME!
The lobster escargot appetizer was aweful.
Crab cake was fair to good
For $100 a person, everything should be great.
Not going back
We enjoyed our experience at Chicago Cut Steakhouse. The food and service were outstanding.
Some of the best service I ever had. Food was just average, and really not the price. I was happy overall because the service was outstanding.
Wonderful service as always.
Will definitely be back soon
Came highly recommended and didn’t deliver on any level. Didn’t get a server for 25 mins after being sat down not even for a drink order. Had to flag down a employee to make them aware we were forgotten about. Ordered the porterhouse medium the filet was well done and the strip side was medium well. The saving grace was the fries at least they were done properly.
Food and service was great. Great location on the river. There was plenty staff for the dinner crowd. Lobstercargo is the best appetizer I've ever had. I should have ordered 2. I tried the parmagiana and the portions are large enough to feed a family of 4. Celebrated husbands 40th bday - enjoyed the complimentary bday dessert. Will definitely go back to celebrate another event there. Loved the Frose drink - it wasn't watered down or sweet but very strong and you could actually taste the alcohol - was pleasantly surprised.
We love Chicago Cut. The food, service and ambiance are great. We enjoyed a shrimp cocktail and drinks and wine that were delicious. My husband and son enjoyed delicious steaks and I had the Dover sole that was excellent. We had a great booth inside and most of the people were outside. Thanks for a fantastic meal to celebrate my birthday on 9/11.
Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Food and drinks were amazing, can’t wait to go back already.
It was our anniversary… service and food was amazing
Overall, I do not recommend Chicago Cut.
First off, the service and food was excellent. Beef was cooked exactly as ordered. Our server was spot on with his suggestions and did a wonderful job.
There is a big “however” though: the cocktail prices are an amazing rip-off! $19 for a Grey Goose rocks is pretty steep; and when I ordered rye on the rocks the server suggested Angel’s Envy—and it was $38!!! SERIOUSLY? Yes, it’s pricey stuff, but not that pricey! So our three drinks—all straight on the rocks—we’re $100 with tax and tip.
If you still want to go, be sure to ask “how much is…” before you order a drink. They probably count on people being too shy to ask, and too proud to complain. That’s just sad.
This was our first time at CUT and it was amazing! The bacon is an amazing appetizer and their drinks are delicious. Our steak and sides were perfect. Highly recommend for a nice date night or after work spot. Bryan Flick was our waiter and did an amazing job. Will definitely be returning
Our waiter, Peter, was outstanding and made our wedding anniversary dinner extra special and memorable. It was a wonderful experience.
Wonderful food. Best steak in Chicago!
The food is always consistent. Some of the best in the city. The service is incredible from the hostesses to the server and everyone in between. We were lucky to have Matthew one of our favorites. He really goes above and beyond. Always a memorable time at Cut!!!!!!!
Went to Chicago Cut for our son's 13th birthday because he wanted to go to a steakhouse and it was perfect. We all loved the food and the patio next to the river was entertaining. It was a beautiful night and when is started to sprinkle, the staff immediately put up beautiful awnings. Service was great and valet parking was quick and easy.
Annual trip to Chicago and always go to Cut. Some of the best service I’ve ever had!
Great food and service.
Amazing experience! The views are amazing
Our waitress was really kind and gave great recommendations.
Have been here many many times and never disappoints. Will return as long as they’ll have me. I’ve had many steak options and my husband loves the sea bass but on this visit had pistachio crusted halibut and was delicious
Great food, try the lobster escargot. Very rich and delicious. Big portions, ask for a Riverview table outside. Epic views excellent food great service
Wonderful night-the food is always excellent quality and our Server Julia was fantastic. Can't wait to go back. I recommend all my friends here
Hun was the best server we’ve had. The food was beyond perfect! Get the Lobsterscargot app- you won’t be disappointed. Best filet I’ve ever had and cooked perfectly. If we could afford to go here every night while on our trip, we would!
Service was great. Food was a typical steakhouse.
Wine menu was average at best. And they need better glasses.
