Service felt rushed. Table next to us kept having people(Several employees and owner/manager come over to talk to them and we felt we were part of their conversation. Very distracting.
Phenomenal food. Service was pretty good for a busy night. Loved the appetizers. Great wine / beer list, same goes for the cocktails.
Second time here. Great both times. Cocktails are excellent and food is amazing. Portions are perfectly sized. Great little restaurant with a very attentive staff. This will be a regular spot for me.
I grew up in a culinary family so I am an unabashed food snob. If you love food this is for you. If you love just getting full, go somewhere else.
My wife and I went to Chiara Bistro to celebrate her birthday this past week. When the waitress came to our table, my wife informed her that she suffers from celiac disease. She further explained that it was a gluten allergy and not just an intolerance. The waitress then replied, "Gluten allergy, intolerance, it's all the same thing!" We were shocked by her indifference and flippant attitude to such a serious food allergy. How could an upscale restaurant take such a laissez faire position? The waitresses' attitude towards my wife's disorder put a damper on the rest of our experience. Warning: if you suffer from a food allergy, DO NOT dine here!
AMAZING!!! What a find! Be back over and over!
I love this restaurant. The service is great and the food is always delicious. The menu has many intriguing choices and I'm always torn between which of the wonderful sounding meals to order. My only criticism is that the entrees are not huge so you really will want to order a starter, salad or side dish which pushes the cost of the meal up quite a bit.
One of our go to spots. Always wonderful. Great destination.
It's always great...food, service, ambiance and people.
.... very accommodating with a wheelchair ... had a lovely dinner ....delicious food....wonderful service ....the best of the best!!!
Very good experience. From hostess to table to menu to server, all excellent. Food prepared very well. Great time with friends and celebrating an anniversary.
This time my wife and I celebrated her birthday at this excellent restaurant. No need to say that the service was again at a very high level, discrete but o so efficient and personal. The food has always been well prepared & delicious and this time it wasn't different. We really enjoyed our dinner, even hours and days later. :-) You notice that the owners are closely involved and make sure that every detail is ok. Great job! This is one of the few restaurants we always return to and it never disappoints.
Food was excellent. Noise level much to loud sat next to bar people who are standind behind low partition much too close to diners. I couldn't hear my wife clearly because of conversations from bar area. Would go back if I can get better seating.
This attractive restaurant exceeded our expectations. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the dining and kitchen areas. From a distance, it appeared that the kitchen was run professionally with a crew that enjoyed what they were doing. Everyone in our party loved their dinners. The dessert was perfect as well.
Fantastic - as usual.....will be returning regularly
a very good neighborhood restaurant; well-trained wait staff
Great dinner last night at Chiara. Our waitress Tracy helped me choose between a few options and knows the menu perfectly and can describe the dishes how you'd think the chef would want them described. Had lobster roll which had a lot of lobster, great seasoning, and was well put together. Wife had the gnocchi which is always spot on. Would eat there every day if I could.
Truly excellent food. We were thrilled with everything we had: appetizers, main course, dessert. An hour's drive for us but well worth it, and easy to find and to park.
Fantastic, creative, and tasty food with very diverse wine list for all budgets. Very, very knowledgeable waiting personnel. Great experience!
Though we don't often dine out, we keep returning to this incredible restaurant [or, if you prefer = bistro] at least two or three times a year. ALWAYS superb food - ALWAYS friendly service - ALWAYS charming atmosphere. TOTAL EXCELLENCE!
This is one of our favorite places, and we have been many times. Still, for our anniversary CHIARA did not disappoint. We had a lovely meal with an outstanding server. We will be back again and again.
Our meals were both outstanding, as was the service. The owners, Steve and Michele, both stopped by our table to say hello. We really appreciate that. It is very nice to be greeted by them.
Delicious meal and great, accommodating service. Cozy atmosphere.
Fabulous, Downtown quality and ambience without the drive. Hands on owner/chef . Every course 5 star quality. Fabulous.
The swordfish was outstanding and my guest is very particular about their swordfish. Planning to return soon for more.
