This was our first time at Chicago Chop House - we loved the atmosphere and the bar tender made it much more enjoyable by educating us on the history of the restaurant and mixology. Our server was fun, knowledgable and endearing. The food was some of the best we've had in Chicago. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at The Chop House, a restaurant I had been looking forward to dining at for quite some time. We arrived early, and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. Our server, Dan, was a true highlight to the meal: He offered us not only fantastic recommendations, but his sense of humor was unrivaled! There was no significant wait time between courses, nor were we rushed with our meal. The steak (Wagyu) experience was exceptional and the rest of the food items were on par with the main entree. I would recommend The Chop House to anyone visiting Chicago who wishes to have a great foodie experience!

Server Luis, and his server staff team were amazing; attentive, polite, responsive and considerate. There were four of us and the Oyster Rockefeller, wedge salad, Tomahawk steaks and fillets, were all big hits. We prefer the classic ambience of Chicago Chop House to the numerous loud, bright and modern steak houses. My only precaution, a medium steak is closer to rare than medium so order accordingly.

This was not my first visit. My fillet was perfect. My husband was not happy with his tomahawk ribeye for the price. Everything else was perfection from the noise level to our server. I would definitely go back. The truffle mac and cheese was delicious!

I loved the experience it was very nice to come when it wasn't crowded. The server was absolutely amazing, the food was good but the steak came out cold the first time and the second it wasn't cooked to the right temperature so my guest was upset and it was their first so unfortunately they don't want to come back.

Waiter kept up-selling even though we were stuffed beyond belief. Everything he tried to upsell was the most expensive. On the bill, there was even a separate "credit card" fee. I have no idea if this is something hat Chicago does, but I have never heard of that before. 3 people..... $600... buyer beware... I'm never going back.

Rick was our waiter and he was 100% ! Very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was excellent. I eat a lot steak in this town and this night was pretty much at the top. My GFs birthday was tonight and they brought us lava cake that was perfect. What could I possibly be upset about?? Oh ya — the Credit Card fee !!!! Had I known there was a CC fee I would’ve paid cash. Also — wtf charges CC fees at this level? A small convenience store - totally get it. It just a small business owner trying to survive. But a restaurant that charges these kids of prices? It comes off as cheap and insulting. Anyway - bring cash

At 7:00pm the restaurant was practically empty. There were only 2 other people. Service was excellent. Had onion soup which were ok. Then we had one dry aged medium ribeye which was very hard. Left more than half of it. My wife had chicken parmigiana which was way bland and overpriced. Will I go back… no. Will check other steak houses.

Went here with a group of 7 for my birthday on 2/26. The service and overall restaurant was great, the food and prices were a little lackluster. I got the tomahawk which wasn’t any bigger than the cowgirl steak but cost $50 more. So you’re basically paying for a long bone and less meat. The sides were just okay but our server Louis was excellent and attentive so A+ for that. Chicago Chop House isn’t one of the best steakhouses in Chicago but it definitely isn’t one of the worst, it’ll be situated in the middle of the pack.
