Food was not the best.
I ordered the lobster ravioli.
It tasted like a lobster paste out of a can.....Ughhhhhh
We celebrated Mother’s Day here. My wife loved it as well as we did. We look forward to a return visit. Excellent food & service.
I looked at their menu prior to going to the restaurant. There was no mention that things would be different because it was Mother's day. We went there for lunch. When I arrived they gave us a menu that was more than doubled in price. My daughter ordered the raviolis with walnut cream sauce the menu on line says $13 they chard $30. The bruschetta was $10 on the online menu and the menu at the restaurant charged $18. My Mom's food had a hair in it so she had nothing. My risotto was yellow rice very watery with shellfish not a good flavor to the risotto. My mom had a watery lemonade and my daughter had one mimosa while I drank water. NEVER going back total rip off for lunch for two $120.
From the time we walked in to the end of dinner, everything was great. Exceptional service and great food. Thank You
Always good been their 15 times if you want Italian come here you’ll be glad
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. It was a bit spendy but we wanted a nice lunch that day and we got it. What more could a person want?
Always a dependable place to dine. Quality of food and service spot on.
Easter lunch. On point
Great service, atmosphere and food. Out door seating. Staff was friendly and helpful with the recommendations.
Great food, wonderful service!
Work friends birthday party
My wife and I typically have dinner at Chianti Reserve once every few weeks. It is located in a prime spot in downtown Pleasanton. The owner is very friendly (if a bit loud) and service is prompt. Most recently, we had the halibut (a special) and spaghetti and meatballs, along with wine and a martini. The halibut would have been better without the dill sauce but the portion was more than ample. We took home half of the spaghetti and meatballs. The restaurant also has an outdoor dining area which is nice when the weather permits. We think the restaurant is one of the better Italian restaurants in Pleasanton which is why it is on our rotation. Dinner with drinks will be in the neighborhood of $100.
Everyone at our table enjoyed the very delicious meals served. From the seafood-based to the vegetarian options, all were winners!
We also agreed that the very homey atmosphere was perfect for celebrating family birthdays. This was the 4th time we gathered there and it certainly won't be the last!
Great food and service. We had the whole place to ourselves.
Cozy spot in downtown Pleasanton with authentic Italian menu. Several specials (a little pricey) but we found good choices in the menu. Everything was fine, and the food was served piping hot, which is a big deal to me. Service was friendly but not intrusive.
We had a reservation for 3 but only 2 of us could make it. Good food and wonderful service. I have been going to Chianti’s for year. Always love coming back and taking new people to dinner here.
Good food, great service, an intimate family run place.
Wow, what a great find. A small Italian restaurant owned run by a family. Went there on late Valentines Day dinner and everything was absolutely delicious. Waiting staff was friendly and helpful, a real pleasure to ho. Can’t wait to go again.
Chianti Reserve was recommended by a family member. The restaurant was beautiful and a great location. The service was impeccable, the server, manager and hostess all checked in with us from time to time and made Valentine's Day more special. The food was beyond my expectation and our server, Francesco, offered suggestions. We will definitely go back soon. Lunch and dinner are both great.
Night out with cousins
They need to let their customers know how much the specials are instead they wait until they get the bill.
Make sure to ask for prices on specials, so you don't get surprised when the bill comes!
relaxing and fun
As always the food was great. The service was excellent. This is my go to place for Italian on Main Street.
Our group of six women enjoyed a great birthday dinner, except the large table seated next to us was extremely loud and we could barely hear each other. Maybe be groups shouldn't be seated so close to one another. Service was excellent. I was very happy that my Caesar Salad was served with real anchovies! The taste of the salad was authentic, and the quantity was ample! I decided to try something different, since I seem to always order the eggplant parmesan. The Bolognese was delicious! I loved it. My friends enjoyed their meals, too. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Flora Springs wines available, except they only offered the merlot, which was wonderful. Overall, our experience was fabulous. I look forward to a visit in the near future. I need to try the veal next time! BTW, one of my friends is on a gluten free diet and they accommodated her without any problem.
Chianti is our absolute go-to! Always fabulous food, service and ambiance.
The food was very good and the wait staff friendly and competent. But it was very noisy as we were seated at a table that was adjacent to a counter where the staff gathered and spoke VERY loudly at one another.
They didn’t honor our reservation that was booked on Open Table.
New Year’s Eve dinner before moving on to our next venue. The service and food were a wonderful experience. Would definitely return.
I have eaten here many times and generally loved it. This time, the waiter/manager was rude and rushed. The minestrone soup had nothing but broth-when he came to pick up the bowls, he saw that none of us ate it, but didn’t ask us if we liked it. I was so excited to see that they put calamari steak back on the menu and ordered it. It was the tiniest piece of calamari steak I have ever seen and it was horrible. I’m not sure what happened here, but I can guarantee I will not be back. The people I was with felt the same way.
Rude staff; very poor service.
Christmas Eve we had exceptional service, fabulous food, and a truly fine relaxing evening. We began with Minestrone Soup, no beans and no pasta, was very tasty. We ordered three dinners: Piccata do Vitello, Scalloppini al Funghi, and Pollo alla Veneziana. Mr and his father liked their Veal dishes. My chicken breast was stuffed with asparagus, mozzarella, and a light layer of pesto. The chicken was tightly wrapped covered with a light tasty cream sauce, also served with polenta and fresh mixed vegetables. Excellent meal. Of course we each had a dessert: cannoli, spumoni (large serving), and tiramisu. We will be returning. Be sure to make a reservation as there are about 20 table, but they definitely can accommodate groups. 5 Star Evening!
We've come to Chianit Reserve a couple of times now and while the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the service is great and welcoming, I'd have to say that the food quality doesn't match to the ambiance and price. This time I had the swordfish special and it was a very thin slice of fish and about 10 penne pasta and some vegetables for $37. Definitely not worth the price. Others in the party felt the food was average or below average
Always a pleasure to go there food service lunch or dinner if your looking for a great Italian meal try this place! You’ll look no further!
Every time we dine at Chianti Reserve the experience is nothing but pure enjoyment!!! The greeting, service, food, and ambiance is always perfect!!!! Absolutely love and we always bring out if town guests here!!!!
Great food. Excellent Service. Just a perfect balance.
Cozy place. Average Italian food. My fettuccine seemed over cooked and the salmon tasted old. We were not impressed with the dessert menu so we left.
Salmon was cooked to perfection and flavorful. Veggies were very good. Martinis
made well and nice wine list. I have dined here several times and food is always
The food is so good. I had the Lobster Ravioli it was so good my friend had the veal she also said it was delicious also had the side salad which was very nice and the Caesar was all very good too. Our Cosmo's were perfection made just as we requested .
