One of the few places with an extensive lunch menu not consisting of just burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and salads.
Their fresh fish was absolutely delicious!
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
We made our reservations with a note that we were celebrating our friends Anniversary and reminded our server as we were seated. No special recognition, it would have been nice. The bread we were told was being warmed but not only was it cold it was very stale. The caesar salad was overdressed and the veal piccata very salty and too much brown sauce. This is our third try and we won't be back.
Great evening food was fantastic servers were outstanding
These folks take an extraordinary interest in making sure your service is top-notch. The food is very, very good, but the service is a step above. I had a spicy penne with Italian sausage, and I swear it was the best sausage I have ever had in an Italian dish, and that includes the time I spent living in downtown Chicago (where nearly every block has an Italian restaurant). Hats off to Chianti's who are doing their very best to stand out in a town with more than its share of Italian eateries.
The restaurant was understaffed and was very slow to provide us service. The staff gave more attention to the larger parties in the room than to my wife and me. I do not plan to return.
More than just the food for us, it is the entire experience and Chianti Reserve did not disappoint! We had a family dinner here Saturday evening and had the best time. Made reservations through OpenTable for 6:30 (6 people) and were greeted and seated promptly at the table I had requested on the patio. We were only seated a few minutes before our drink orders were taken by our waiter, Michelangelo who my husband and I had experienced before. He was just the right amount of attentive, funny and warmth and while some quirky things happened throughout the evening - it just made the experience that much more authentic and fun.
We really enjoyed the food - veal parmesan was tender, gnocchi with prawns cooked to perfection, beef ravioli was ok... and Tutto Mare which my husband loved. The drinks were also on point. I'm not a huge fan of the dipping sauce for the bread personally, and the cannoli wasn't the freshest, but given the overall evening we had, we will continue to come back. The prices are reasonable compared to most places on Main Street and the service was way better than our experience at Pasta Trattoria and Baci Bistro & Bar.
We loved eating at our leisure and not once did we feel rushed, or that they were in a hurry to turn tables (a huge pet peeve for us). No hovering either ;o).
I can't remember the last time a waiter followed me out of a restaurant to say goodbye - nice touch Michelangelo - I'll take a few bella's and flirting with the ladies... it worked for us (especially mom) and added to the charm and ambiance. All about the experience and memories and our family will remember this one.
Great service and eats! I highly recommend the lamb chops if they have them available!!! Eating on the patio just watching people go by is an experience.
Kind of disappointed to see so many empty tables in a Friday night. But our food and service was good.
We loved this place! The food and service...excellent!! Super attentive staff and very friendly. We brought our grandson who is one and they were great with him! The food is really well prepared and the desserts were amazing! Highly recommend this place!!
Food was good but a little overpriced. Staff were very friendly.
I've been to Chianti Reserve four times and I absolutely love this place. The food is authentic Italian and the owner, Michaelangelo is a great host who provides the greatest service to his patrons. I will continue to frequent this fine establishment. The best Italian food in the east bay!
This was our second visit to Chianti and we will definitely return. The food is excellent, and the service is even better. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home.
Always a win at this establishment. Extremely friendly, excellent food, good wine by the glass selection.
Our go to
The food was not bad also not great and very overpriced . Once we placed our order it took about 30 minutes to get it
Love this place, service is timely and food is great. Will come back to try other entrees in the menu. The friends that joined us also like the food.
Great food, service and night. Dinner out side on a beautiful night.
Friendly, genuine service. Amazing food, with a wide selection of dishes. A good ambience, without being too noisy.
Celebrated Fathers Day here with my family. Thanks to Chianti Reserve for making it special!
Great Food, Great Service...
We sat outside on a beautiful Father's Day Sunday... The owner was charming and fun
Everyone enjoyed their Entree's and we had the Gnocchi as an appetizer split 4 ways - Outstanding
Parked in the lot behind the restaurant..
Would recommend to all!
Great authentic Italian food. Good to spend time with friends and family
Excellent as always, our Go To place. You are always greeting with smiles and a hello. You are remembered if you have been there before, even with the meal you last ordered. Good red wine selection by the glass and not overpriced. Will not disappoint
We only dine here occasionally, but were greeted enthusiastically and seated immediately. Our drink order was taken very quickly and the specials were recited and explained. As always, the food was excellent and the service attentive but not intrusive. Will continue as a regular and highly recommend.
We love Chianti the food is authentic and delicious. The service is flawless and friendly.
We love it here! Service and food are always great. Delicious Italian dishes. Always our Italian go-to!
Food was not the best.
I ordered the lobster ravioli.
It tasted like a lobster paste out of a can.....Ughhhhhh
We celebrated Mother’s Day here. My wife loved it as well as we did. We look forward to a return visit. Excellent food & service.
I looked at their menu prior to going to the restaurant. There was no mention that things would be different because it was Mother's day. We went there for lunch. When I arrived they gave us a menu that was more than doubled in price. My daughter ordered the raviolis with walnut cream sauce the menu on line says $13 they chard $30. The bruschetta was $10 on the online menu and the menu at the restaurant charged $18. My Mom's food had a hair in it so she had nothing. My risotto was yellow rice very watery with shellfish not a good flavor to the risotto. My mom had a watery lemonade and my daughter had one mimosa while I drank water. NEVER going back total rip off for lunch for two $120.
From the time we walked in to the end of dinner, everything was great. Exceptional service and great food. Thank You
Always good been their 15 times if you want Italian come here you’ll be glad
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. It was a bit spendy but we wanted a nice lunch that day and we got it. What more could a person want?
Always a dependable place to dine. Quality of food and service spot on.
Easter lunch. On point
Great service, atmosphere and food. Out door seating. Staff was friendly and helpful with the recommendations.
Great food, wonderful service!
Work friends birthday party
My wife and I typically have dinner at Chianti Reserve once every few weeks. It is located in a prime spot in downtown Pleasanton. The owner is very friendly (if a bit loud) and service is prompt. Most recently, we had the halibut (a special) and spaghetti and meatballs, along with wine and a martini. The halibut would have been better without the dill sauce but the portion was more than ample. We took home half of the spaghetti and meatballs. The restaurant also has an outdoor dining area which is nice when the weather permits. We think the restaurant is one of the better Italian restaurants in Pleasanton which is why it is on our rotation. Dinner with drinks will be in the neighborhood of $100.
Everyone at our table enjoyed the very delicious meals served. From the seafood-based to the vegetarian options, all were winners!
We also agreed that the very homey atmosphere was perfect for celebrating family birthdays. This was the 4th time we gathered there and it certainly won't be the last!
Great food and service. We had the whole place to ourselves.
Cozy spot in downtown Pleasanton with authentic Italian menu. Several specials (a little pricey) but we found good choices in the menu. Everything was fine, and the food was served piping hot, which is a big deal to me. Service was friendly but not intrusive.