We went for dinner and the experience was superb. Delicious food and great service. Will come back!
Great selection of flavored! Nice presentation. A wonderful menu with interesting and delicious selections. Service is excellent. The wine selections were spot on. We had a terrific time.
The food, service and ambience was excellent. It was just a bit overpriced. I will return at some point and would surely recommend to friends. But it will need be a special occasion where I am happy to spend a bit more than I should for what you get.
Amazing meal! We loved our 2 apps, dinners and wine. Everything was delicious.
A great choice in MetroWest Boston for fine dining. Always a great experience. Highly recommend.
Way overpriced ($30 for a lobster roll), nothing special to mention. Service was below average for this type of diner, all they cared for is us ordering more drinks. Not worth the drive to Westwood.
Came up from Florida to celebrate with friend who completed breast cancer treatment. The place was FREEZING....even the waitress admitted it. It was this week when for July it was cold and rainy outside and they should have adjusted the temp for this...we had to put coats over our shoulders while eating! My legs were freezing!
We ordered steaks ($39 each.ridiculous price) and I got a burger. Fries which I had previously liked were way overdone and dry and obviously dark in color..any chef worth their salt would have thrown them out and tried again....3 of us had them and they were all overdone ......just awful experience and WAY overpriced........place was packed but I feel that it is more because there is little for options versus it being such a fabulous place.
We were really disappointed as we had such great meals there before in the last 6 years .....won't go back when we come home to Massachusetts again and certainly won't recommend
We had another excellent meal at Chiara Bistro. They never fail to impress. My short rib gnocchi was delicious. My wife got the cannelloni and it was also fantastic. The owner recommended a Montepulciano that matched the dishes perfectly. They even gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary! Highly recommended!
We've been to this restaurant numerous times and it never disappoints! The food is innovative and delicious and the service is phenomenal!
It was our first time there and we were very pleased with the overall experience. The food and service were excellent. We both had the scallops served over a lobster risotto. Cooked just right. The prices are a little on the expensive side but for a special occasion it is worth it. We will definitely come again.
We have not been to Chiara in a while so we decided to take my 91-year-old parents there for their 67th anniversary. We requested a quiet table, however, we were put in the front of the restaurant which had us worried. They tried to move us however, the back room was booked. Enter, our waitress, Tracey. What a delight! She was cheery, patient and sweet so we felt like we were in good hands. She treated my folks like royalty! We started with the gnocchi and the calamari as appetizers for the table. Both were absolutely delicious and nice-sized portions- the perfect size for 5 people to share. For dinner, two of us had the chicken. I am not one to usually get chicken when dining out, but this was everything Tracey said it would be-mouthwatering with absolutely yummy flavors in every bite. One of us had the pork chop dish. I had a bite. The chop was so thick and juicy and paired perfectly with a creamy, delectable risotto. Others at the table had the salmon and the cod which they also raved about-tons of flavor. All dishes were a nice-sized serving which made us full by dessert time. While we passed on ordering dessert, Tracey presented the table with a plate of cookies that had Happy Anniversary written on the plate. It made the meal! In the end, the noise level was not as bad as we had anticipated in the location we were sitting either. It is rare these days to find a restaurant with top notch service and food combined. We will definitely be returning!
Been coming here since it opened. Great to find a place that consistently delivers excellent food and service. Had the pork chop, which has actually been a staple on the menu since it opened, for the first time and loved it- juicy and very flavorful. Can't believe I've missed out on this dish for so long.
Heard great things about this restaurant and it lived up to my expectations. Great food as good as any Boston restaurant
We ate from the fixed price menu for Father's Day. The food was fantastic....soft shell crab, rack of lamb, desserts. The service was almost fantastic. The owner (presumedly) was around and involved. It lacked a little ambiance but maybe because we sat in a funny spot.
Chiara was small and homey. Four of us tried it for the first time on a Saturday night..service was outstanding and the food was very good.
Have been to Chiara many times -have never been disappointed. Food is cooked perfectly and
beautifully presented. Good drinks and excellent wine list!
